Chapter Twenty – The Run In
Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino
Seth and Roman were in the hotel lobby looking around for a black-haired newlywed and her love-struck Samoan husband. As they walked around the beautiful hotel, Seth looked at his cell-phone and saw his wife's number flash up.
"It's Sasha, take the call. I'm gonna look for Bayley in the restaurant," Seth said handing his cell-phone to Roman.
Roman fumbled the phone as Seth handed it over to him. He dropped it as he thought of what to say to Sasha as Seth was walking away.
"What do you want me to say to her?" he called to Seth but the Prayer Warrior was already out of ear shot, "Damn it," Roman said and he answered the phone deciding to wing it. "Hi Boss,"
"Hey Roman, is Seth around? I need to ask him something," Sasha said to Roman.
"Is everything okay?" Roman asked her.
"Everything's fine Roman, I just need to talk to my husband," Sasha said and Roman frowned at the tone of her voice. Sasha was upset.
"You know if there's something on your mind you can talk to me about it," Roman said. "We're friends right? So, why don't you tell me what's on your mind?"
Sasha paused before responding, "I did something Roman, something really bad and I was wondering if I should come to Aruba and tell Seth what I did in person, or should I wait until you guys come back next week," Sasha said and Roman realised that Sasha wanted to tell Seth that she gave Bayley back the necklace that she told Seth she would return.
"Well, I'm sure whatever it is Seth will forgive you, so why don't you wait until next week? If it's that bad it might just bring him down and we're having a really good time here," Roman said. "I'm sure it'll be fine Sasha, so don't worry yourself about it okay?"
"Okay," Sasha said and she sounded relieved. "So, what are you guys up to now?"
"Oh we're looking around for something to eat, all that swimming really opened up our appetites," Roman said. "I hope you liked the selfies I sent you,"
"Yeah, those were hilarious. Is Abiyah with you? I'd love to see him, unless he's with Seth," Sasha said.
"No Abi's with Nana Jo on the beach," Roman said.
"Oh," Sasha said surprised. "I thought you were all together. How come you and Seth went to get something to eat on your own?" Sasha asked curiously and Roman stuttered.
"Um, it was getting kind of hot and we wanted some shade so we went into the hotel to stay cool," Roman said biting his lip and Sasha furrowed her brow.
"I don't understand, why are you and Seth by yourselves? I thought you wanted to do a guys' trip with Abiyah?" Sasha said and Roman started to get nervous, so nervous that he didn't see Bayley heading for the restaurant that Seth was looking for her in.
While Roman stumbled over his words and tried to keep Sasha on the phone, Bayley walked up behind Seth and tapped him on the shoulder.
When Seth turned around, he gave Bayley the biggest smile and the Black Hearted One almost collapsed in amazement at how gorgeous he looked in the Aruba sunshine.
"Oh my God Bayley!" Seth said giddily, "What are you doing here? This is such a surprise!"
Bayley felt her confidence leave her as Seth's sweet demeanour turned her evil plan into a heart-felt U-turn. He seemed genuinely happy to see her and her heart started to flutter with glee.
"Seth, I'm surprised to see you. I'm here on my honeymoon, what are you doing in Aruba?" Bayley asked him.
"I know you're on your honeymoon, that's why I came here, I came to see you Bayley," Seth said tenderly and Bayley's heart almost leapt out of her chest and Seth touched the side of her face with the edge of his knuckles, all the while smiling down at her sweetly.
"You did, why?" Bayley asked him, completely forgetting her lines from the plan that she rehearsed with Stephanie a few hours ago. Seth was touching her, that alone was enough for her to forget everything and just pretend he was the only man in the restaurant worth talking to.
"I hated the way we left things in Los Angeles," Seth said trying not to laugh at how easy it was to throw Bayley off her game. He tried not to look at the sapphire necklace she was so brazenly wearing, even thought it angered him that she still had it. "I wanted to finish what we started, only this time, I want us to have a much happier ending, if you know what I mean,"
Bayley's eyes were now closed and Seth leaned in and pressed his mouth against her ear and whispered the next words to her slowly, all the while trying not to laugh at how easy it was to pull of his plan to get the necklace back, "I'm sorry, I'm being so inappropriate. After all, you're on your honeymoon, I better go before I say something I'll regret,"
"No!" Bayley cried out grabbing Seth by the arm as he went to walk away from her, "Keep talking, I wanna hear everything. I'll make room for you Seth, Rocky's out buying something nice for me, why don't we go somewhere private where we can be alone and finish what we started in LA, just like you said?"
Seth was fighting the urge to laugh with everything inside him; Bayley had completely fallen for his plan, all he needed was an hour and that necklace would be off her neck and safely in his possession where it could do no harm. Bayley's breath was warming his neck and judging by the look in her eye, if he didn't move away from her, she was going to pull him in for a very deep kiss. That would be counter-productive, so he re-visited the original plan and made sure Bayley came to him.
"This was such a bad idea, what was I thinking, I gotta go. Forget I was here okay?" Seth said and he pulled Bayley in for a very strong hug. "I can't believe I waited so long to tell you how I feel, if this hug is all we have, it was totally worth the trip,"
"No, I want more than a hug Seth, my hugging days are over," Bayley replied and Seth felt her body curving into his and he pulled back out of instinct. "You're right, this trip was totally worth it and I want to make sure you go home happy. Meet me at the Surfside Marina Pier at 6 o'clock. We'll set off for a private cruise and no-one will know where we are,"
Hiding his disgust that Bayley would so easily betray her husband on her honeymoon, Seth nodded, knowing it would be his only chance to get the necklace from around her evil neck.
"Okay, I'll leave Abiyah with Roman and I'll meet you at the pier at six," Seth said then he kissed her.
As hard as it was, Seth had to do something to get her to show up; if he just left her with an invitation, she might get suspicious and change her mind. The kiss sealed the deal and as their lips touched, he prayed that he was doing the right thing. He had no choice; he had to get that necklace away from Bayley as soon as possible.
After about fifteen seconds, Seth broke the kiss and saw a look so amazing on Bayley's face, he wondered if he hadn't taken things too far. She was in an altered state of mind between happiness and joy; kissing Seth was truly her idea of Heaven and as far as Bayley was concerned, this was as close to Heaven as she was ever going to get.
Seth walked away before Bayley opened her eyes and when she did, her eyes filled with tears and she slumped down onto a restaurant chair and wept.
"Sasha, I'm so sorry," she cried and she threw herself over the table and bawled until her eyes were red.
A few minutes later, Bayley returned to her hotel room and called Stephanie crying that Seth was cheating on Sasha. Stephanie's response was apathetic as she prepared her plan of action to get the Sandbox from DX with her daughter Beth Hardy.
"This is what you wanted Bayley, Seth wants you, how come you're not happy?" Stephanie asked while carefully removing her make-up before joining Jeff Hardy in bed.
"I never thought he'd cheat on her Steph, he didn't even show the slightest bit of care for her," Bayley said while wiping the mascara-tears from her eyes.
Stephanie shook her head confused by Bayley's emotional state, "Bayley, you won. Seth wants you, I don't know what you're so upset about!" Stephanie said bewildered.
"I wanted to torture him, I wanted him to suffer for changing his mind about us. He's fought me off for a year, I drove him to the brink of insanity hoping to make him feel as bad as I did for us not being together. I never thought in a million years that he actually felt the way I do. This was all a stupid game Steph and now it's real. He really does have feelings for me. I have to tell Sasha what a jerk he is so she can get a divorce and move on with her life with someone who deserves her," Bayley said and Stephanie fell back against her plush gold chair and threw her hands up in disbelief.
"Bayley, are you telling me that you actually care more about Sasha's feelings than your own? For over a year you've wanted nothing more than for Seth to have feelings for you and now he does! Bayley, your wish came true, this is what you always wanted, this is no time for regrets, this is time for celebration! I can't wait to celebrate the new Mr and Mrs Rollins when you get back to the United States! I'll throw you a party in the Sandbox after I get it back in a few short hours," Stephanie said.
Bayley touched the necklace realising what had happened, "Oh my God, the necklace. This is all because of the necklace, Seth only liked me because of the spell you put on this piece of junk. He doesn't like me at all, this is all just a stupid magic trick," she said adamantly.
"So what if it is just a magic trick Bayley? Isn't it better that Seth not be in control of his own will? That way, you guys can do the deed and he wouldn't be at fault. So, why even tell Sasha what's going on if it's not even real?" Stephanie said and Bayley thought long and hard about what she was doing with Seth.
"You're right, this is all just a game and none of it is real. Seth isn't cheating on Sasha, he's just under a spell. That actually makes me feel better," Bayley said. "I'd hate to think Seth would ever cheat on Sasha for real,"
"That's right Bayley, Seth's not that type of guy and doesn't that make what you're about to do with him at the pier even better?" Stephanie said and Bayley smiled to herself, her tears suddenly drying up.
"Yes Steph, it does. This necklace makes all the difference, thank God Sasha bought it for me. I bet she had no idea just how happy it was really going to make me," Bayley said and she hung up on Stephanie and looked at herself in the mirror while stroking the sapphire necklace fondly. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the luckiest newlywed of them all? After Seth and I have made love, I'll pray for forgiveness from the God Lord above,"
Bayley laughed hysterically while Rocky listened in from the bathroom. She had no idea he was back from his shopping spree and he had heard the whole disturbing conversation.
"Oh my God, I gotta tell Seth what's going on before it's too late, he could lose everything!" Rocky said and he went to find Seth and tell him that he had been bewitched by his crazy new wife and as soon as he could, he was going to destroy that necklace and make sure Stephanie and Bayley never spoke to each other ever again..
Downstairs in the lobby, Rocky saw Roman and Seth Rollins talking and he ran up to them.
"Guys-guys, I know what you're planning. Don't do it Seth, you're under an evil spell. My wife is using the necklace to destroy your marriage," Rocky said and Seth and Roman looked at him in shock.
"How did you know that?" Seth asked him.
"I overheard Bayley and Stepahnie talking, she said the necklace is controlling you. You cannot go through with this meet up Seth, you have got to go home before you do something you regret," Rocky said. "I will destroy the necklace myself,"
"No," Seth said and Rocky looked at him in shock, "I can't take anymore chances. I've already been let down with this necklace, I can't afford for this thing to stay in Bayley's possession one day longer. I have to take it from her,"
"But what if she seduces you? If Sasha finds out, you could lose your marriage and worse, you could lose custody of your son. Seth, this is too much, let me do this for you please!" Rocky said.
"Rocky, I'm not under a spell. I know exactly what I'm doing. I want Bayley to think I want her, when she drops her guard, I'll take the necklace and this whole thing will be over," Seth said and Rocky furrowed his brow.
"Wait, so you're not under a love spell?" Rocky asked Seth.
"No, I just want Bayley to think I am so I can grab the necklace. How many times do I have to explain this?" Seth asked Roman who shrugged at his cousin's naivety. "Rocky, do me a favour, just pretend you never heard Stephanie and Bayley scheming and let me and Roman handle this. This thing will be over by the end of the night. Now, if you would excuse me, Roman's going to hold my hair back while I throw up in the men's bathroom,"
Rocky watched as Seth ran to the men's bathroom with Roman and just as he said, he threw up after being up-close and personal with Bayley for way, way too long.
"Seth's out of his mind, I'll put an end to this myself tonight," Rocky said and he decided to make plans for him and Bayley so she couldn't meet up with Seth at six, plans that included a major change to their scheduled honeymoon activities that would require all of Bayley's attention.
