A/N: This chapter is very much fluff. It was a lot of fun to write and was originally going to be much longer, but then I decided to spilt it and keep this as it is and post it today. The next chapter will be long I think and should be with you latest by the 25th of July, the idea being that you get 1 chapter a week, but not on a set day in that week.

Just a slight warning that the rating for this chapter goes up a little because of insinuation, but I can't describe those scenes to save my life and it wouldn't have fit with the tone of this story at all if I did. Reminder that these character are 17 and therefore legal (at least in my country, which you can probably guess is the UK because of my use of 'mum' rather than 'mom', I know zilch about French laws) and not 15 like the show.

Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter 10

Later that evening...

*Marinette's POV*

Our afternoon was great. After lunch, we came back up to Adrien's room and got our school work out of the way so we could formulate the plan to find out what is happening with Adrien's father. Midway through our planning, Natalie knocked on the door to say that dinner would be in 10 minutes. After we ate a delicious meal, Adrien and I were promised that we'd be left alone until morning, giving us time to perfect our plan.

"Ok, so let's go over it again. What's the first thing we have to do?" I asked Adrien.

"Ring up the photographer for Monday's shoot. Then you have to pretend to be the other model on the shoot and tell him that you're ill and can't make it. This should send him into a major panic and cause him to ring my father. My father will then get annoyed and will leave with Natalie to choose another model that works with the theme. He won't need me as we've already screen tested with a few other models which means he'll go look at those photos. This is the only thing that will get him out of the house so it has to work, otherwise the rest of the plan won't fall into place."

"That's right. Once he leaves, we make sure that he's gone and then slip into his office to look around."

"Yes, and this should give us an insight into what's going on with him. His entire life is in that office. The only times he leaves are to eat, sleep and for emergencies that he can't sort out with a video call."

"I'm very familiar with Gabriel Agreste video calls! There was the hat competition, the movie thing we did with school when Zoe first joined, and many many more over the years that I've known you."

"Yeah, he never used to be like this. When my mother was still alive, he would actually come out of the office and go out with my mother and I. Then she died and he completely withdrew himself. He never came out and I'd barely ever see him. It got very lonely which is why I insisted on public school. Best decision I ever made. It was the day I met you, as both Ladybug and Marinette, and my world has been so much better ever since." He smiled at me gently, just enough that I would have missed the sorrow on his face at the thought of his mother. But I could read the real look on his face. I stood up from my desk chair and stepped over to Adrien's, carefully sitting on his lap and wrapping my arms around his neck, bringing him in for a comforting hug. His head rested on my shoulder and snuggled into my neck.

"I'm so sorry about your mum. You have lived a tough life, which you would not have thought looking at this room, or your house," I whispered as my fingers ran through the hair on the back of his head.

"Yeah I guess nothing is really as simple as it seems," he mumbled into my neck. "It does have its perks though. This room can be soundproofed at the click of a button, one that I pressed after dinner. It makes this much easier." he placed a kiss on my collarbone, eliciting an involuntary moan. His lips edged closer to my mouth until he stopped just before giving me a full on kiss, pausing to say with absolute sincerity; "I really am glad that I can share absolutely everything with you, and that we know each other so well"

"I agree, it's one of the many reasons that I love you so much," I said. "But now, all I want to do is this" I closed the gap between us in a long passionate kiss, shifting my legs to be on either side of his. His hands moved up and down my back as mine latched on to the hem of his t-shirt, slowly pulling it up and over his head.

"Are you sure," he whispered a little breathlessly, holding my face in his hands.

"Absolutely, it's about time. What about you?" I asked back, looking straight into his eyes.

"Yes 100%"

Everything exploded between us. Our lips were one one anothers again, dancing the intricate dance. We both worked on unbuttoning my shirt, which I shrugged off the second I could. He then grabbed my thighs and, in a similar motion to earlier, hoisted me onto his hips and stood up, carefully walking towards the bed this time. He gently laid me down, shifting his weight so he wouldn't be putting it all on me. But before he could do anything, I flipped him over onto his back, my hair loosening from it's updo, causing Adrien to reach behind my head and pull it completely down. It fell down to cover both our faces, placing us in our own little bubble. Adrien pushed some behind my ear, stroking my face with his thumb as he did.

"You know I've never seen you with your hair down," he whispered. "You look beautiful."

I leant down and kissed him again in thanks. He pulled me down next to him, not breaking our contact, and reached behind me to rest his hand on my upper back, fiddling with the strap running across it…

Sunrise...

*Adrien's POV*

She looked so beautiful while she slept. A small smile graced her relaxed features. Her hands were resting on the pillow in between us. I took her right one in mine, looking at the ring on it. It really does fit her, the blue gem in the middle perfectly matching the shade of her eyes, complemented by the green ones that matched mine, all three shining in the first rays of sunlight. I stroked her hand slowly until she blinked open her eyes.

"Morning," I whispered.

"Hmm, morning," Marinette said back, stretching as she did. "Last night was amazing Adrien. It meant so much."

"Yeah it was, and it did." I shuffled closer to her and reached over to move a strand of hair that had fallen in front of her face back to its place behind her ear. My hand hovered as I looked into her eyes, leaning down to her to place a tender kiss on her lips. She smiled up at me as we broke apart, just as radiant as the sunrise behind her. I nodded in the direction of the window, prompting Mari to turn in that direction, her jaw dropping at the view.

"It's stunning Adrien. I wish we could stay like this forever, in our own bubble," she sighed.

"I think I have to agree. Plus there's someone even more stunning that's been added to the view," I said into her ear as I moved even closer to her, wrapping my arm around her waist and hugging her into my stomach. Her hand reached up behind her to stroke my hair, laughing gently at my joke.

"You're an idiot you know!"

"I do! But I do know that calling me an idiot is an endearing way of telling me that you love me. I watched the Robin 101 episode of How I Met Your Mother!"

"Oh you did, did you?!"

"Yeah, it's a great program. The ending killed me, but it was so good."

"Yeah I agree.." Her voice trailed off as the ring caught her eye, the stones refracting light from the window, shining blue and green light over the white of the bed sheets. "This ring Adrien. It's beautiful. I honestly don't know how you managed to get this."

"Neither do I to be honest. But the moment I saw it, I knew that it was for you. I've actually had it for a while to maybe give it to you for your 18th birthday, but I didn't know if it was too much for a friend. Obviously I was in denial of the actual reason why it made me think of you at the time, but when it clicked last week and then I knew that I had to give it to you as soon as possible."

"Wow Adrien. It's stories like that that make me realise that we really have been blind idiots."

"You're 100% right. But we're here now, we opened our eyes and found each other. And that's all that matters."

At that, Marinette turned her head and placed a lingering kiss on my lips before turning back towards the sunrise. I hugged her close with one arm and held her right hand with the other, gently kissing her shoulder before settling in to watch the last rays of orange light rise over the rooftops of Paris.

It was a beautiful way to start the day, encapsulated by our bubble, blissfully unaware of what the day had in store for us.
