A/N: Hey, I got this idea for a fic a few days ago and I had had many before but none had extended beyond a page or have develop in my brain enough that I can see it play it all the way to the end, also this story began in my brain way differently that is now written, the characters have spoken to me and I only let them lead the way. This is the first time I am trying to write a fic and english is not my first language so bear with me and my inconsistencies and bad grammar.
This started as a pure smut project and it has evolved a little but I think it will not stray away too much from that pad. I hope you enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it. I will update it as I write.

The next morning Bella woke up to the sound of her alarm, let sleep had evade her for better part of the night so she didn't felt like getting out of the bed but she had a busy day ahead of her and knew that as much as she wanted to avoid emmett, delaying the inevitable wouldn't do good to anyone so she got off the bed and got ready to face the day and all the came with it.
To said that the sign of emmett in the kitchen was a surprise was an understatement, he was still in his pajamas but was in from of the stove platting what looked like an cheese omelet with toast and next to the plate was a mug filled with black tea, he had gotten up and made the breakfast bella usually eats before she head out to tennis practice, "good morning, beautiful" he greets you and made his way to where you are frozen in your spot in the kitchen doorway, once he is in front of you he take your face in his large hands and kiss you, the kiss reminds chaste but his hands travel to you ass bringing you closer to him. "surprise baby" he announced. "I made you breakfast, to apologize for yesterday." you pulled back from his embrace. "That's sweet, thank you very much." You try to smile but it comes out forced. "eat your breakfast, honey," he says with the same cheerful tone. "I'm gonna go back to bed but we talk after school, right?" Emmett asks you and looks at you waiting for an answer. "Yeah, sure" is the answer he gets and apparently is enough to satisfy him. "See you later, bells" emmett drops a quick kiss on your lips and leaves you alone in the kitchen to eat your breakfast.
You stand alone in the kitchen, your hands resting at both sides of the breakfast your boyfriend just made for you and the tears you are trying to hold back are treating to make their way down your face. " Hey, what's wrong?" You hear his voice and look up to face a worried Edward. " Bella, please tell me why you are in the brick of tears?" He goes to place his hand on your shoulder but you step back from his touch. " Please don't touch me" you whisper. "Please, talk to me" you can tell he is hurt by your earlier actions so you nod " OK, but not here" you peel yourself of from the kitchen counter and make your way out to Edward's study and you stand in front of the door waiting for him and once he has catch up with you, he opens the door and gesture for you to go in before him. "I'm sorry that I'm such a mess" the words come out of you as soon as you sit on the sofa in the room. "Emmett, got up early to make me breakfast to apologize for yesterday" a nervous laughter comes out of your body and you fall back into the sofa and cover your face with your hands before saying. " and he kissed me." The room is silent after your statement but you feel Edward take a seat next to you no long after. " I'm kind of lost here, I'm not sure what's bothering you?." You can't see his face but you can feel the worry in his voice. "He is apologizing for yesterday" you start explaining, not covering your face anymore but still your face facing the ceiling. " he is apologizing for yesterday that I had to admit started rocky but it was so far the best day of my life." Edward places his hand on your leg and you place yours above his. " and he kissed me and I felt awful because he is my boyfriend but I felt like I was cheating on you and you are the only person I want to touch me and kiss me." The words rush from your mouth.
"Look at me baby" slowly you lower your face so that you can face Edward. "He does have something to apologize for, baby you were supposed to be here and he comes home and you aren't and he goes about his life as if nothing is wrong, did he call you? Check on you? He is supposedly your boyfriend and should care about you and he didn't so yeah you were safe and with me but he didn't know that and did nothing to find out if you were fine" he placed one of his hands on your face and cleaned a tear you didn't notice had escaped. " Don't beat yourself up for that, ok?" You nod your answer. " and regarding the kiss" he pulled you into his lap. " Do I want to be the only one doing it? Definitely but that's not possible right now so I'm not gonna dwell on it, I'm just gonna remember that me it's the only one you want to kiss,ok" a quick peck ends the sentence. " I love you so much" the words slipped in a sigh and kissed him back, the kiss started chaste but not before long you had scaled the kiss and you were straddling Edward in the sofa and your tongues and dancing in sync while his hands grab your ass and bring you closer.
You kiss some more till the need for air makes it imperative for you to break the kiss and you are left panting for air, you are about to resume kissing when reality comes crashing down in the form of the front door ring bell. " Wait for me here, ok?" Edward drops you gently into the sofa before leaving the study to attend his front door.
Edward returns quickly and explains "it was the cleaning lady that forgot her keys" he makes his way to the sofa and sits next to you. "thank you" with a kiss on Edward's cheek, you rest your head on his chest and cuddle next to him, his arm wraps around your shoulder and brings you closer to him. "I needed that, I felt like an awful person, he was being so nice and when he kissed me, all I wanted was that it were you the one with me in that kitchen" saying out loud what you are feeling makes you feel a little bit better and a lot less lonely. "I have to break up with him but I don't know how? I don't know if I'm gonna be able to face him" the bottoms on Edward's shirt make for an excellent distraction.
"Don't feel like you have to break up with him because of me" Edward words comfort you. "I know, and it's not because of you, it's because of me, but of course it's because of you." You babble. " you get me right?" You lift your head to face Edward. " Yeah baby, I do." He drops a quick kiss on your lips. " All I'm saying is that Don't act impulsively, take your time to think and calm down, ok?" He tells you. "Yeah you are right, I'm too full of emotions right now" as you say this you catch a glimpse of the clock on the wall. " omg, I totally miss my practice" in a rush you stand up. "The coach is gonna be so pissed at me" is what comes out of your mouth while you pace in front of the couch. " I love you but I gotta go" you peck Edward's lips and are out of his study and on your way to the front door when you hear voices.
Emmett is standing in front of a closed front door and a blond, tall and beautiful woman is with him and they are in the middle of what seems to be a lovers quarrel so you hide behind a wall to make sure that they are entertained enough so you can retreat to the kitchen and make your exit by the back door.
Your heart is racing and the beat of your heart is loud in your ears while you make you way through the gardens and into your house, the closed door behind your back gives is a welcome and calming sensation that brings back your ability to breath and slow down the pounding in your chest, having your heart rate and breathing normalized enough so you walk to the front windows in your house to check if emmett and the blond girl are still in front of his house and as you are peeking behind the closed curtains, the blonde girl is getting in her red sport car and peeling away from the front of your boyfriend's house. You followed suit and went to the garage and got in your car and drove to school.
The day slipped away in between classes and club meetings with the last bell catching you by surprise, you picked and packed your stuff in your school bag and left your AP history classroom quickly. You were halfway to your locker when you saw Emmett waiting for you in front of your locker. "Hey, gorgeous" your boyfriend greets you once you are close enough, "Hey, you" is your reply and you move for a hug when you see Emmett coming up for a kiss. "How was your day? " you ask your boyfriend while you open your locker and take out your water bottle and leave some books behind. " It was good, Mrs. Pritchett left us a paper about the Monroe doctrine, you did the same one last year right?" you close your backpack and face emmett. " yes, I had to write an essay about that subject" emmett takes your hand and pulls you into the hall and you start walking to the exit holding hands. "So would you consider lending it to me so I can use it as inspiration? emmett said giving you his puppy dog eyes and you laugh "I'm not letting you copy my essay" his puppy eyes only got more intense at your response "Emmett it wouldn't work, that essay was entered in a competition and it won, I think is very familiar with but I can help you if you want" you offer in return.

" of course you can come by the house, you are always welcome" you reassure him because it's uncharacteristic of him ask that type of thing, given that since day one both of you had had free range in each others homes "OK, I will text you when I'm on my way, ok?" He answers "OK, drive safe" . You remind him as he has a tendency to drive if he were in one of those racing video games he likes to play and he reminds you to take it easy with your academic load.
After saying goodbye to emmett, you got in your car and drive home,the whole drive you mind keeps thinking about the weird attitude of emmett and you wonder if it has something to do with the scene you walked on that morning and if you are right it must be serious, he is trying to act normal but after all this years you know him well and the nothing is going on is signal that something is going on because if something emmett loves is complaining about stuff and the lack of it can only means that he is in trouble, the pin of a notification pulls you out of your thoughts but you decide not to check your phone given the fact that you are just around the corner of your street and check it when you arrive home.
Seeing the green Bentley in the garage next to the spot where you are parking your green Mini lets you know that your dad has arrived and it's somewhere inside the house and you park your car and leave everything behind and run inside the house. " Dad" you start yelling the moment you enter the house. "the best for my little princess" he states and both remind in a silence embrace that is only interrupted by the sound of charlie phone ringing. "Sorry princess, I have to take this, I came back home straight from the airport to see you" Charlie says while standing up from the couch. "Don't worry, take your call, I need to get my stuff out of the car anyways" You ease his mind and he smiles at you and proceeds to answer his cell phone.
Back in your car you open the back door of your audi to retrieve the green backpack you threw there while you were talking with Emmett in the school parking lot and once the bag is your position you proceed to pick up your phone from the floor of the car in front of the passenger seat where you threw it when you got in the car, the buzzing of the phone with a new call didn't give you much time to ponder why the phone was in the floor instead of the seat, the screen displaying the heart eyes emoji, which you have saved edward's phone since the time emmett had to use you phone because his died, smiling you proceed to answer rapidly, "Hi" you answer cautiously in case is emmett borrowing his father phone. "Hey baby" Edward's voice is the one greeting you back, "I'm in your back door, can you let me in?" he adds without giving you time to say anything. "I'm in the garage, give me a minute" you reply making your way to the back of the house.
"Hey baby, what are you doing here?" you whisper opening the door for Edward to come in and as soon you close the door he pins you to it and grab you head in his hands and kiss you and at first you respond to it and kiss him back but a few minutes after you remember your dad is home and you pushing away from you breaking the kiss. "My dad is home" you whisper-yell at edward. Showering is the last thing you want to do, you want to prolong the feeling of edward's hands all over you for as long as you can but it feels wrong to visit with Emmett in those conditions so you take a quick shower and dress comfy with some old and baggy jeans and a long sleeve shirt with a black cardigan and converse, after grabbing your phone, you head downstairs, where you find your dad and his girlfriend putting their coats on, having dress up to go out to eat, "looking sharp, dad" you said and he turn around and watch you descend the last few steps. "oh, this old thing" he jokes, spinning so you can check the outfit for all angles and you laugh at his antics "You look lovely too, sue" . The compliment comes out a little awkward but you will try to be civil for your sake. "thanks, honey" she gives you a warm smile and in that moment it is hard to be annoyed by her presence.
"Well, we should be going, our reservation is in 30 minutes." your father says and hugs you. "I know I don't have to tell you this but no funny business till you graduate at least from high school" still in the embrace he whispers in your ear. "I know dad" you hope he interprets your blush as being embarrassed about being talking about this kind of subject with your dad and not the memories his comment brought back to your memory. "Oh Charlie, stop embarrassing Bella" Sue playfully hits your father in his arm and drags him to the garage. "We will be back soon, princess" is the last thing you hear your dad say before they enter the garage.
"Hey, Bells" Emmett's voice is on the other side of the line when you pick up your phone. "Hey Emmett, are you on your way?" you ask him. "Actually something came up and I had to stay behind to discuss some things with the couch and I don't know how long is gonna be so can we reschedule? the line stays in silence for a bit "Sure, we can reschedule" you agree, "Thank you, Bella" he replies and now you notice that he is whispering, so you had to ask "Emmett, are you ok? Are you in trouble?" and when he doesn't respond you add "You know you can talk to me right? Emmett doesn't reply for a while before answering. "I know, Bella, thanks, I had to go" he hangs up the phone and you can't shake the feeling that Emmett is in trouble and you wonder if you should talk to edward about it but decide against it.
N/A: This chapter is a bit shorter than the first one but I think that was a good point to end the chapter and not risk it becoming too full with a lot of stuff and all over the place.
