Chapter Twenty Two – The Baby and the Shark
Eagle Beach, Aruba
Hunter swam shivering as the school of sharks continued to circle him much to the amusement of the entire DX family who had already gone sight-seeing and eaten lunch while Hunter continued to be circled by the sharks in the water.
When Seth and Roman strolled down to the beach with Faith Star and Abiyah, Hunter's chattering teeth clenched in derision at the Shield brothers.
"You two!" he cried out as Seth and Roman headed towards the water.
"Alright guys, you can go now," Seth said to the sharks and they swam away freeing Hunter to get out of the water.
"I'm going to kill you Seth!" Hunter cried enraged, "Then Abiyah can live with his real father and I can have Sasha Banks as my live-in mistress,"
"Shut up Hunter, you had it coming," Chyna said throwing a towel over her angry husband.
Shawn came over to Hunter, "Come on, let's get you something to eat, you must be starving," he said to his best friend and business partner pulling a trembling Triple H to the beach boardwalk.
"I'm not finished with you two," Hunter said to Roman and Seth through chattering teeth. "I want you back in the US by tomorrow, or else!"
"If things go well tonight that might not be a problem," Seth said to Roman rubbing his stomach. "I'm so hungry,"
Roman gave Seth a sympathetic look, "Just wait a few more hours okay? I don't want to give you another reason to throw up, let's see what happens with Rocky first, then we can go eat some really good Caribbean food, hopefully with Sasha and Galina and the kids if they get here in time,"
"What did you just say?!" Hunter said overhearing Roman's conversation with Seth. "Did you say the Boss is on her way to Aruba with your wife and kids?!"
"I'm surprised you can hear anything with all that water in your ears," Chyna said to Hunter and the DX family continued to usher Hunter as far away from Seth and Roman as possible.
"Wow the Boss is coming with Galina, that's great we can go on a triple date!" Mac Helmsley said. "It'll make up for the last days of our honeymoon that Stephanie McMahon tried to ruin,"
Roman smiled at Seth confidently, "See, I told you Sasha coming to Aruba was a good idea. We can all have fun together," he said happily and Seth shrugged.
"I just want to get that necklace so that all this drama with Bayley can finally be over," he said and HayMac furrowed their brows.
"What has Bayley got to do with any of this?" Hayworth asked Seth. "Isn't she on her honeymoon with the Rock?"
Seth was about to explain exactly what Bayley was up to when she saw Abiyah heading towards the water.
"Abi, come back here!" Seth cried out heading towards his son but Abiyah had spotted a baby shark in the water and was trying to get closer to it.
"Abiyah get back here!" Roman called running over to the Abiyah with Seth but Abiyah got pulled into the water causing a panic amongst the tourists.
"That baby just got pulled in by the tide!" a woman cried out to the lifeguard and Seth looked at all the people heading in his direction. Once again Abiyah was causing a scene.
"Tell the people to back off," Seth said to Roman who was panicking himself.
Amid the chaos Seth waited for his son to head back in his direction, which he did, holding a little shark that had been injured and Abiyah had healed him.
"Baby shark!" Abiyah said to Seth who was looking at his son unimpressed.
"That's very cute Abiyah, now let him go," Seth said but Abiyah refused to let go of the baby shark. "Abiyah, sharks need to live in the water so you have to let him go,"
"Baby shark!" Abiyah said again and Seth doubled down.
"Abiyah, let go of the baby shark or I'm putting you to bed early," Seth said and Abiyah put the shark into the water and started to cry as he swam away.
Seth picked up his crying son while the tourists watched amazed at what they had seen.
"That little boy hwas holding a baby shark like it was a teddy bear," one of the tourists said. "I've never seen anything like it!"
Seth had seen plenty like it, Abiyah healing power was on full display and Seth couldn't wait to go back to America so his son didn't feel like a tourist attraction.
"Don't cry Abi, I know you like animals but you can't runaway from me like that. I'm your father and you have to listen to what I say, okay?" Seth said and Abi continued to reach for the shark and Seth sighed. "I gotta take him home, at least in America, I know the animals are safe. He can't tell the difference between the safe animals and the dangerous ones,"
"Can any of the animals hurt him though?" Roman asked nervously.
"I don't know, none of them have yet but I'm not about to take that chance. We've got a trip to Saudi Arabia next month," Seth said and HayMac came over to Seth and Abiyah.
"Can I hold him?" Mac said and Seth gave her Abiyah and he instantly stopped crying.
"Wow, all he needed was a woman's touch," Hayworth said smiling at his wife and Seth and Roman exchanged glances. They took Hayworth over to one side where Mac couldn't hear them.
"Mac looks real comfortable holding a baby," Seth said and Roman nodded.
"Yeah, might be time for you to extend the family by one," he said and Hayworth blushed.
"I know but, we just got married and we're still in honeymoon mode. I don't want to start the baby planning talk just yet," Hayworth said to Seth and Roman.
"Why not? You love her, you're finances are in order, what are you waiting for?" Seth asked and Hayworth didn't have an answer.
"I guess I just thought we'd get into all that stuff after a year or so, do you really think Mac and I should start planning for a baby now?" Hayworth said and Seth and Roman nodded vigorously.
"Yes sir," they said in unison and Hayworth smiled.
"I need to talk to my Dad. I didn't think we'd be having this conversation yet but I guess I have to roll with it," he said.
"What do you need to talk to Hunter about?" Seth asked Hayworth curiously.
"Dad said that when I had my first child, he would put the family business and the Sandbox in my name. The WWE and the Sandbox are my legacy," Hayworth explained and Seth's face hardened as Hayworth went to find Hunter.
"You okay?" Roman asked Seth.
"I'm fine, I wonder what's going on with BayRock. Sasha's gonna be here soon and I don't want any of this hanging over my head when she gets here," Seth replied totally changing the subject. He didn't want to tell Roman how he felt about Hayworth inheriting two of the biggest assets in the wrestling business just because he was a Helmsley. There was something Roman didn't know about the DX family legacy but that would be a conversation for another day.
"It's five so, I'm sure Rocky's about to make his move. Don't worry Seth, this will all be over in a few hours," Roman said squeezing Seth's shoulder, "then we can start to have some fun with the people we care about,"
Seth's eyes glanced over at Mac who had Abiyah in her arms looking down at him like he was the perfect child, which of course, he was to Seth and everyone else.
"Roman?" Seth said and he turned to his best friend, "Do you think Sasha and I are going to make it?"
Roman hugged Seth not bothering to answer the question because to him, it was the dumbest question he'd ever heard.
"Things always look better from the outside don't they? You see Mac holding your son and you start thinking "What if?" Don't do that to yourself Seth, all marriages go through hard times, all that matters is you keep going. You've come too far to give up now," Roman said. "Now is not the time to start having regrets,"
Seth nodded finding comfort in the Big's Dog's words and arms. "Thanks Roman, I really needed to hear that. I'm so glad you're here," Seth said. "I don't know what I'd do without you,"
After what he'd seen over the last few days, Roman was starting to wonder the same-thing and he looked at his watch and waited for the Rock to send an update on how things were going with Bayley and the necklace from Hell.
