Today's another sunny day, I have to admit is more brighter here than Sweden. I was heading to school today, ready to get the semester over with so I can see the others. Man I wish I can skip through the day.
I was now reaching the spot where I crossover with sayori and him, I looked left down the sidewalk but they weren't there.
"huh?"
I usually see them here, maybe I came here a little late? I was a tad hold up thanks to my mom subtracting me with her questions about the club I was in.
I told her to not worry about it, I finally found people to be around and get to know. Beats being alone with no one that I don't know, let alone have anything in common.
Besides that, the other two weren't here so I have to go to school alone. Heh, of course.
I continue scrolling down the sidewalk, scrolling behind plenty of students as a few heard my wheelchair and looked over their shoulder to see me. They were quite surprise to see me, I don't know what they were thinking but I figured it wasn't pleasant.
Besides that no one's bother me, thankfully as I reach the school and head in. I went down the usual hallway and was about to pass something that caught my eye, a poster with a heart on it.
I inspect it for a moment and realize it was a advertisement for Monika's literature club. I guess she's trying to luring people to her club, but where I'm sitting it seems no one's interested.
I don't blame them, if I seen this the first time I would of head pass it as well.
But I'm grateful I took a chance, but still I have no idea what's going to happen at the club when it's time.
I moved on, people were walking right pass me as I head to my classroom.
I made it to class as I saw sayori already in desk as I went to my desk and class began soon after.
After a long while class was over, we all packed up our things and head out. While leaving I saw sayori standing by the left side of the wall, appearing to be waiting for something, or someone.
I scroll down the hall getting into her view, once she saw me she smiled, and head to me.
"hey Simon!"
"hey."
I simply replied as we head down the hallway together.
I was wondering why she wasn't there that one time, so I asked.
"Sayori, were you early today? Cause I didn't see you or mc today."
"oh. Right, uhh sorry about that. Today monika wanted my help to put up some posters to get some attention to the club."
"ohh..."
That's why she wasn't there at that moment.
"Okay, I understand."
"yeah, I hope it'll works."
I glance at her and looked forward, I don't know why they want more members but I guess more the merrier.
Sayori looks at me: "Okay, i'll see you at the club, or whenever we cross paths!"
She head to a room near the left side as she waves goodbye at me.
"Yeah, I'll see you later!"
I put my hand out for her as she enters the room. I then continued heading to my class trying to pass and avoid many others.
eventually my classes were over as it was finally time for clubs. During the time at lunch it was pretty uneventful. Everyone i knew were at different tables, is like they don't know I'm in the cafeteria.
Everyone besides monika ate alone, when I notice her she was surrounded by many people, some were chatting to her as she was semi interested. Most of them were males.
I wonder if she has to deal with that everyday, I don't know.
Regardless I was heading up the handle cap stairwell up as I was finally on the third floor. I don't particularly enjoy going up long racks, in fact is a pain.
I continue until I reach the club, and notice a familiar face, mc.
He notice me as I got closer to him and the room.
"Hey simon, how you been?"
I didn't want to reply but I did, just so we have a mutual relationship.
"I'm alright, been through better days."
"ha, right... Anyways let's head in."
He open the door and we entered seeing everyone here. I wonder how they get here before us, are they fast?
They all looked at us with a light expression, but natsuki was near the back by the right side near the windows. She was holding a book with an interesting cover that I can't make out properly.
Everyone seems to be happy to see us, besides natsuki in that, glancing over her book and quickly look back. Monika went up to us.
"Hey guys, is nice to see you both here."
"yeah, you too Monika."
Mc replied, I glance at him and looked away, sayori was coming to our direction.
"Hey guys! I hope you are getting alone."
Mc glance at me and said: "uhh, yeah I think we're making good acquaintances."
Yeah right, but I honestly I would say the same thing, just differently.
"that's great to hear! You both are going to be good friends, i just know it."
I honestly wanted to frown at that, I don't exactly care for him but I play along. Monika said.
"Anyways, we are just occupying ourselves for now so why don't you guys find a book to read or something."
Sayori looks excited and went closer to Mc.
"Ohh! Mc come on, I wanted to show you something!"
"alright, alright."
The two walked away as monika attention was on me.
"And what about you Simon, what are you going to do for the time being?"
"uhh..."
I don't have a book with me, so I should probably ask.
"Uh, i don't know, maybe read a book?"
"okay, well we have plenty of books near the closet, right behind natsuki."
Monika turns her head to the closet where natsuki were. She heard us, otherwise she weren't peek over her book. Monika turns back to me.
"Alright, enjoy whatever you read, and remember that club activity will begin in 5 minutes or so."
"all right, thanks."
I lightly smile as monika went off to the teachers desk as I turned my attention back near the closet. I realize that I need to pass through the row of desks, thankfully they weren't too close.
I scroll down the right row of desks as I see yuri reading her book, it seems she wasn't remotely interested in me at the moment. I glance at sayori and mc who was talking to each other, while I was staring my wheelchair accidentally hit the side of the desk where yuri was.
Yuri yelped in surprise and notice me, I was startled as well and apologized.
"Oh! I'm sorry yuri, I didn't mean to ran into your desk."
She stares at me recollection her thoughts.
"oh, i-is alright Simon, it was probably not your fault anyways."
Yuri slightly chuckle nervously as I felt like it was my fault.
"No, it was. I wasn't paying attention."
"Simon, don't be too hard on yourself, it can't be all your fault."
I sigh a bit, I want to pass this conversation.
"Yeah, probably. I'm just gonna go now."
I continue on as yuri was staring at me with slight concerns, I didn't mean to make her feel bad. I guess I should of accept her words."
I was getting close to the closet as my eyes was on the closet, at that point where I was going to pass natsuki I ran at the side of her bag.
"Ah."
I quickly stop as I back up, as natsuki attention was already on me, and she didn't looked so happy about it.
"Hey, watch it!"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to ran into your bag."
"Yeah right, you probably try to take it didn't you?"
I was perplexed at her accusation.
"What? No, of course not! I was just trying to pass, that's all."
"right, whatever, just don't come this way again."
I wasn't fond of that attitude, as I continue on now heading to the closet. When I made it, my thoughts were on that cover I just notice a second ago. Natsuki's book cover looks like a cartoon of sort, It was a colorful display with four girls wearing colorful attires.
It was interesting, but I cannot ignore what natsuki attitude was, she's probably not so fond of me maybe. Whatever it was I should probably stay out of her way.
I focus my attention on the closet, it was kinda dark in here, besides the light shining from the windows. I search for a book that was interesting but then I realize while searching that their is no tag genres.
"great."
I now have to pull the books to see which one is interesting to read, until I heard monika's announcement.
"Okay, everyone!"
I looked over my shoulder and saw monika at the front of the room. I put the book back and sigh, I didn't get a chance to read. Maybe next time.
I scroll right out of the closet and turn to them as monika continues.
"I know is a bit early but I believe we should start with our activities."
Natsuki shut her book pretty loud enough for me to hear, she also groan a little and got out of her chair and head to the others.
I went near the middle of the row of desks as everyone was staring to surround monika.
"okay, so today we'll be sharing poems, so who wants to start first?"
Sayori lift her right hand up: "ooh! Me, me!"
"yes, you sayori."
Monika smile amused by sayori's childlike attitude.
She head to her desk while calling out to mc.
"come on Mc, I want to show you this."
"alright."
Mc agrees and follow, monika mentioned.
"Oh right, we all going to show each other our poems so find someone and show your poem."
It sounded like she was talking to me personally. Monika went up to yuri and basically talked to her about showing her poem.
Meanwhile, I looked at natsuki who was glancing at me over her right shoulder. I have a feeling that this might not be pleasant.
She went off to get her bag as I already have mines on me. I roll backwards and got out of the row of desks and natsuki went up to me with a frown like face.
Natsuki was silent while not looking at me, her attitude was starting to get on my nerves as I spoke up.
"Uhm, natsuki are you going to show me your poem? Or do you want me to go first?"
She sigh a little while her eyes shut and open up afterwards. She looks at me: "Yeah, I guess..."
We stood there in silence for a bit as I find this abysmal.
"okay..."
I grab my bag and reach in and search for my poem, I realize I forgot to bring my recent poem I wrote and have my first poem I wrote.
"oh..."
I quietly said to myself, natsuki spoken.
"Hey, are you gonna me it or not?"
That nearly made me mad, I wanted to snap at her but I contain my anger and pull my poem out.
"here."
She went up and took it, the poem was slightly dark and clear relation to my issues so I wonder if she'll get it.
I waited for a moment until she looked at me.
"hmph, is... Eh, is something alright."
"really, that's it?"
She put my poem to her side.
"Well what else do you want me to say? Is nothing too interesting."
I was baffled at what she said, does she even know what it meant?
"I... What? Do you even care what it means, at least?"
"Okay, is just about darkness alright? I really don't care much for metaphors."
I sigh, She's unbelievable. I was losing my temper and wanted to say something, but I managed to keep a hold on myself.
I groan slightly and said: "Fine, whatever! Just show me yours..."
Natsuki seems unamuse with my attitude, but i frankly don't give a damn. She scoff softly and went up to me with my poem and hand it to me.
"here."
I grab it as she went to grab her poem from her bag. She went back to me and gave it to me.
"Here, you better like it."
Now she's threatening me? This girl is really pushing it.
I looked at her poem and saw her nice hand writing, I was quite surprise to see that. But I push that aside and see what she's wrote.
Her poem was interesting, it was about this person who was walking in what seems to be in a odd situations. He seems to have a lot of "bad end of a stick" scenarios, like one of them was where he was blamed for a crime he didn't commit. It seems to be building up to something near the end, only for it to go nowhere and fall flat. Plus it felt slightly cutesy and odd.
Overall it was disappointing.
I looked back at natsuki who have her arms cross looking sour as before.
"well? What do you think?"
I scroll a little closer to her.
"well, it was interesting alright. But...Your poem have a lot a build up for nothing, why's that?"
She put her hand on her hips.
"well duh, is supposed to be simple, it doesn't matter if it have a good ending as long as you understand what was going on. And it seems you didn't understand."
I was now mad, I grip her poem and said.
"What the hell do you mean, I don't understand?!"
"You didn't get my poem!"
She almost raise her voice.
I pointed at her.
"You didn't get my poem as well! So why should I care!?"
Natsuki almost looked surprised by my attitude, but quickly turned upset as I am. Apparently we started to gain some attention.
"Uhhh, guys, what's going on?"
Sayori said from a far, my attention was on natsuki as she replied.
"W-well of course I don't care about your poem! You're poem was straight to the point anyway."
"really?! Well how about yours? Yours is weird and also a bit cutesy as well, plus whatever you were building for didn't made any sense, I mean really-"
I looked back at the poem and read the last paragraph.
"And then he went to a candy store and slept. What does that even mean?!"
I shook the paper in my hand, natsuki was really getting mad, until sayori tried to break up our fuse.
"Guys stop it!"
"Like you would even understand! You probably don't even know poetry!"
"cut me some damn slack! You don't even know what my poem is about."
"i don't care what your poem is about!"
At that point I don't want to speak nor see her anymore. If she don't care then I don't care.
Sayori went up to us.
"guys please stop fighting! I don't want you guys to be mean to each other!"
I sigh, still upset as I toss her paper as it flows down torwards her.
"Here."
Natsuki yelped a little and ran and grab her poem on the ground. She looked at me with a mean glare.
"You asshole..."
She quietly said as she shot up and turn away and walked off to the door.
It was quiet afterwards, I was starting to feel a hint of regret, but again still mad at her.
"what just happened?"
Monika spoke up about that, everyone looked like they were staring at me. Were they judging me? Sayori looked sad slightly.
"S-simon...What happened?"
I looked at her, just uncertain about this.
I exhale.
"Natsuki basically assaulted my poem." I looked at her with a more stern look.
"You heard it, right." I looked at everyone: "All of you?"
They looked sadden a bit, yuri was looking away while monika look sad.
"we have, but what happened between you two?"
Mc spoken up, I moved my chair slightly to the right as I looked at him.
What are you dense? I just told you, she insulted my poem, and she didn't even cared."
Yuri silently groan displeasent which i heard, I looked at her and she spoke.
"Simon i know natsuki for quite some time. I know she's hard to deal with, but she's very 'passionate' About poetry."
"yeah, but why she have to put my poem down?"
"Simon, Natsuki doesn't grow to liking to any new members. I noticed it, and it's mainly males."
Monika said which Sayori replied questioning.
"How you know that?"
"well, let's just say I'm perspective."
She said almost humbling. Mc was curious as well.
"Did you learn it when I was with natsuki?"
"yep."
"wow, I'm impressed."
Yuri said then continued.
"Not even i noticed it."
"heh, that's because you always head deep in books."
"ehh..."
Yuri looked startled and slightly embarrassed.
Seeing her like that was kinda cute. But still we need to get back on topic.
"Anyways. Simon, I know you're probably upset with natsuki but she's uhmm... Intense when it comes to poems. Heh, you don't know this but she consider herself as a professional."
"ha, professional..."
I find that slightly humorous. Yuri spoken next.
"Yeah, simon please don't let natsuki get to you. She may have said those things but she doesn't know you well, doesn't she?"
I sigh softly while looking away.
"No..."
"hmm, then try to cope with her. You two are going to be members here after all."
I sigh heavily, she's right, I need to apologize.
"I guess so... Fine, I'll try to apologize."
I roll to the nearest exit as I pass mc as I reach the door as monika said.
"Wait are you leaving?"
I looked over my shoulder: "Eh, yeah."
I left without much of an explanation.
I was back in the halls as I looked both ways for her, I figured she'll be either out or hopefully still here. I went down the hall and down the stair.
I was rolling down the hall and was reaching the cafeteria as I was starting to hear noises of grunting.
It sounded soft but high pitch, it must be natsuki.
I entered the cafeteria and looked around and heard the grunts from my right. I saw natsuki down on her knees, reaching underneath a vending machine.
"ergh, come on i almost got it!"
I was wondering why she was rummaging underneath a vending machine but i'll keep it to myself, for now. I roll to her as she heard my wheelchair and looked at me.
"Oh shi--"
She reached a bit fast and pull out half of her arm out and hit her arm on the bottom of the machine which she yelped in pain.
"Aaack!"
She pull out all the way and got off the ground while holding on to her left arm looking both concerned and upset.
"What do you want?"
"uhh... I, I came here to apologize."
"wha-- Tch is not like I'll forgive you or anything."
Her eyes looked away while she's still rubbing her injure left arm.
"Just go, I don't want to see you anyway."
I sigh, I been doing that a lot. Is not going to be easy to get through her.
"Look, I just want to apologize. I know that I'm not the best at making poems, but again. I been writing a lot recently..."
This caught her interest a little.
"I didn't mean to let that get out of hand, really. But I made that personally, okay? And you just glancing over it, it really pissed me off, you know?"
Natsuki was looking away for a moment, she looked back.
"yeah...I know what that means."
"then good, but why you didn't care? Is it me, or what?"
She sighed, then looked at me.
"Okay, is...Not you, well sort of. But still, I have to admit, your poem was interesting and a little imaginative."
Afterwards she looked away.
"What, what was it about?"
I was not ready to answer this, but I figure I should.
"It was about the night, I lost my legs."
Natsuki looks shocked.
"Ohhhh... R-right, that explains a lot."
She started to look guilty.
"Ugh, sorry about what I said. I didn't realize what it really meant, I thought you were being edgy or something."
I scoff which turned to a slight chuckle.
"That what you really thought of?"
Natsuki was starting to sneak in a smile: "heh, yeah."
"well, at least you now know. Hey, what's yours about?"
"emm..."
She seems hesitant to answer, but then looked at me.
"Well, is about how harsh people can be, how little they care about others well being or accomplishments."
"ah I see... Heh..."
I thought of how that would relate to me, and I remember about my situation. Nobody cared about my situation, hell not even care about me as well.
"...Yeah, I can definitely understand that."
"yeah. Tell me about it..."
It was quiet between us, natsuki was still rubbing her arm slowly.
"hey, are you okay?"
"ehm, not really. I think I should head to the nurse's office if is still open."
"Okay, I hope you feel better."
She wasn't looking at me, but said.
"thanks..."
She seems a bit distance but might be a nice person to get to know, maybe.
"Hey. Can we, start over? I think we got off the wrong foot."
She looks at me, almost surprised.
"uhh, I guess so."
"heh, good. I didn't want to make an enemy anyway."
"tchehe, yeah."
Natsuki started to move.
"come on, I think they probably still in the literature club."
"Alright."
I followed while still thinking about her sudden control. We were reaching out of the cafeteria and notice 4 people from the left side of the hall.
"hello~"
Monika playfully said as both of us were caught by surprise!"
"ah!"
"aaah!"
Natsuki was really surprised by her. We saw the rest of the members out of the club room, sayori find natsuki reaction humorous.
"ehehaha, natsuki your expression was priceless."
"eergh! Quick it sayori. What're you guys doing here?"
"I was about to say the same thing."
Monika lift her right hand up and point a finger upwards.
"well, we figured that you guys left school so we decided to end club early."
"really? When did you guys get here?"
I asked curiously, they were slightly hesitant to answer, until Mc said.
"we got here when you two started talking."
"w-what!?"
Natsuki shouted in shocked, I was quite surprise as well.
"Mc you didn't need to say the whole thing."
Sayori complained as mc rub the back of his head.
"eheh, sorry."
If they heard then they know about my poem.
"So if you heard everything, then you know about my poem's meaning, right?"
"ehh...Yeah."
Monika reply as sayori nod her head while humming in agreement.
"oh."
I simply stated, well at least it save me some time, I guess.
"yeah, you know i would like to read it."
"me too!"
Sayori getting in the way of mc as I wasn't so sure.
"But isn't the club is over?"
"well, yeah. But if we're still here then that means that the club is still on for a little while. We do have a few more minutes until the club is officially over."
"oh, okay."
"does that mean we get to continue sharing our poems?"
Sayori now getting close to monika side.
"y-yeah, I guess so."
"yay!"
"heh, I figure that it might continue."
Natsuki said as mc follow up on her answer.
"tch, I feel the same."
"well, I guess we should. But do you guys even have your poems?"
"yeah, we all do."
Monika answer my question: "figures."
"Alright, let's pick a partner. Simon I would like to see yours."
I was about to head to her before searching my bag for my poem, but yuri went and push her aside. Not literally.
"I-i would like to share mines with his first."
"o-oh. Okay, if you insist yuri."
"thank you monika."
The way she say it sounded polite. She reached in her bag and pull out a paper as i already grab mines and pull it out.
We reach close to each other as I said.
"Soo, who wants to go first."
"I, would like to see yours."
I show my paper and lean my paper to her: "sure."
She grab it and start reading. It wasn't long until she looked at me.
"Simon, this is actually pretty well, I enjoyed your poem, even know i have to admit; It was pretty straight to the point."
"yeah, I know. The first time I actually wrote a poem. I don't know what came over me to write it."
"I see. Uhm...? In your poem it explains that what made you, well this-"
"Is alright, you can say it."
I insist her to say it.
"Well, you know what I mean. It was a car, right?"
My gaze were somewhere else, I thought about it, remembering that blinding light. It still pestering me, but I try not to think about it anymore.
"Yeah...It was."
"ohh. I'm sorry simon, really."
"is fine, I'm trying to forget and move on. No point in looking in the past."
"yes, you're right. Well a nice way to subtract your mind is to read my poem."
"right."
She give me back my poem while exchanging hers. I looked at hers and her hand writing almost looked cursive, it was almost hard for me to read but I managed.
Her poem was hard to interpret, it was about this two people judging a person in ways to prove themselves. I think I might have an idea what her poem is about.
I looked back at her as she looks anticipate for my answer.
"Well, what do you think? Is it bad, good?"
"uhh, calm down yuri, I'm still deciding that."
"Oh. Okay, please take your time."
"No, is alright. I think I got an idea."
"oh, okay..."
I put the thoughts in my head and went with it.
"Okay, well I have to admit it was pretty imaginative, and luring as well. I was keeping interest the whole time."
"Oh, good. I'm glad you enjoy it."
"Yeah, the poem... Do you deal with people judging you?"
"what?"
Yuri looked shocked like she wasn't expecting this.
"uhh, well, i-i can't say really..."
She seems to settled a little and have her composure back.
"well, I decided to just write a nice little poem I decided to share. The struggle with expectations, really."
"i see...Well, I can see that."
I looked back at her poem.
"do you struggle with the same thing?"
Yuri looked at me slightly curious.
"well, I don't think too much about it. But these days, I feel like i don't feel that kind of pressure anymore."
"Oh, I see...I'm sorry simon, I didn't mean to offend you."
Yuri looked shameful near the end, I reassure her.
"No, is fine yuri. I think that's a good thing now, well for me anyway."
"huh?"
"well, there's only so much a paraplegic can do. So whatever I can do, I'll try my best whenever that will be."
"oh, alright. Well that's nice to know."
"yeah."
I look at her poem and realize i should give it back.
"Uh, here."
"oh, thank you."
Yuri grab it back as she wasn't looking at me but was in a good mood.
"Well, I guess I have to move on."
"right. See you yuri."
"bye."
She left as I notice monika was turning her attention to me until sayori walks up to me.
"Hey simon, you wanna see mines?"
"uhh, sure."
I glance at monika who looks upset, maybe she wanted to see mines.
"here, I hope you like it."
I checked hers out, it was about how a bounding relationship can lead to many things: Hurt, comfort, ups and downs. And even romance.
I was pretty lost for a moment and look at her.
"uhh..."
"what, is it a little much?"
Sayori looks slightly embarrassed but playfully. I find that a little odd, what's her poem is getting at?
"uhm, no. What I meant to say that it was nice."
"Oh, cool! Thanks simon, I glad you enjoy."
"y-yeah. Say, you want to see mines?"
"yeah, I love too."
I gave her back her poem as I handed mines. She read it for a bit as her eyes scan it left and right.
She exclaim a slight awe and looked at me.
"Wow, that's pretty something. Are you doing okay these days?"
"uhh, yeah! I been doing surprisingly well. Thankfully."
I said the last part quietly as sayori let out a small but thankful smile.
"Well, I'm happy to hear that."
"yeah, thanks."
After a while she left as monika like in cue appeared in front of me.
"hey simon."
She said in her usual sweet voice and smile.
"Uh, hey monika."
"soo, you're ready for mines?"
She lean to the side as her hair flow to the opposite direction.
"Yeah, let's see it."
"ookay."
She handed me her poem as I read it. It was quite good looking, her hand writing was Pristiq. What I read was interesting, it was about a woman meeting a person she never meant before, it led her to think a lot about the person and wonder who he could be. I wonder if it's referring to me.
I finished reading and look back at her: "Soo, what do you think?"
"well. I like it, it was kinda straight forward but it was certainly easy to understand."
"really? Thanks. I'm glad you enjoy it. You know the poem I wrote was supposed to be about meeting a new person and wonder if he or she is a nice person, even know we have doubts of who they could be. You may never know if your with someone nice or not."
"Ahh, I see. Yeah, I understand. But I have to say my thoughts: Was this, about me?"
"What? No-- I mean, you gave me the inspiration."
Monika seems like she's trying to hide something, but I don't know what. Either way, I found her reasons a bit hard to believe.
"right...Well, at least I help you to be inspire to make a poem."
"ahaha, well you didn't need to say it like that, but I'm glad you could help."
She said playfully joking near the end, then said.
"but seriously, I do have other ideas, but I figure to make this out of a idea that pop up."
"Right, okay. Do you want to see mines now?"
"Sure."
I hand over mines and gave back hers. She started to look and read my poem and it took her a couple of seconds until she spoke.
"Wow, this is pretty uh, descriptive. But, I do feel sorry for what happened, really."
"Ah, thanks. But you don't need to worry about it. I'm getting over it, I hope."
"oh, okay." She put her left hand on her hip.
"well, I hope you enjoying our club Simon. I'll will do my best to make you feel like you're welcome."
"huh. Thanks monika."
She giggle slightly: "no problem."
Her enthusiasm and good character really make me feel like I'm in a right present right now.
"well, i must be going, we need to finish this up quick."
Before i could say anything she turned around and call out: "Okay, everyone! I'm afraid we can't stay for long. But their's one more thing i wanted to say."
Everyone was staring at her with interest.
"Tomorrow we will be making a story."
"what?"
Natsuki exclaimed her surprise as monika finished: "I know is sudden and different, but i was thinking that we should try something a little different. So i came up with stories. Is a nice change of pace compared to poems, since its just like that, making poems! Only to the point."
The others were slightly unsure as yuri spoken up: "You know, this could be a nice way to start finding my inner author."
Yuri almost sounded passionate about it, maybe because she really likes books and writing. Natsuki though didn't see it the same way.
"Yeah, you would find that fun. Me in the other hand find this hard to grasp, i'm used to making poems, not books or stories."
"come on natsuki, there's nothing wrong than making your own novel. It could be anything you ever wanted. Well, with some acceptance from me, of course."
"oh, right..."
Natsuki quietly said while crossing her arms.
Monika turns to everyone else: "So what do you guys think?"
The other two were slightly uncertain until sayori spoke.
"You know, this could be fun! I think i might come with one tonight."
Mc said his: "Yeah, i might come up with one as well."
"awesome! Well it doesn't need to be long, as long as is a story on is own, then is fine. Are we all in a agreement?"
Everyone agrees while i find this slightly undesirable, i am writing my book about my issues and i shouldn't show it to others. But as long i don't need to show it, and just write some random story than it should be fine.
Monika turns to me.
"well simon, what your thoughts?"
"uhh, sure. I agree as well."
"great, then that's all for the club, i'll see you all tomorrow. i'm going to check on the club in case i forget something."
Everyone said their goodbyes as monika went off the opposite way we were going. We were in a group walking together. Natsuki looks concerned and said.
"Hey, is the nurse's office still open?"
Sayori responded: "Uhh, i think she's close, sorry Natsuki."
"ohh..."
Natsuki looks slightly distraught and anxious, but quickly changed her expression.
"O-oh okay, well i see you all tomorrow."
Natsuki quickly went away from us.
"Oh, okay. See ya Natsuki!"
She didn't responded back, i wonder why?
Soon it was just us as we were now heading to the entrance as sayori said.
"You know, this is actually our first time walking home from school simon."
I wasn't expecting her to mention me: "what?" I simply replied. Sayori smiled.
"hehe, are you a little shy about it?"
"what, no. Well, is nice to actually walk home with someone, i never get the chance to walk home with anyone."
"r-really?"
She looked sort of surprised, mc was looking at us.
"yeah, believe it or not. I never have any friends before, but i'm glad i do."
"really?"
Sayori said like she didn't know. She seems a bit bleak for a moment which made mc concerned.
"hey, sayori you alright?"
"oh, yeah, i'm fine."
Her usual expression was back, i find that rather suspicious but i didn't think much about it.
We were soon walking home in slience for a while until sayori said to me.
"So simon, what do you think of the club, and everyone else?"
"huh? Oh, well i'm enjoying it. Even know natsuki and i got off the wrong foot, i think i might enjoy being with you guys."
"Aww, that's sweet."
"what?"
I find that a bit embarrassing as sayori giggle a bit.
"Sorry, i didn't mean for you to be uncomfortable."
"ha, yeah..."
This started to feel uncomfortable a little, it seems i wasn't the only one.
"okay, well i didn't get a chance to see your poem simon."
"oh, sorry to hear that. I might show you tomorrow if you want?"
"yeah, that might be fine."
Might? For crying out loud.
"heh, I'm happy you're getting along."
I glance at him as he did the same, yeah i'm not sure about that. Sayori said.
"Well, how far are you from our house now simon?"
"uhh, just a little further."
"okay! Hey, if you want i could visit you?"
"what?!"
The both of us said in unison, we stopped and look at each other as sayori looked concerned.
"W-why you guys surprised? I just want to know how far he is from us."
"uh. We're probably not far. Didn't you told me where you live?"
"yeah, we're not far from where you live."
"yeah."
Mc agreed, i look down the sidewalk and back to her.
"Show me your neighborhood."
"sure, let's go."
She saud casually as we went down two blocks until we reached that area i always saw them coming from in the morning.
"we live further down."
"yeah. At least four houses down near the left side is my house, and sayori's on the right. At least two houses down from mines."
"oh, okay."
"yeah, what about you?"
I look down beside sayori and look down the sidewalk. I told them: "I live three blocks down, like at least the fifth house on the left side with the rolling steps."
"oh, okay. Well we need to go now. We see you simon."
"yeah, you too."
Sayori went off waving as mc looked at me, he put on a convincing smile.
"well, so long simon."
"right, good bye."
He put his hand up and walked away to sayori.
I watch them walk off as i move on, rolling my way back home. Today was interesting and pretty informative. Natsuki really chew me off today, and i didn't quite appreciate it.
But thankfully we made up for it, is a good thing since i don't want her to give me the cold shoulder for now on.
I head home, wondering about other things today and totally forgot about Monika's assessment tonight. That will come back to mess me up in the morning.
Monika was leaving her school premise and was walking down the sidewalk. She was minding her own business, cannot stop thinking about simon. He's very interesting, probably the most interesting one of them all, besides mc of course.
She was curious though, about where he is from. She doesn't know much about him, beside that poem she just read. But there's something more to him, then she thinks.
She was deep in thought as she nearly ran into someone.
"Oh! Sorry!"
"is alright."
The boy said in a brash but slightly deep voice. She notice that he was taller than her, and looked different than most boys she met.
"uhm, i got to go, sorry for nearly running into you."
"is alright, uhh wait. You're from that school, right?"
She looks back, a bit curious.
"yeah, why?"
He was tilting a little by the side.
"I'm from another school, what's your name?"
She doesn't know how to reach to that, but simply replied.
"Monika."
The boy stand straight a little, and have a lighter expression.
"Oh, nice to meet you monika. My name's jo."
Monika wonder about him, he seems different. But she couldn't help but feel like she's seen him before, but can't recall. She simply replied.
"You too."
She smiled.
