If Shockwave was amused by the sight of Jetfire standing in his doorway with a sparkling strapped to his chest, he gave no sign of it.
"I appreciate you coming, Jetfire," he said. "your knowledge of computer systems is highly regarded".
"At least I'm good at something besides punching guys in the face". Jetfire said, opening a panel.
Occasionally, Onslaught would try to grab the tools Jetfire was using and Jetfire would rub at his chin, resulting in Onslaught grabbing Jetfire's finger and chewing on it.
"Is that Starscream's sparkling?" Shockwave asked, finally acknowledging Jetfire's passenger.
"Yeah, I'm in charge of him for the day".
"He seems to like you".
"Sparklings like everybody". Jetfire said, dismissively. "Ow!" He looked down at Onslaught, who starred back at him. "I see you found a tooth". Jetfire continued working on the security system and Onslaught continued gnawing on Jetfire's finger,once in a while managing to nip him. When he was finished, Jetfire made his way back to Starscream's quarters, once again running into Wild Rider and Dead time, they stood at attention against the wall as he passed. Jetfire walked into Starscream's empty quarters.
"Well, I thought your dad would be back by now". He said. "Your probably hungry again". He took Onslaught out of the sling and went to get another bottle. After the bottle, Jetfire sat in a chair with Onslaught against his shoulder, patting him on the back as he'd seen femmes do sometimes with their sparklings.
"Ok, you've had your dinner, now I think it's time for another nap, I might join you this-"
Jetfire felt energon running down his back.
Why?
Jetfire opened his eyes when he heard the door slam. He stood from the chair where Onslaught had been sleeping on his chest.
"Here's your dad". Jetfire said as Starscream approached. He handed the now-awake sparkling to him.
"Was he any trouble?" Starscream asked.
"No, he actually wasn't any trouble at all". Jetfire replied.
"Well that's unfortunate". said Starscream. "I suppose you'd like to go to your quarters now".
"Yeah. See ya, Starscream. Bye, Onslaught".
As Jetfire exited the room, Starscream noticed energon barf down Jetfire's back. He thought about mentioning it, but decided against it.
