Chapter Fifteen – New York Kinda Way
Manhattan, New York City, New York
As Becky Lynch flew over the Hudson River with Bianca and Montez Ford attached to her, they flew towards Manhattan where the jeweller was located. As they flew passed the George Washington Bridge, Becky looked for the perfect spot to touch down. The jeweller was on 5th Avenue but it was very crowded, so Becky landed on a lamp-post like a bird and Bianca and Montez held onto it for dear life.
"Becky what gives? Why didn't you touch down on the pavement?" Montez Ford asked Becky.
"Don't you see all the people? We can't touch down we'll get mobbed. In case you forgot 'Tez, we're pretty famous," Becky explained.
"I never thought about that," Montez Ford said. "I guess I've been so focussed on how great God is, I forgot about how great our fans think we are,"
Bianca smiled at her husband's honesty but Becky was still right, they needed a less crowded part of New York City to walk on.
Becky flew them over to East Harlem much to the chagrin of Montez Ford.
"Great, now we have to walk all the way back to Manhattan," he complained.
"Well, we couldn't stay in Manhattan and not get assailed by a bunch of fans. Trust me, let's just go this way instead," Becky Lynch said and they crossed over and walked by a Whole Foods and Starbucks.
"Nice necklace," a man said as they walked down the street.
"Tanks," Becky said with a smile and as she turned her neck, Bianca saw two robbers heading straight towards them.
"Becky look out!" Bianca cried out as one of the robbers went for her neck but Montez punched him in the face, breaking his jaw and sending him down to the pavement holding his face in pain.
Becky covered her neck as the police came running over to her and the Ford's.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" Bianca cried out as the police officers pointed their guns at Montez.
"He saved me from a robbery, you should be pointing your guns at them!" Becky said as Montez put his hands up.
"Will you calm down ma'am we saw what happened," the police officer said.
"No you didn't, your guns are pointing at the wrong person!" Bianca said and the police officer pointed their guns at her. "Are you kidding me?!" Bianca said putting her hands up.
"You have got to be the worst cops in East Harlem. We're friends you dopes, they're not robbing me," Becky snapped and the police officer pointed his gun at her.
"This is not happening," Bianca said as the officers arrested all three of them and took them to the local police station.
Fifteen minutes later, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair arrived at the station to bail out Becky, Bianca and Montez Ford.
"The privileges of being a Flair eh?" Becky said as Charlotte arrived trying not to laugh at what happened to them.
"You got arrested in broad daylight. It's all over social media. The press have already called DX for a statement. Parents are calling for you to be fired for disorderly conduct," Charlotte said.
"What a load of crap, we're the victims!" Montez Ford said.
"Well you don't look like a victim in this video 'Tez," Charlotte said showing them the video of Montez punching the robber that had gone viral.
"Seth should have known better than to trust you to return a piece of jewellery in New York City," Charlotte said to Becky Lynch.
"Where is the necklace?" Alexa Bliss asked not seeing it around Becky's neck.
"The cops took it from me. They taught I might use it as a weapon," Becky replied with a pout.
"And were you going to use it as a weapon Bex?" Charlotte asked Becky.
"Of course," Becky replied simply and Bianca sighed.
"Let's get out of here, we have to get that necklace back before we get out of here," she said and they headed to the main reception area of the police station.
"Hey!" Becky said leaning across the desk to get the officer's attention. "Remember us, the people you arrested for no reason while the actual robbers are still on the streets? We want that necklace back,"
"Sorry Becky Lynch, that jewellery has already been claimed," the cop replied and Bianca looked at Charlotte and Alexa in shock.
"Who claimed it?" Bianca asked distressed.
"It was reported stolen by the Damsels of Destruction. You're lucky you're friends with Charlotte Flair Miss Lynch, or you'd be in jail for a lot longer than a few hours," the officer replied and the God girls decided what to do about this situation.
"The Damsels of Destruction work for Stephanie McMahon, we need to get the necklace back from them before they give it back to Stephanie!" Bianca said.
"They live right here in New York," Alexa Bliss said.
"Beth Hardy could have Transcended them to Stephanie's house. How on Earth are we going to find them?" Charlotte said and Bianca got a message from God.
"Nevermind, the necklace has already been passed on," Bianca said.
"To Stephanie?" Charlotte asked and Bianca shook her head.
"No, to Sasha," Bianca said and the God girls looked at her in disbelief.
"To Sasha?! Why would the Damsels of Destruction give the necklace back to Sasha?" Alexa asked confused and Bianca explained the next series of events and why they had to get back to the Sandbox right away.
Renaissance Hotel and Casino Resort, Oranjestad, Aruba
Sasha Banks arrived at the famous Caribbean destination after meeting with the Damsels of Destruction at Hartford International Airport in Connecticut. They gave her the directions to the hotel where Bayley and Rocky Johnson were having their honeymoon and she arrived there a few minutes after leaving the airport. The Damsels of Destruction asked Sasha if she was sure she knew what she was getting herself into and she said that she was. She was fully aware of what she was doing; she was going behind her husband's back to give Bayley the wedding present that she wanted her to have. By the time Seth found out where she was it would be too late. The Boss' mind was made up, she wanted to re-build her relationship with Bayley and this was the only way she knew how to do it.
Bayley stole away from the Rock's adoring eyes long enough to meet Sasha by the pool of the famous resort hotel. Bayley's tan was already set in and she looked beautiful, as a bride should on their honeymoon. But this was no ordinary honeymoon. The Truth was Sasha knew what she was doing was wrong but she was so blinded by her love for Bayley that she couldn't see the danger she had just put herself, her family and the entire DX family in.
"I can't believe you came," Bayley said hugging Sasha and they sat by the pool like old friends, "Did you bring the necklace?"
Sasha nodded, "I sure did," she replied. "Here it is,"
Sasha gave Bayley the necklace and the new Mrs Rocky Johnson put the necklace around her neck with a huge smile on her face.
"So, what's going to happen now?" Sasha asked Bayley curiously as Bayley started to get emotional.
"I'll tell you that part later, you better get home before Seth starts to worry about you. I'll call Beth Hardy and ask her to Transcend you back to the Sandbox," Bayley said and Sasha nodded.
"Okay, call me when you're ready to talk," Sasha said and Bayley hugged Sasha knowing full well that this was the last time that they would speak after the exchange happened.
"Remember, no matter what Seth or the God girls tell you, you're doing the right thing Sasha," Bayley said and Sasha nodded.
"I know," Sasha replied and Bayley hugged her again, pulling the Boss in close so she couldn't see the evil smile now spreading across Bayley's face. Although there was no space in-between them, as people, Sasha and Bayley had never been further apart.
The Sandbox
The normally fully populated DX Compound was empty this evening because Shawn and Amy's daughter Rebecca Michelle was having her first child at Greenwich Memorial Hospital and the entire DX family and the Ortons were there to welcome the wonderful new baby into the world.
Seth was looking after Abiyah while Faith Star went with her parents to the hospital. When Sasha came into the nursery, Seth immediately knew that something was up.
"Where have you been? I thought you might have gone to the hospital but Hunter said that you weren't there and that I should really know where my wife is. I hung up on him," Seth said. "It's time to feed the baby,"
Sasha reached over to her son with a big smile, "I was just taking care of some unfinished business," Sasha replied.
"You wanna clue me in on what that unfinished business was?" Seth asked Sasha.
"Maybe later, I have to feed the baby," Sasha said and Seth furrowed his brow.
"Can't you multi-task?" Seth asked and Sasha tried to change the subject.
"Not now babe, I'll tell you all about it later," Sasha said and Seth rubbed the back of his neck, feeling his dishevelled hair.
"I gotta call Roman, my hair is a mess," he said leaving Sasha in the nursery and he headed down to the DX family room pulling at his unkempt locks.
The doorbell rang and when Seth opened the door, he was surprised to see Roman there with the God girls.
"Hey, what brings you to the Sandbox?" he asked Roman. "I was just gonna call you, my hair is a disaster I need you to do it for me,"
Roman's face was solemn, as were the faces of the God girls.
"Where's Sasha?" Bianca said seriously.
"She's upstairs feeding Abiyah," Seth replied as his friends came into the foyer. Something was definitely up.
"Seth, something happened when we tried to return the necklace," Bianca said and Seth gave the God girls an unimpressed look.
"When you tried? You mean you didn't return it?" he asked Becky specifically.
"We got arrested in East Harlem. It's all over social media. The cops arrested us thinking that we stole the necklace," Bianca explained.
"And when we tried to get it back, the Damsels of Destruction claimed it as stolen and took it from the police station," Becky added and Seth dragged his hands over his face in disbelief.
"Guys, I told you this was important. How could you let that necklace slip out of your hands? Did I not express just how important it was that it be returned to the place my wife bought it from?" Seth said and the God girls looked down, not sure how to tell Seth the worst part of their failed adventure.
"The Damsels of Destruction gave the necklace back to Sasha at Hartford International Airport," Bianca said and Seth's mouth dropped.
"What?!" he said in disbelief. "My wife was at the airport?!"
Becky, Bianca, Bliss and Charlotte nodded, "Beth Hardy used her Gift of Transcendence and sent Sasha to Aruba where Rocky and Bayley are having their honeymoon," Charlotte said nervously. Even the Queen was shaken by what Sasha had done.
Seth felt rage fill his face as Bianca told him where the necklace was right now, "Sasha gave Bayley back the necklace Seth," Bianca said regretfully and before Seth could shout the house down, Roman stepped forward.
"I'm here as a mediator. The God girls called me and told me what happened, so before you go off and do something you regret, the God girls thought it would be a good idea if you came with me while they talk to Sasha," Roman said calmly but there was no calming Seth right now. He was livid.
"She disobeyed me, she went behind my back and she did the exact opposite of what I asked her to do!" Seth yelled.
"That's because Bayley's controlling her," Bianca said.
"I know that B, that's why I didn't want that necklace in this house. I know exactly what Bayley's doing and it's working," Seth exclaimed raking his hands through his hair.
"We still have a week to fix this Seth," Bianca said and Roman looked at Bianca curiously.
"A week? Why a week? Is there something that's going to happen that we don't know about?" he asked Seth's Treasurer of Secrets.
"Yes, but I don't know exactly what, all I know is that God said, if the necklace isn't returned, in seven days, there will be an exchange," Bianca said.
Alexa rubbed her chin thoughtfully, "Seven days, that's when Bayley and Rocky get back from their honeymoon. We better get to Aruba and get that necklace back," Alexa said and Becky and Charlotte nodded.
"I wish it could be that easy Bliss," Bianca said sadly. "but Bayley's not the only person we have to worry about right now,"
"What are you talking about, is there someone else we have to deal with?" Charlotte asked Bianca.
"Yeah, my wife," Seth said. "She's in on this Charlotte, she wants Bayley to have that necklace. If we go after it, she'll go after us,"
Becky and Charlotte gasped, "You mean, Sasha will turn against us if we go to Aruba to get the necklace from Bayley?" Becky asked emotionally. "After all we've done for her, why would she turn against us?"
"Because she thinks she and Bayley can be friends again. My wife has been totally sucked in by Bayley and Stephanie's witchcraft. I knew that Blue Thunder Bomb was too good to be True," Seth said shaking his head. "That's one Gift you don't want Stephanie McMahon to have control of,"
"Now she'll use it on us," Bliss said horrified.
"Well, that's the chance we'll have to take. We have got to get that necklace back and we've got seven days to get it," Becky said.
"Becky listen to me," Seth said firmly, "my wife is not herself, you all need to act like nothing's wrong so she won't get suspicious,"
"What, why would we act like we don't know what she did?! She betrayed you Seth!" Becky said puzzled.
"Because if she thinks we're going after Bayley she'll do whatever Stephanie and Bayley tell her to do and what do you think the first thing they'll tell her to do is?" Seth asked Becky.
"Destroy the Sandbox with the Blue Thunder Bomb?" Becky answered and Seth nodded.
"Finally, that brain of yours is working. Yes, she will go after the DX family's most prized possession, giving Stephanie exactly what she wants. So, for the love of God, act normal and let me deal with this," Seth said.
The God girls nodded while Roman pushed Seth for more details, "What are you going to do?" Roman asked him.
"I'm going to Aruba and you're coming with me. We'll take Abiyah, do a whole guys' trip while the God girls distract Sasha and keep her out of the loop. We'll call the Rock and tell him what's happened, if he's clued in, it'll be easier for us to get the necklace. We're gonna need his help and once he finds out how dangerous that necklace is, he won't want Bayley to have it either. Given the last exchange I had with your cousin, it would be easier if you came with me Big Dog," Seth said.
Roman nodded, "Should we go now, do I need to call my wife and tell her I'm going on a vacation for seven days?" he asked.
"No, we'll leave tomorrow. I wanna keep things as normal as possible, if I'm not here when Amy and Shawn bring their granddaughter home, it'll set off alarm bells in my wife's head," Seth said and Bianca smiled at his intelligence and wisdom.
"So, if things are supposed to be normal, you better get started on that disaster of a hair Roman," Bianca said to Roman.
"I'm on it, let's go wash some life back into those curls!" Roman said taking Seth to the bathroom on the East Wing leaving the God girls to speak amongst themselves.
"Okay, so how are we supposed to handle Sasha?" Becky asked Bianca in exasperation.
"With the skill of a midwife in the delivery room. Girls, we cannot screw this up. I don't know what's going to happen in seven days, all I know is that we can't blow this assignment. So, stay calm and act like nothing's wrong okay?" Bianca said and the God girls nodded.
"Okay," they said in unison and they hugged each other for support and Bianca prayed that each of them would be able to do their part and not let the Prayer Warrior down, again.
