A/N: I meant it when I said that the chapters seem to significantly vary in length! This one's quite long! And I'm so sorry for not posting this yesterday, I completely forgot as I had a ton of work to do when I got home that was due today! I might post today's chapter later, but we'll see how I get on with chapter 8 which is still not done yet.

Chapter 6

*Marinette's POV*

I was still laughing as I walked back into our apartment. I love my parents, but they do have some boundary issues!

I threw my bag on a chair and then started collecting the ingredients for my special pancakes. At that moment, my phone pinged with Alys's reply. I dawdled over to the couch to sit and read her message:

Alya: Hey girl! Of course Nino and I will be there. Please make sure you make your special pancakes for lunch. I'll bring my mum's fruit salad as well.

Mari: Sure. I was going to make them for Adrien and I for breakfast, but I guess I'll make them later instead.

Alya: That's adorable. You guys haven't even been together for 24 hrs and you're already couple goals.

Mari: Thanks Al! I'll see you later x

Alya: See you then xx

Alya makes me laugh! But she's right, we are couple goals! Mmmm the couch is so comfortable. And I'm so tired.

*Adrien's POV*

Nino: Hey dude! Alya told me that you and Marinette are together. I'm so happy for you! You finally got a girl!

Adrien: Thanks dude! Sorry I didn't tell you earlier. And yeah I did get a girl, but not just a girl, THE girl!

Nino: What do you mean? Never mind, you can tell me later.

Adrien: Will do dude!

I think I have to talk to Marinette about telling Nino the full truth. It would be a bad idea if three out of four of us shared a secret as Nino could then feel left out and become vulnerable to Shadowmoth. Plus he's my best friend and he deserves to know450, it will take a lot of pressure from both me and Marinette.

As the car pulled up to the Dupain Cheng bakery, I couldn't help but feel slightly nervous. Do Marinette's parents know about us? Am I going to have to face the wrath of her dad again? I shouldn't because this time I'm here to be with her, not reject her. And of course he doesn't know that I'm Cat Noir so he hopefully won't be holding a grudge.

I climbed out, grabbing the gift bag from the shop we stopped at on the way.

"Thanks Gorilla. As per the agreement with my father, I'll let you know if we got out but I think we're staying here all day," I said before shutting the door and walking into the Bakery. Mari's mum looked up from restocking the case with gorgeous macarons as the bell rang.

"Ah Moring Adrien! How have you been?," she greeted

"Morning! I've been great, thank you. How about you?" I replied.

"We've had a great morning. Lots of customers and orders and Marinette told us that you both are finally together and we couldn't be happier!" Mrs Cheng smiled brightly before adding, "Marinette's upstairs by the way. She said she was going to make her legendary pancakes."

"Oh cool! I've heard many good things about those! I'll go see her now," I said while walking past the bakery counter to go upstairs. Something was strange though, no delicious smells of cooking were wafting down the stairs.

I got to the top and gently knocked on the door to the apartment to see that she'd left it slightly open. I pushed it open to see her kitchen was spotless with a pile of ingredients on the side, but no cooking going on.

"Mari? Where are you?" I called. Tikki then flew over and shushed me, pointing to my beautiful girlfriend sleeping with her head resting on the back of the sofa. I chuckled and went to sit next to her, gently shifting her head to rest on my chest rather than the sofa. My arm was wrapped around her, gently stroking her arm when I felt my eyes start to droop. I think I felt Tikki and Plagg pull a blanket over us as my head dropped to lean against Marinette's.

*Third Person POV*

Alya and Nino were laughing as they walked into the back door of the bakery. They'd just been talking about crazy theories relating to how the Adrienette ship finally sailed.

"Al's I thought you said Mari was making her pancakes for lunch. Wouldn't we be able to smell the deliciousness by now," Nino enquired, stopping in the middle of the stairs, nearly causing Alya to bump into him.

"Careful Nino, I nearly face planted right into your back! But you're right, normally I'm salivating by the time I get to the first flight of stairs. I wonder what happened? Maybe our friends have been too busy this morning!" Alya winked, starting to climb the stairs again.

"ALYA! They just got together yesterday!" Nino exclaimed

"Yes after years of pent up feelings!" Alya countered as she reached the door to Mari's place, finding it unlocked as normal. "Marinette? Adrien?" Then she spotted them and tapped Nino on the shoulder pointing towards the couch. Marinette and Adrien were snuggled together, both sleeping deeply with gentle smiles on their faces. They looked as if they fit together as well as the moon and stars.

"They really are made for each other. But seeing as nothing has happened around here, I'm guessing they've been asleep since he got here, so it's time to wake them up," Alya said, not even trying to keep her voice low in order to not wake them up.

"But they look so cute, Als. Can we at least take a picture of them? They'd thank us later, and we get to build a stash of pictures to show at their wedding," Nino joked.

"Yes, take a picture please. It will go perfectly with the one that I have of them from that school trip to London," Alya replied, completely serious. Nino chuckled and pulled his phone out of his pocket to quickly snap the picture.

"Ok, now you can wake them up," Nino said.

"Ohhhh this will be fun!"

*Marinette's POV*

I woke up with a start. Soaking wet. What the hell happened?! Also, who is next to me?

That's when I registered the laughter. Alya and Nino were holding a now empty bowl of water each and bent over in stitches.

"What is wrong with you guys!" I shouted in unison with the person next to me. Turning round to investigate, I saw that it was Adrien, also drenched. No wonder I was so comfortable. "Hi Adrien, when did you get here?"

"Erm I don't know. A couple hours ago? I remember arriving and seeing you asleep on the couch, so I came and sat down next to you. I didn't have the heart to wake you up so I must have fallen asleep as well. After all, we did have a long night!" he explained with a wink, running his fingers through hair to get the water out.

Alya and Nino abruptly stopped laughing.

"YOU HAD A LONG NIGHT!" they exclaimed. This time it was Adrien and I's turn to burst out laughing.

"Not in that way you fools! We happen to have had a lot to talk about, so we met up last night in a special place to discuss," I said. "You both still need to explain why you had to wake us up like this. Now we need to get changed and clean all this up before my parents have a fit. Actually, you know what, you can clear up the water, while Adrien and I go and get out of these wet clothes."

"Fine, but we need details as soon as you're back," Alya agreed. "And, seeing as you didn't make lunch, we'll also order pizza, we need food!'

"Good idea. We'll be back in a bit," I said, yanking Adrien from the couch and up the ladder to my room. Once he reached the top and stepped past me, I slammed the hatch shut and walked over to the closet.

"I think I may have a hoodie that I've made that will fit you. Oh and here's a towel. Honestly, what were those two thinking…" My words died in my throat as Adrien came up behind me and placed his hands on my waist.

"We didn't get the chance to properly say hello," he gently whispered into my ear.

"You're right, we didn't," I said, spinning around in his arms, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Hi."

"Hi," he smiled, leaning down and placing a tender yet long kiss on my lips. "Did you sleep well?" he asked when he pulled away.

"Haha, very funny! But I did sleep very well. You're a comfortable pillow."

"Thanks, so are you! I can't believe we fell asleep for the entire morning though! I was looking

forward to spending some more quality time with you, doing more of this." He pulled me in for another kiss, this time filled with searing passion. It took everything in me to stop but we had to. I could hear Alya and Nino moving around downstairs. This was really not the time to get lost in each other.

"I wish we could carry on, but we really should get out of these wet clothes," I said a little breathlessly, stepping out of Adrien's arms to grab him a towel.

"Thanks," he said as he took the towel from my hands. "It's a shame we have to stop. I was enjoying myself. But I did want to tell you that my father said that he'd give me time to properly spend time with you and that you can come to some of my photoshoots for fashion exposure if and when you want to," he added.

I stopped my search for the hoodie in Adiren's size that I know that I have because I have made it.

"That's amazing! After years of being trapped, he's finally giving you freedom! What changed?"

"Well relative freedom, I still have to tell Gorilla where I am at all times. But I don't know what changed. Maybe he saw how happy he was. I could barely hide my glee at breakfast this morning! Plagg was teasing me about it as I was getting ready to leave!"

"Of course he was! Actually, talking about Plagg, I'm surprised that the Kwamis haven't come out of the egg, they normally do when I enter my room," I said, resuming my search for the hoodie. "Ah here it is. I hope it fits, I was planning to give it to you for christmas, but I hadn't finished it on time, Ladybug duties got in the way." The hoodie was black and detailed with the horizontal stripes that adorned his normal T-shirts.

Tikki then came flying over. "What happened to the two of you? I heard you wonder where the kwami's were so I thought I'd come to let you know that Plagg is telling them stories about all of Hawkmoth's villains, so they're a little enthralled at the moment," she said.

"That's good. You all have a lot of time to catch up now so please keep busy for the rest of the afternoon. As for us, we fell asleep downstairs and got rudely awakened by Alya and Nino!" I answered.

"Very rudely awakened," Adrien added after he had put on the hoodie. "Wow Mari, this fits me perfectly. You really are very talented!"

"Thanks. I'm so glad it fits! And that you like it!"

"I told you that he would Marinette!" Tikki giggled before she flew back to the Miracle egg. I then went back to my closet to grab myself a fresh set of clothes as well. I pulled out one of my black hoodies that I normally reserved for wearing at home as it was very oversized and had red ladybugs and green paw prints embroidered around the hem, cuffs and the edge of the hood. Adrien's eyes widened when he saw it.

"Cool hoodie! Can I put in a request with the designer?" Adrien said.

"Of course! It would be my pleasure to make us matching hoodies!" I replied, walking over to him to place a chaste kiss on his lips before moving to go downstairs. "We should go down before our friends start to create far fetched theories about what we're doing up here!" I said, rolling my eyes. But Adrien had grabbed my wrist to stop me.

"Wait, before we go down and they start to pry us for details about yesterday, can I ask you something?" he said a little nervously.

"Sure. What's on your mind?"

"I was wondering if we could tell Nino our identities as well, seeing as Alya knows and I don't want him to feel that we're all hiding something from him."

I felt my eyes widening in surprise.

"Of course we're telling Nino, it's not even a question! You're right he's your best friend, so it's only fair that he knows! Plus it makes telling them both our story so much easier. They're both going to have a field day when they find out about our love square!" I answered. Adrien let out a visible sigh of relief.

"That they are M'lady! Thank you so much though! I'm so glad that the four of us won't have any secrets." he said with gratitude.

"Me to kitty, me too," I smiled, giving him one last lingering kiss before finally heading downstairs.

A/N: Just a quick side note to say that in this story, Marinette hasn't permanently given Alya the fox miraculous, seeing as, in the show, she mainly did that for Alya's full support now that she knows Ladybugs identity. Because Adrien just found out and they're about to tell Nino as well, it didn't feel right to change the core duo into a team of four. Marinette and Adrien will be able to support each other fully on both sides of the mask now.
