Jetfire finished giving Onslaught one of the energon bottles he found in the mini fridge.
"Okay, little guy, you had your lunch. How about a nap?"
Jetfire lifted Onslaught up to his face and without warning, Onslaught threw energon up all down Jetfire's chest.
"Well, I probably should have seen that coming…" Jetfire muttered.
Jetfire paced around the room holding Onslaught until he fell asleep then he gently laid him on Starscream's bed.
Maybe this won't be so bad after all. Jetfire thought, sitting in a chair with a data pad. He'd just read while Onslaught slept, hopefully until Starscream came back. Shockwave came over Jetfire's commlink.
"Jetfire, I need your assistance in my lab". He said.
"Can it wait?" Jetfire asked. "I'm kinda busy right now".
"I know you didn't leave with the other seekers". Shockwave said. "The security systems have gone out, and it's a little out of my area of expertise".
It couldn't wait, then.
"Well, I'll...be right there." Jetfire said, glancing at the sleeping sparkling.
Jetfire peeked his head out of the door. The hall was empty. Good. If any of the other Deceptions saw him, they'd have a field day poking fun at him. Jetfire made his way towards Shockwave's lab. He had made a sling that allowed him to carry Onslaught, hands-free, across his chest. Halfway to the lab, Jetfire froze. Wild Rider and Dead End were approaching. There were no rooms to duck into. A look of confusion crossed their faces, then broad grins.
"Hey, Jetfire! I didn't know you worked as a 'manny'!" Wild Rider called. The two burst out laughing.
"Air Command Captain Jetfire, code name- 'Mary Poppins'!" Dead End quipped. The two Stunticons were beside themselves with laughter. Jetfire put a hand around each of their throats and held them against the wall, which delighted Onslaught.
"Need I remind you two you're talking to a superior officer?" Asked Jetfire.
"Uh, no, Jetfire. We were just joking around", said Wild Rider. "No hard feelings, right?"
Jetfire shot each of them a look before dropping them and continuing on his way.
