"Take a walk with me," he whispered in her ear. "I have to tell you something."

Ginny rolled her eyes. It was Dean. She had broken it off with him a few days ago, but he'd made it clear he didn't want to let her go. "I'm studying. I don't have time for this right now. That's why I came to the library," she replied in an annoyed tone and turned back to her books.

"Ginny, I just want us to work this out. I love you!" he implored.

She was so frustrated. He was trying to use emotional blackmail to convince her they should get back together and she wanted no part of it. She stared into his eyes and told him exactly what she thought. "Dean, I am going to be as clear as I can about this. I told you I don't want to be with you. I don't feel the same about you. It's over, please stop badgering me," she reaffirmed before returning to her attention to her studies. Dean hovered over her shoulder for a little longer, but Ginny steadfastly ignored his presence and he eventually gave up and walked away.

After he left, Ginny shook her head at his persistence. They'd had some fun when they were together, but Dean had become increasingly possessive which made Ginny realize that he wanted more from her than she had to give. She wanted to feel the butterflies in her stomach when the boy she was dating walked into the room. She wanted to feel like she would do anything to be with him. Unfortunately, the only person Ginny had ever felt that way about was Harry Potter. Granted, that was a childhood crush and she was long over him. She'd date Michael, Dean, and even gone to the Yule Ball with Neville since then, but she still remembered the way her heart would flutter and her palms would sweat when he entered the room. Although it had led to some embarrassing moments like putting her elbow in the butter dish that one time and her being completely terrified in his presence for a while, she had matured. Nowadays she could have full conversations with Harry and would even consider him a friend.

It took her a few more minutes to gather her wits and get back to her work before she heard someone behind her clear his throat. She sighed, feeling irritated by these constant interruptions. "What now?" she barked testily.

"Ummm, Ginny? I just wanted to check that you were ok. I saw that thing that happened with Dean and well, I dunno. Are you ok?"

It was Harry. And then she felt it. The fluttering in her chest and the moisture on her palms. Oh, bugger. Not again!

A/N: Today's prompt is #O70 "Take a walk with me," he whispered in her ear. "I have to tell you something."

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this one, but here it is.
