The next day, wednesday, Simon was practicing his lines in the living room, as the doorbell rings. Alvin and Brittany left some minutes ago, he for basketball, the chipette for her cheerleading practice. Theodore and Eleanor had a dance lesson, Dave was at the supermarket. Simon stood up and went through the door. Maybe his older brother had forgotten something, as usual. As he opens, Jeanette stood outside, with her textbook pressed through her chest. She smiles a bit embarrassed. They didn´t talk in school a lot, Simon was still uneasy about the love scene. He clears his throat. " He-hello Jeanette! Is e-everything a-alright?" She nodes. " Hello Simon! Yes, everything´s fine! I just thought, well, that he have to practice the lines for our scenes for the school play! Brittany and i did our practice, but we two got some, uhm, important lines together. We should go through his together, or not?" She gives him a warm smile. Simon blushes a bit. Practicing the scenes, the love scene, they both alone... He clears his throat again and steps beside. " S-sure, come, come in! I´m al-already practicing the lines!" She steps inside and they enter the living room. They took a seat on the couch. Simon looks over to Jeanette, nervously. " Should we start with the first scene?" She nodes again. " Sure, sure!" Both were nervous, Jeanette felt her heart beating a bit faster. Brittany gave her the advice, to went to the Seville´s house and practicing with Simon. Jeanette wants to be alone with him, but she was so extremely nervous, just about the kiss. She gulps, then she opened her textbook, Simon starts his part. " Miss Violet, it´s a pleasure for me, i am John Clayton from Lousiana! I heard about the threat for your farm and i had come here to help you!" Jeanette answers. " Thank you, Mister Clayton! But you have to know, that the evil landowner Lawson wants to take my farm at all costs! What are your plans?" Simon takes a breath, before he goes on. " To help a adorable lady like you is a duty for a gentleman! I will fight for you!" Jeanette blushes a bit. " Dear Miss Violet, your as beautiful as the morning dew in the sun, will you give me a chance to fight for you?" Jeanette blushes a bit more. " Thank you Mister Clayton! I´m glad about any help! Please, stay some days on the farm!" " Thank ou, Miss Violet! The journey was long and exhausting!"
Music starts, when Jeanette just smiles at Simon.
Simon: First i saw you, it felt like a dream,

They came though the love scene. Jeanette starts. " Mister Clayton, your back! I feared for your live!" Simon gulps a bit unsure. " Well, it was close! But Lawson and his men were defeated, they were no longer a threat for you, Miss Violet!" She smiles. " Thank you, Mister Clayton! How can i reward you?" " Your safety is is enough for me! But i have to leave, to find my place in the world!" Jeanette takes a deep breath. " Oh, Clayton, your place is here! In my heart you already had one! The first moment i met you you touched something inside!" Simon gulps. " I´m only a ordinary man, Miss Violet, without money or property! What, uhm, can i offer you?" Jeanette freezes again, than she thought about that what her big sister said. Self-confidence means, if you want something with all your heart, than go and get it! She takes Simon´s hands, brought her face close to his and smiles. " More than you imagine, Simon!" She whispers, than she kissed him. For a second he was taken by surprise, than he replies the kiss. After a moment that felt like eternity, they eased, Jeanette blinks at him, Simon gulps again. " You, J-jeanette, i, we kn-know each other for so long and...! You, yu know, we wnt on the Valentine-ball, w-we are s-so close friends and i l-like you so m-much! But i, i n-never told you directly, h-how much!" She shakes her head. " You don´t have to say something, Simon!I know that you like me, like i like you!" He was totally hypnotized by her eyes, she never looked at him like this. She kissed him again, than she giggles. " Can you belive how nervous i was?" He nodes. " I-i am still nervous! but not so bad like some minutes ago!" He smiles timid. " Me, well, wil we, you know, make this officially, being a couple? With dates and all this?" She laughs happily and hugs him. " YES!" Both smirking a bit embarrassed, than Jeanette leans her head on his shoulder. Both sitting there and shard this moment. When Dave arrives later, he found them both cuddeling on the couch, with a smile he wents through the kitchen to prepare dinner. Now all six are couples, and that on the step through their time as teenagers. He sighs, this would be something, but otherwise he was glad for the kids.
Brittany shoulders her bag and turns round through Alvin, who was talking to Sean and Liam, when they leave the gym. The other boys said goodbye, get on their bikes and rushes away. Both were living in the same street. Brittany plucks a thread of her pink-white dress with many buttons, what she wears today. She sighs, when Alvin gives her a questioning look. " I like that dress, but it was...simple. I got better clothes at home, a lot!" Alvin giggles. " Didn´t you want to sort out?" " I can´t decide what i give away, some things are so amazing! I donated some shirts and blouses along with my sisters! What i don´t want to give away even it is not actually, is the dress from our first audition in america!" She sighs again, alvin blinks. " The dress is sweet, don´t give it away! It was full of memories!"Brittany nodes. " I don´t want to! A lot of my clothes hold memories! Well, maybe i bring some stuff, that i don´t wear very often, into the treehouse! Then the closet gets a bit free!" Alvin smiles. "You get it full again very fast! Every time you are window shoppping you found something! You got clothes for every occasion!" He teases her. Brittany looked at him. " Just like you with your videogames, the half of them you don´t play anymore or not so often!" He waves his hand. " I sorted out, we donate something for a flea market, the money was for charity!" Last year both learned that the world didn´t turn around them alone. The chipettes helped sometimes as volunteers in the local hospital, the chipmunks in the local soup kitchen for the homeless. The last time the boys had an performance for the homelss, just for free. The happyness on the faces were more worth than all the money in the world and it becomes a party, it was really fun. Brittany smiles. " You share with others, that´s sweet!" She kissed him on his cheek, he blushes and grins. She likes it, that she can make him embarrassed. " How it just going with Theodore and eleanor in their dance lesson?" Alvin raises an eyebrow. " Well, i think that they use the time, especially for smooching, i get some hints by Theodore! They have two breaks while their dance lesson, and their was a corner were the kissing! Like the chair sotrage and the corner behind the gym!" Brittany shakes her head and laughs. " Behind the gym shuld be possible today, Alvie! That guys weren´t far behind us, what?"Alvin smirks again. " They guys passed us today! This morning i saw them in the hallway behind the room for home economics!" Brittany takes a sharp breth. " That guys dare! In the hallway?" " Wel, it wasn´t so exciting as it sounds! The class was over, the were alone and that corner wasn´t crowded. When their´s no calss, no one get there! Smart of that two! And now the second or third time a day, i´m really envious!" Brittany gives him an amused look. " Well, yesterday at the chair storage, not so long ago!" Alvin sighs dramatically. " Yesterday, a half eternity away! I nearly forgot how that felt!" He giggles, Brittany gives him a jokely clout. " You are a rascal! Do you want to make a competition with that two?" " If you ask me like that..." Brittany gives him an annoyed look, he sighs. " Okay, forget it! I mean, i have a reputation to loose!" Brittany snorts. " That you were the VIP in the chair storage, wasn´t a big secret!" He shoots back. " You were even there with someone!" The chair storage was one of the few storage rooms in the school what wasn´t locked and lays a bit beside. The perfect kiss corner. It was awkward for Alvin that he was so many times her, when he and Brittany entered the room. But she already knows the room and what it was used for. Now she gives him an angry look. " But i can count on one hand how often i was there and i definetely know with whom!" He grumbles, than he sighs. " I don´t want to fight, you are right! Somehow it was awkward! And i swear, actually you´re the only girl i kiss and, if i had something to say, the last one i kiss! Okayyy?" He gives her his most innocent glare. She sighs and smiles mildly. " Okay, don´t fight about something stupid like that! And i believe you, that i´m now the only one! And that´s important for me, leave the past behind!" She snuggles up to him and gives him a wink. Alvin winks back. " I´m curious how our two actors get along at home!" " Was Simon still afraid about it all?" Yes, we practiced yesterday for hours with the watermelon!" Brittany giggles. " Melony Waters, Jeanettes double, typical! You´r the only one that getting ideas like that!" Alvin shrugs. " But with that he could practice, and he wasn´t that bad! Well, it´s not the same like a with a real girl! A girl didn´t get part of the fruit salad!" Both laughing, than Brittany places her bag on the floor, grabs Alvin by his collar and pulls him though the kiss corner. " Come her, my sweet Alvie! I think we have some time!"
When they arrived at home, the pink-cladded chipette kissed him at the front door of the Miller´s house. She smirks. " See you tomorrow! I can´t await to ask Jeanette how it was!" Alvin laughs and walks away when Brittany closed the door. Her sisters stood in the hallway, both smirking. Brittany smiles. " Hell, Jeanette! How was your practice?" Eleanor giggles, Jeanette blushes. " Well, uhm, it was." She gets a dreamily glare. " sooo beautiful!" Then she told her older sister everything. Now Britany giggles, too. " This is so sweet! That boy is totally crazy about you, as i told you!" Jeanette blushes a bit. " Now i understand why you kiss the boys so much! It was beautiful and you can make them very nervous!" All three giggeling, as Miss Miller comes out of the kitchen. " Time for dinner, girls!" She frowns, than she smiles. " It´s about the boys, right? I mean, how you three giggeling!" Brittany looks at her. " Miss Miller, we are...three couples now!" Her guardian blinks, than she nodes. " Jeanette, my dear! You and Simon...! You know, i had a feeling since a while, you and the boys...! It was touching and cute! But, the same rules for Simon as for his brothers! Strictly times and i always wanna know where you are! I don´t wanna worry about you!" The three girls sighed a bit annoyed. " YES, MISS MILLER!" Than they giggled again. After dinner they sitting on their beds and talking and laughing, until Miss Miller told them close to midnight that it´s time to sleep.
In the next days everyone was talking about Simon and Jeanette. A disappointed Andy talked to Alvin in their basketball practice. The boy really wanted to ask Jeanette out for a date. Alvin gives him the advice to ask chloe form the math calss for a date, she was cute and had no boyfriend. Now Andy had a date with the girl the same weekend as the school play. Alvin was glad for his brother and Jeanette. He noticed that he didn´t call his brother a nerd anymore and he didn´t miss it. The practice for the school play goes well ( By the way, in the last practice for the final fight scene Lucas and Nate nearly destroyed the complete scenery, Mister O`Dell was close to a heart attack). Simon and Jeanette were a cute couple on stage too. She wears a blue dress, he a grey suit. Then comes saturday night, the day of the play. Everyone was nervous, especially Mister O`Dell, who fans some air for himself. The school play was a big success. Simon and Jeanette stepped in front of the curtain after the last scene and bow through the audience. After they changed their clothes, the six chipmunks met behind the stage. Dave and Miss Miller joined them. The father of the boys grins, Miss Miller smiles and gets a tear out of their eye. " Kids, this was amazing!" As she saw that Jeanette and Simon holding hands, both blushed. Daves scratched his head. " Uhm, Miss Miller, i don´t know what to say..." The guardian of the chipettes interrupts him. " I know it, Dave! Jeanette told me about it! I´m glad about it, my gilrs are so happy! And i think, Simon knows the rules in my household! When Jeanette has to be home and how long he can stay for visit!" When Miss Miller looks over to Dave, Alvin bows over to Simon and whispers. " A little advice, the trellis under the window to the girls bedroom is perfect to get a kiss without entering the house! But be careful, one time i nearly felt down!" He and Theodore giggledd. Simon shakes his head, his younger brother even knows about the trellis. Dave looks at the kids. " What about a little celebration for your successful play! Some italian food?" The six affirmed, Miss Miller nodes. When they walked through the car where Dave was waiting, Miss Miller turned around through her daughters and the boys and whispers. " I konw you think i´m a bit old-fashioned! Not at all, because...i know about the trellis under the window! I know the trick since my youth! And don´t worry, i don´t plan to dismantle it!" She gives the kids a wink and laughs. Dave gives them a confused look, while the six laughing. " MISS MILLER!"
