Chapter Six – 21 Diamonds
The Sandbox
Charlene MacKenzie woke up early and left her husband Hayworth Helmsley's side to make breakfast for her father but Hunter had already beaten her to it.
She walked into the DX kitchen to see Hunter and Shawn at the stove making breakfast for everyone, her father at the island drinking his coffee looking just fine.
"Good morning sweetheart," Charles MacKenzie said to his daughter as she greeted him with a kiss.
"Good morning Daddy," she said before going over to Shawn and Hunter. "I see my father in-law and his best friend are looking after you well,"
"Your father is our guest Mac, you think we'd let him go hungry while he's staying with us at the Sandbox?" Shawn said.
"Yeah, Hayworth would never let me hear the end of it," Hunter said and Mac skipped over to her father and joined him around the island.
"If you feel uncomfortable at any time today please let me know," she said to Pastor Mac and the Senior Pastor of Clearwater Baptist Church furrowed his brow at his only child.
"Why would I feel uncomfortable MacKenzie? Shawn and Hunter have welcomed me into their family home. If I were you, I'd go back upstairs and take care of your new husband. He's probably wondering where you are," Charles MacKenzie said to Mac and MacKenzie nodded.
"Now that I can see you're being well looked after, I'll go back to my husband's side," Mac replied and she hugged her father before heading back upstairs to Hayworth.
"Breakfast will be ready in a minute Mac so don't stay up there forever," Hunter called to his daughter-in-law.
"Okay, Dad!" Mac replied teasing her new father-in-law who blushed at the reference to her new marital status.
Charles MacKenzie smiled over at Hunter, "You have a beautiful daughter Mr Helmsley," he said and Hunter nodded while Shawn smiled.
"Yes I do," Hunter replied. "My son is a very lucky man,"
DX served Charles MacKenzie breakfast while it would be a few minutes before everyone else joined them in the kitchen. The rest of the DX household was slow getting up but that was mostly because Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss were keeping them amused in the East Wing of the Sandbox.
"Gees," Sasha Banks said heading down the stairs with Faith Star and Abiyah. Mac saw her on her way back to the West Wing. "I barely got any sleep last night," Sasha told Mac with a huge yawn. "It's just so hard not having Seth in bed with me. I'm so used to his body, now the right side of the bed is ice cold. It's so not cool,"
MacKenzie nodded, "I'm sorry Sasha, this is all my fault. If my father hadn't been attacked Seth wouldn't have to step in as overseer at Clearwater Baptist Church. I'm so sorry," Mac said sincerely but Sasha shrugged it off.
"This is in no way your fault," the Boss replied with sleepy eyes, "This is one hundred percent Stephanie McMahon's fault and we're all going to deal with her today, so your father can have his church back and I can get Seth back in his spot right next to me where he's supposed to be. The whole point of us being here is to be safe from that witch. There's no point in us being here if we can't go outside because of some crazy plot Stephanie's got to hurt DX and their friends,"
"So what's the plan?" Mac asked Boss who yawned.
"I don't know; my plan was to electrocute her but her children might not like that too much," Sasha replied.
"I think Aurora would be okay with it," Mac said. "It might take the others awhile but I'm sure they'd get over losing Stephanie eventually,"
Mac and Sasha laughed at the comments about Stephanie then Faith Star looked down the hall way and saw the rest of the DX family running towards them at high speed. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss had super soakers fully loaded with ice cold water and the DX children were getting drenched.
"Oh no, do not bring that mess over here!" Sasha cried out but before she could stop her, Becky Lynch soaked the Boss head-to-toe in water and Mac covered her head in fear.
"Gotcha Boss," Becky said and Sasha shot her hands out with bemusement.
"What did I do?!" Sasha asked as Abiyah laughed and Faith Star reached for the super soaker wanting a turn with the Man's new favourite toy.
"Don't worry Mac, you get a newlywed pass. We're not gonna wet you, are we Bliss?" Becky said to Alexa who gave Mac a mischievous grin.
"Stand down Becky, I think we've gotten the DX women wet enough for one morning," Alexa said and Mac appreciated the mercy pass.
"Thank you Bliss and Becky," Mac said before running towards Hayworth's room.
A few seconds later Alexa and Becky followed her to the West Wing with their super soakers in hand.
"I think we've been merciful enough, let's get her!" Becky said and Mac turned to see them coming and she ran and banged on Hayworth's bedroom door.
"Hayworth let me in, the God girls are trying to get me all wet!" Mac said banging on the door and Hayworth opened the door to let his hysterical yet joyful wife inside.
"I'll take it from here ladies," Hayworth said to Bliss and Becky who screeched to a halt when they saw him standing shirtless in the doorway. Hayworth was a slimmed down version of his father Triple H but he was a muscular young man with a smile to die for. He was also very polite with super human intelligence, so it didn't take Becky and Bliss very long to turn back around and leave the young married couple alone for awhile.
As Hayworth closed the door on them and attended to his young wife, Becky and Bliss slid down the closed wooden door and sighed amorously.
"I miss being 21, don't you?" Alexa said and Becky nodded. "HayMac are gonna have the time of their lives, they are so good for each other. They're both smart, they're both sexy and they are totally in love with each other. I am so happy for them,"
"No you're not," Becky said cynically. "You're just happy that you can still pass for 21,"
Alexa laughed, "It's funny because it's true," she said and Becky shook her head.
"Get up you lil' beanpole," Becky said pulling a laughing Bliss back up to her feet and she turned and looked at the heavy wooden door that was sound proof. "You think they're doing it in there right now?"
Bliss gave Becky a look like she was crazy, "Of course Bex, they're newlyweds. Don't you remember how Seth and Sasha were when they first got married? They were either doing it or finding a time and or a place to do it. That's what it's like when you first get married,"
Becky furrowed her brow with her arms crossed, "Sex is always like that, whether you're married or not. It's selfish and annoying, just like you," Becky said and she pinched Bliss' nose and Bliss knocked her hand away.
"Don't you like sex?" Alexa asked Becky curiously.
"No, I need sex, there's a difference. There are times when I feel like I can't live without it, then it passes and I do just fine for months. Sex is not a big part of my life these days and I don't think that'll change when I get married," Becky replied and Alexa shook her head.
"Just because Seth and Bianca put your dating life on pause, that doesn't mean you can turn into the Virgin Mary," Alexa told Becky.
"What are you saying?" Becky asked Alexa confused.
"I'm saying, get ready for the next man you fall in love with to blow your mind. Sex is a very important part of any marriage, whether you've been dating forever, or you're an impulse purchase. Sex is neither selfish or annoying, it is and always should be one hundred percent satisfying Bex. That's why Bianca wants you to wait for the right man to come along so you don't' have a re-run of the whole Finn Balor fiasco," Bliss said and Becky sighed at the mention of Finn Balor.
"Don't even mention that creep," Becky said clearly bothered by Finn Balor. "I'm so pissed off that he's "dating" Beth Hardy. She's my biggest fan and he is definitely going to try and sleep with her,"
Alexa gasped, "He won't do that Becky. Finn's just messing around, he's only with her because of Stephanie's demented plan to get back at DX. He'd never cross the line with Beth," Alexa said and Becky looked at Bliss like she was crazy.
"Have you seen Finn Balor?" she said. "You remember how you felt about guys like Finn when you were her age?"
"I guess but, I'm not a McMahon and there are like 700 caveats to add to the situation because of that," Alexa said.
Becky scowled and cocked her super soaker like it was a real gun before opening her mouth to speak.
"Finn Balor is scum and he will prove it by doing the worst possible thing to hurt me and that means sleeping with Beth Hardy," Becky said but Alexa didn't believe that Finn Balor would do that.
"Becky please stop saying that. We'll get Beth out of this mess before it even goes there," Alexa said. "Beth and Finn are not going to sleep together,"
Becky put her arm around Alexa, "Let's change the subject, this is obviously too much for you to accept,"
"I guess I just have a lot more faith in men then you do," Alexa said to Becky but it wasn't Finn Balor that Becky didn't have faith in. It was the green eyed daughter of Stephanie and Jeff Hardy that was causing the Man's feelings to hurt.
"The longer Beth stay with her Ma instead of us, the less I trust her. It's only a matter of time before the McMahon's do what they do and Beth Hardy is a McMahon. We have to face it Bliss; if we don't come up with a plan to end this plan that Stephanie has to get the DX family jewels, we're going to lose Beth Hardy and she's going to lose her virginity to a man she doesn't even like,"
Alexa's face hardened, "Becky, stop saying that about Finn. He wouldn't do that," Bliss pleaded.
"No, but she would, trust me Lex, I know what the end game is here and that's Beth Hardy giving it up to that Irish bastard who used to be my friend," Becky said.
"He was a lot more than a friend to you Bex and if you're right about this, you need to fight a lot harder for him than you are right now. The thought of Finn Balor sleeping with Beth Hardy makes me sick. A girl's first time should be with the man she loves, not the one her mother is forcing her to fake date as part of some stupid plan to get back at us for getting her fired," Alexa said feeling queasy and as they headed towards the staircase, they saw Charlotte Flair on the phone.
"What's your problem just get here," Charlotte said to someone and Bliss and Becky wondered who she was talking to.
"Everyting okay Queenie?" Becky asked the Queen.
"It's AJ, he's being a total priss about getting here so I told him to quit letting Stephanie and Bayley control his every move. I don't know what his problem is, Stephanie doesn't even own his contract," Charlotte said.
"He wants to be on the same side as Finn Balor and Kenny Omega, those idiots go way back," Alexa said and Becky nodded.
"Yeah but DX don't have a problem with AJ, if he wants to get caught up in this, he's just making life more difficult for himself. He's my boyfriend, I want us to keep things going. Stephanie is not going to interfere with my relationship with AJ Styles," Charlotte vowed and she looked at Becky sharply, "Speaking of interference, please stop trying to control your ex-boyfriend,"
"What?!" Becky cried out offended. "I am not trying to control Balor, I am just looking out for Beth Hardy,"
"I know you Becky," Charlotte said sweetly, "When a guy you like hooks up with another woman, you get all possessive and its like you can't get over him all of a sudden. Why else would you have a problem with him dating Stephanie's daughter?"
"Because he's a no-good, rotten creep and she can do better, that's why," Becky replied firmly.
"So, you think you know who Beth Hardy should be with? She can't choose a man for herself, is that what you're saying Bex? That sounds really possessive to me," Charlotte said.
"I am not being possessive Charlotte, I am being thoughtful, I care about Beth Hardy," Becky replied.
"No, you care about Finn and you don't want him to fall in love with a 19 year-old socialite with eyes and legs to die for. Face it Lynch, Beth's beat you to it and she's going to be going down the altar before you and that's why you don't want Finn and Beth to be together," Charlotte said and Becky laughed.
"I wasn't going to do this, after all, you are the newest addition to the God girls but you asked for it Flair!" Becky said and she snatched her super soaker from behind her back and aimed it at Charlotte Flair.
"Don't you dare!" Charlotte cried out as Becky proceeded to wet her up and Charlotte tried to run away but the Man was hot on her tail.
Alexa laughed as her fellow God girls had fun in-spite of the serious situation they were all in.
"I sure hope Becky's wrong about Finn," she said to the Helmsley Girls who were squeezing the excess water out of their long blond hair. "Do you think Finn would do anything to hurt Beth Hardy?"
Aurora, Carla and Lisa looked at each other, "I'd be more worried about Finn, after all, Beth's got a Gift from God and speaking from personal experience, you don't want to mess around with a girl with a Gift from God," Aurora Helmsley said and Bliss furrowed her brow concerned.
"I need to talk to Bianca," she said and she called Seth's Treasurer of Secrets to find out how worried about Beth Hardy and Finn Balor she should really be.
