Chapter 26
Three days passed.
Itadori was finally out of bed, much to Gojo's relief. The cracks in his body have all healed up. None of his curse energy was leaking out, however the curse attacks have yet to stop. This was a rather interesting development as he took notice himself. Gojo has seen the curses that dare to come to the school, normally they avoid this place unless they are really organized and coordinated. But as of late, they just appear to be massive and not very smart. Nobara and Fushiguro have been using these opportunities to strength themselves, same with the second year students who easily clean out these creatures.
Yet from what he remembered Suiryu say after the first attack, made Gojo realize he was right. "They aren't here to take his power… they are here to try and kill Itadori… but why?" he muttered.
When Yuuji was better, he walked outside for the first time in nearly three weeks since the incident. He took in a deep breath if fresh air before peering about the school. He paused a moment as he appeared to have sensed something off. "Itadori?" Gojo called.
Yuuji turned to him oddly before pointing out to the line of trees. "What's with all the curses?" he asked. "This isn't usual…" More just appeared, yet once they took a look at Itadori, they turned tail and ran for it!
"That's… even more unusual…."
"No kidding, for now, how about we just let things be and relax, besides, you've been through a lot…"
Yuuji nodded in agreement, just as his stomach was acting up. "Ugh, I've been feeling off for a while now…" he muttered.
"Demon vessel!"
"Oh, it appears they are in a mood today…"
Gojo waited as some of the councilmen approached him. They were stunned to see Itadori out and about, after what happened. "What in God's name occurred? We heard you were possessed!"
Satoru paused as Yuuji merely glared at them. "Don't think I didn't know you were planning on helping him leave here." He said in a warning tone. "Not to mention, even after when I told you I was no longer possessed… you were still going to send me to Hong Kong!"
Gojo came out a little more, when Itadori starts defending himself. The council gets a little nervous and stupid. "We… were never going to help him," one finally said aloud. "Possession is a very dangerous and unforgivable…"
"I heard enough," Itadori said firmly, and yet his tone was still oddly gentle. "I don't want to hear your excuses, I don't care for them either." He said firmly. "If anything… elders… councilmen… whoever you are… I want to be left alone. I don't want to deal with you, or have to listen to you… since quite frankly, you never really listened to me. Why should I give the same courtesy back?"
They froze. Even Gojo paused to his Itadori's words. He was being serious! Normally he would listen to the councilmen whenever they came before him, but it appears enough is enough in his mind!
They didn't even know what to say to him.
"Sensei… I'm going out for a while, okay… Ugh…" he paused as his stomach ached up again. In fact, Gojo could hear it moaning from where he stood!
"You sure? You don't sound too…"
BLECH!
No one moved.
Itadori cleared the bile from his lip before he peered down to what was expelled; even he was startled by it!
The remains of the body thief were just thrown up!
Itadori himself froze as he stared down the bloody remains of the sorcerer who possessed him. He hocked up a good wad of phlegm to clear the taste out of his mouth too before staring down the broken body. "Huh… at least I didn't look as bad as him after it all…" Itadori muttered. "Who knew a soul took physical form when getting rejected?"
Gojo smirked as he approached and peered down at the shattered and broken remains. "I think you got all of him out." He said offhandedly. "Feel better?"
"Oddly enough yes," Yuuji said and smirked a little. "Can't say I feel bad for him, but at the same time… I'm glad that's out of me!"
Gojo nodded in agreement. "If you want to head out, Itadori. I say go for it. You should go visit your older brothers. They miss you."
He nodded in agreement, Yuuji left shortly after as Gojo glared down the councilmen. "You were going to get rid of him… without considering the consequences for it all? You are bigger morons than I thought."
"You rather have that ticking time bomb wondering around here! The elders of the divine institution told us that if that boy combines Divine and curse energy… he will destroy most of Japan!"
"So… ship him off to the people who told you this because…?" Gojo asked in confusion. "It doesn't seem you understand the situation. Itadori has been in remarkable control of his own power. More so than what you give him credit for, as well, you got rid of him… what exactly would be preventing Suiryu from lashing out for your actions?"
"He would have gone with him!" one protested.
Gojo smirked. "Really? You think he would just drop everything and go to Hong Kong? Dumbasses…" he muttered. "Well, when you realize the error of your ways, come talk to me. Until then, stay the hell away from me too, I don't even want to speak to you."
He walked off, yet at the same time he felt as if ice water just went down his back. The elders know of the one weakness in Itadori, but also why were they so willing to take the word of the divine oracle on Itadori without really knowing what is going on? That, or are they just that desperate to be rid of him? Why do they want to get rid of Yuuji as much as they do was another concern in his mind.

"BROTHER!"
Yuuji smiled warmly as Choso answered the door. He pulled Itadori into his arms and braced him close. Instantly, Yuuji felt Choso must have known what happened to him and was quick to return the hug. "Are you well, young one?" Choso asked.
"I'm better, thanks…" As they pulled out of the embrace, Choso still looked at him with concern. "I… think I am changing again, but I don't know as to what or how it's happening…" he said offhandedly.
"Come inside, let's talk,"
Choso was the only one home at the moment. Yuuji took a seat as his brother sat across from him. "I felt your pain, otouto… and it was terrible… how you endured it…"
Yuuji merely nodded. "But I am nearly better, I still don't know how. I mean, from what I heard. I shouldn't have been able to heal from it, not to mention, I lost a lot of energy… but I feel as if I haven't."
He told Choso everything, his older brother sat and listened, nodding to him about the symptoms he had. Choso also pegged where Yuuji had ached the most as it was all going on. Which only mean he was truthful when he explained he felt his brothers' pain.
"I… just don't know what's going to happen to me next…" Yuuji said in a worried tone. "Choso… What is happening to me?"
He sighed aloud. "Not even I can answer that little brother. But I have felt you change too. Our connection has gotten a little blurred, but at the same time, I am still feeling connected to you… I find it rather strange at the same time. What is strong enough to blur a brother's bond?"
He didn't know either. "I'm worried something else is going to happen… something worst," he whispered.
"We will not be allowing this to happen again," Choso said defiantly. "Next time someone suggests you get possessed, I am against it!"
"I didn't know they were going to let the asshole do it either!" Yuuji protested, but then smirked a little. "I do admit, he suffered."
"We did enjoy that aspect…" Choso said with a smirk of his own. "But little brother, from this moment on. If something doesn't feel right with you, tell us."
Yuuji nodded. He then fell deep into thought and said. "I want to leave the school."
This took Choso aback. "Oh?"
"I don't think I belong there anymore. Not to mention, the elders and council… they are out to get rid of me, no matter what. I am just worried as to how far they would go to do it."
Choso nodded in agreement. "It's best to wait and see if there is somewhere safe for us to go, at the moment the school will offer some protection. I don't care for these elders either, at the same time. Their plans are few and far between, especially with Suiryu involved."
Yuuji nodded. He's starting to see that Suiryu was the wrench in the elder's plans. They probably would have attempted other methods and means of getting rid of Yuuji, if it wasn't for Suiryu. Not many could pull a fast one on him. Also, not many could get beyond his insight on things.
"Otouto…" Yuuji peered up to see Choso, but he smiled warmly to him. "You are always welcome to move here too."
Yuuji chuckled to the offer. "I would drive Eso insane having him cook for me all the time…" he said offhandedly. "Thanks Choso, but maybe it's best I stay with Sensei and my friends."
He nodded in agreement. "Would you care to stay for dinner then? Eso has wanted to have a family meal, and he should be about done with his errands with Junpei and the others…"
"Is that where everyone went?"
"Yes, Junpei is going to get us out more often and interact with the world. Remarkable little brother we have isn't he?"
Yuuji nodded in agreement. "Wait, why didn't you go?" he asked.
Choso chuckled a little. "I had a feeling you would be coming by."
