All Hell breaks loose when DX return to take over the WWE and Seth and the God girls wonder who is going to be the last DX family member standing after Wrestlemania.
Chapter Two – Going Down
WWE HQ, Stamford, CT
Charlotte and Ric Flair came out of WWE HQ with Sasha Banks and Faith Star to go to Starbucks but when they looked back over the building, they saw hundreds of employees fleeing to the outside.
"It must be a fire drill," Ric Flair said but Faith Star shook her head.
"That's no fire drill," Hunter's granddaughter replied. "We better get over there,"
"What's going on?" Sasha asked Faith Star and the two year-old was suddenly very conscious of the fact that she had MacKenzie's DX wedding ring.
"The trace bugs are back," Faith Star said and Sasha shuddered while the Flairs looked at her strangely.
"What are trace bugs?" Charlotte asked.
"They're little robot bugs designed by Professor Kendrick Alexander to track down the DX jewels," Sasha explained.
"Kendrick Alexander, isn't she that Harvard professor that's dating Kenny Omega?" Charlotte asked as they headed back to WWE HQ.
"Yup she's the one, she's also in league with Stephanie McMahon," Faith Star added and they stood opposite the WWE HQ and saw all the panicked faces of employees wondering where all the robot bugs came from.
"Should we call an exterminator?" one of the employees asked.
"They're not real bugs though," another employee answered.
"I tried to step on one but they just scatter," another employee said.
"No, don't step on them. They're poisonous," Sasha explained and it suddenly started to get very cold.
"Wow, when did it get so chilly?" Charlotte said rubbing her arms and Faith Star looked up at the sky as the trace bugs targeted her.
"Aunty Ro-Ro!" Faith Star exclaimed as Aurora Rose Helmsley arrived with Angelo Jericho on her back. She arrived just-in-time to grab her niece and put her in a safe place far away from the trace bugs that had located the DX ring she was keeping safe.
"Urgh, you bugs are back again, didn't you learn anything from the last time I got rid of you?" Aurora said and she spun the bugs up in a whirlwind and sent them back to Harvard.
"Yay!" the WWE employees cheered before going back inside.
"Thanks Aurora, you're the best out of all the Helmsley kids in my opinion," one of the employees said but Aurora took the compliment in her stride.
"I think we're all pretty cool," she replied coolly before getting Faith Star down from the tree she had put her in.
Angelo Jericho shook his head in disapproval, "I can't believe Hayworth's ex-girlfriend is still using those bugs. They are so dangerous, they should not be around civilians. Kendrick was supposed to use them for researcch purposes only. The Dean at Harvard would be so mad if he knew what she was doing,"
Sasha shook her head, "Well, I'm sure Stephanie convinced her to change her mind.
Probably gave her a really nice payoff too," she said. "Thank God you came here when you did Aurora,"
"I always know when my family needs me and those bugs wanted Mac's DX ring. Come on guys, we better get out of here before my Mom shows up," Aurora said cautiously and Charlotte folded her arms across her chest.
"I'm not going anywhere. If you guys wanna run and hide from Stephanie you go right ahead but I'm staying put," Charlotte said.
Aurora gave Charlotte a sober look, "This isn't about you right now Charlotte, it's about the ring that my niece is protecting. If my Mom knows its here, she'll come out with the sole intention of getting it from Faith Star. It'll get ugly, real fast," Aurora said.
"Come on let's go, I don't want anymore drama," Ric Flair said and Stephanie suddenly appeared out of nowhere with Jeff and Beth Hardy, Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega and Kendrick Alexander with her.
Faith Star turned to Sasha Banks and reached up signalling for Sasha to pick her up. Faith Star was scared and Sasha's Mom instincts to protect the little DX baby kicked in.
Stephanie zeroed in on Charlotte Flair, "I suggest you and your father take off, this has nothing to do with you. This is family business," Stephanie said and Charlotte tightened her jaw as Stephanie tried to intimidate her.
"Actually, I don't think this is your buisness anymore. If anything, you're the one who shouldn't be here, we actually work for the WWE, so maybe you should leave," Charlotte said but AJ and Aurora talked her down.
"Maybe you should go home Charlotte, let us talk to Mom on our own," Angelo said.
Charlotte clenched her jaw and dug her heels in even harder, "I am not going anywhere. I am an employee of the WWE, I'm not the one who is trespassing," Charlotte said and Stephanie's cheek twitched with hatred.
"You treacherous snake," Stephanie said venomously. "After all my family has done for you, after all I have done for you. I made you the face of the Women's evolution. I put you on a pedastal that no-one could knock you off of. I gave you more exposure that you could possibly deserve and this is the thanks I get?! You went behind my back and went into business for yourself with this new reality show of yours and then, as if that wasn't bad enough, you asked for DX to come back and run the WWE after what they did to me?!"
Stephanie was furious but when Aurora and Angelo looked at Charlotte, they didn't see any intimidataion. Charlotte Flair was standing her ground, which only would make things worse. Nobody embarassed Stephanie McMahon and got away with it, not even Ric Flair's daughter.
"Charlotte, I think you should leave now," Angelo Jericho said to Charlotte gently and as the tension between Charlotte and Stephanie increased, Angelo's twin sister Angela, appeared suddenly. Her face was not the face of his twin sister, it was emotionless and hard, like a marble stone. Even her long blond hair seemed different, usually bouncing with vitality, it lay long and straight against her hardened face. Something was definitely wrong with Angela Jericho.
"Angie?" Angelo called to his sister and he reached out and touched her face and it was just as hard as it looked. "What's happened to you?"
"Isn't it obvious?!" Aurora cried out. "Mom got to her, she's gone to the dark side, just like Bayley and Kendrick Alexander," Aurora turned around to Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. "You have got to get out of here now!"
Sasha suddenly felt the need to call Seth but she didn't want to leave Charlotte behind.
"I'm with Charlotte, I think Stephanie should leave," Sasha said.
"I'm not going anyhwere Boss and if you continue to aggravate me, you and Seth won't be going anywhere either," Stephanie said and Sasha felt her hair start to charge up with electricity: her Blue Thunder Bomb was about to be activated. Stephanie looked Charlotte straight in the eyes, it was a standoff between the Flair and the McMahon women. "I'm giving you one more chance to leave, either take it, or pay the penalty,"
"Whatever it is I'll pay it," Charlotte said. "I can afford to take you on Steph, I'm not afraid of you,"
"Well, you might not be afraid of me, but are you sure you shouldn't be afraid of my family?" Stephanie said nodding towards her daugther Angela. Stephanie smiled at her twin girl, "Go on honey, be like your step-sister Elizabeth and make your mother proud," she said and Angela touched her face and pulled her hand over her hair. As she did so, something started to happen to Charlotte's skin and hair. Charlotte touched her face, it felt bumpy and her hair started to itch. She pulled her hand through her hair and looked at her hand and saw locks of her long hair had fallen out.
"Baby!" Ric Flair cried out in horror, "What's happening to you?!"
Aurora and Angelo knew what was happening; Stephanie had inverted Angela's healing Gift and turned it into a sickness curse. Now Charlotte's physical appearance was malforming and she suddenly felt very sick.
Sasha couldn't believe it and she called Seth immediately. "Baby, you've gotta come to Connecticut. Something bad has happened to Charlotte Flair!" she said but Seth was not worried.
"I know, don't worry. Just tell Charlotte to plead the blood of Jesus and say that the curse is reversed in Jesus name," Seth said calmly. Bianca had already told him what was going on but God had told Seth not to go to Stamford as it would only make things worse.
Sasha knelt down beside Charlotte and told her to say what Seth said. A few moments later, Charlotte's skin and hair were no longer malforming but she still needed to be healed.
Stephanie laughed at her, "Oh my God, is that the best that your Jesus can do?! You look hideous!" she said laughing. "You think you can stand up to me and get away with it? Think again Charlotte Flair, I doubt you'll be able to make it out of bed in the morning now that my daughter's given you a Make Under,"
Beth Hardy gagged, what just happened was awful and now that Anglea Jericho was in the family agenda, there was no telling just how bad things were going to get for anyone who dared stand with DX.
"Get us out of here Elizabeth, I don't want to see anymore of Charlotte Flair's ugly face," Stephanie McMahon said and Beth Hardy Transcended them all back to New York City.
Ric Flair hugged Charlotte while Sasha shielded Faith Star from what had just happened.
"Thank God I called Seth or you would have been under that curse for a lot longer," Sasha said to Charlotte. "Let's go to the Sandbox and get you healed up. Then we can talk to Seth and the God girls to find out what we're gonna do about Stephanie McMahon,"
"You think you can do something about my Mom?" Aurora said to Sasha bemused. "Why are you being so naïve? I thought you were a smart woman Sasha, this is only the beginning. Daddy hasn't even signed his name as CEO of WWE yet, just how do you think my mother is going to react when that happens? If you think what happened today was bad, you ain't seen nothing yet,"
Faith Star hugged Sasha tightly and the Boss comforted her, "I want my Mommy!" Faith Star cried out and Sasha consoled her tenderly.
"It's alright baby girl, we're going home now and if I know Lisa Helmsley, she'll be there with her weapons of warfare out and ready for a fight now that she knows what Stephanie McMahon is planning to do once DX is back in power," Sasha said and Aurora sighed.
"I know what my sister is capable of and she is not going to be happy about what just went down here," Aurora said. "I'm sure she's already called the rest of the DX kids for re-enforcements,"
"That's good because now that my sister's been initiated into this McMahon family madness, we're going to need all the help we can get to keep HayMac safe," Angelo said and they loaded themselves into Ric Flair's town car and headed straight for the safety of the Sandbox, where the entire DX and ATM family would soon be waiting for them.
