[Draco's POV]

'Stupid, stupid Granger!' I thought angrily. She had somehow messed my mind up. I mean, is it even possible to look so cute even when she was caught scavenging through my luggage? Wait a second, did I say that Granger's cute? Shit!

Groaning, I sat down next to Pansy. She was batting her eyelashes and speaking fast as usual, '...and my gown for the Valentines Ball is going to be lilac! With stripes of pink!' I sat up straight, 'The Valentines Ball?' 'Yes! Dumbledore will hold a ball on Valentines Day. Although, according to him, it's going to be more like a party...'

My mind drifted off when I heard her say the word 'ball'. I remembered the Yule Ball when Granger was wearing that pink dress. Krum was the lucky bloke, I thought glumly, for Granger spent the whole evening in his arms. I wonder what Granger's going to wear this time... Why do I care anyway? 'Admit it, you're attracted to her,' the annoying voice in my mind said in a sing-song tone. As much as I hated it, I was attracted to Granger.

Just great.

(A month later...)

Valentines Day Ball would be held 13 days later, and I still didn't have a date. Lots of girls flirted with me, asking-no, BEGGING me to take them as my date. Pathetic. Besides, I would only ask Granger but I'm sure she'd either: (a) sent me to Hospital Wing (b) punch me and break my nose (c) think that I'm mad.

So, in the end, I asked Daphne Greengrass to come to the ball with me. She was pleased but she didn't giggle and make goo-goo eyes to me as other girls did, she merely smiled. If I hadn't been so obsessed with Granger, I would totally fall for her.

I decided to take a shortcut one day to avoid Pansy, who seemed to be determined to win my heart. She tried to kiss me every time I saw her, and she even wore very revealing clothes. Crabbe kept asking her to go to the ball with him, which had become some sort of new enjoyment for me. It was amusing to see Crabbe beg at Pansy when she ignored him.

I was walking down the corridor when I bumped into someone. 'Sorry!' the person gasped. I was about to snarl when I realised who I was talking to. Granger. 'It's alright,' I replied and kept on walking, neglecting the weird looks she was sending me.

[Hermione's POV]

Third-person

'Malfoy had been acting strangely ever since their ride to Hogwarts,' Hermione thought as she trudged through the corridors. She was lost in her thoughts so she didn't notice somebody who was walking straight towards her. She bumped into the person and stumbled backwards. 'Sorry!' she gasped. The person looked up and Hermione nearly fainted. It was Malfoy.

'It's alright,' he replied and brushed past her. Hermione's mind was instantly filled with questions. 'Wait!' she called. Malfoy turned around. 'What do you want?' he asked harshly. Hermione stared into his eyes and asked, 'Why can't you just admit it?' 'Admit what?' 'Your feelings for me.' Malfoy did a doubletake. 'What do you mean?' Hermione took a deep breath, 'I saw your memories.'

Next second, Hermione found herself pinned against the wall. 'How much did you see?' Malfoy demanded. 'A lot,' Hermione answered. She could see emotions flashing through Malfoy's normally cold eyes. Rage, embarrassment, hatred, lust-wait, lust? 'Don't believe those memories,' he snarled, 'I would never like a filthy Mudblood like you!'

Hermione immediately flared up. 'So? What's your point?' 'My point is that you are nothing, nothing to me!' Malfoy spat. 'Well, you're nothing but a Death Eater to me!' Hermione shouted. 'Shut up!' Malfoy roared. 'No, I will not!' Hermione yelled, 'You arrogant, stupid, inconsiderate, snide bast-' Malfoy shut her up by kissing her hard. (Author's Note: I was going to type 'bastard', but thought better of it so I only typed half of the word here.)

Hermione's eyes flew open. Malfoy's tongue softly caressed her lips, his hands stroking her hair. Whether it was natural instinct (or not), Hermione found herself nibbling his bottom lip. Her mouth opened slightly, allowing Malfoy to slip his tongue inside. His tongue battled hers, forcing a strangled moan to come out of her mouth.

Malfoy seemed to snap out of his trance when he heard her moan. He pulled himself away from her, breathing heavily. Hermione felt dazed and her legs gave away. Malfoy caught her in his arms before she fell. 'What are we doing?' asked Hermione, breathless. 'I don't know,' Malfoy said quietly. Hermione managed to stand up. Turning around to look at Malfoy, she whispered, 'I'm with Ron now.' 'I know,' Malfoy whispered back.

Both of them knew that what they did was wrong, but let's face it. If they didn't do so many wrongdoings, they'll never be together, right?

I know, I know! It's very short, so I promise the next chapter will be longer. Like it? Hate it? Please review!

Sneak a peek at Chapter 8:

Hermione unwrapped the parcel and gasped. She couldn't believe it. 'What are you gapping at?' asked Ron, 'It's just a box of chocolate.' 'Yes, but it's a box of GODIVA chocolate!' squealed Hermione, 'It's a famous brand of chocolates in the Muggle world! They produce the most delicious chocolates in the universe and are super expensive!' Statue hooted and Hermione looked up, spotting a note brought by Statue. She detached it and read it silently:

Granger,

DON'T YOU DARE TO THROW THEM AWAY! IT TOOK ME A WEEK TO FIND THEM!

Hermione recognized the handwriting and smiled.
