Chapter Twenty Four – The Secret DX Transfer

Aruba Beach Club Resort

Hunter wiped his face clean with a club napkin after giving each member of the kitchen staff a nice tip for the food they prepared for the DX family. Hayworth came and sat down next to Hunter as he took a seat and relaxed while the rest of the DX family talked about BayRock and all the fans they had attracted to the resort.

"Dad we need to talk," Hayworth said as Hunter sauntered in the satisfaction of a well-cooked meal with his family.

Hunter looked at the smile spreading across his handsome son's face and a smile appeared on his own. "This could only be about Mac. She's the only person walking the planet that could make you smile like that," Hunter said and Hayworth blushed.

"You're right Dad, it is about MacKenzie. She does make me happy and I wanted you to know that you were right," Hayworth said.

"Right, about what?" Hunter asked curiously.

"Right about us wanting to start a family pretty soon," Hayworth said and he leaned forward and looked at his father seriously, "I want us to start a family this spring, so I need you to transfer my share of the DX family inheritance. That includes the Sandbox and the WWE,"

Hunter took a long sip of his water and stared out over the club at his entire family as he took in his son's request. "I hear you Hayworth and I'm not surprised," Hunter said and he leaned back in his chair and looked down at the ground. "But there's something you should know about your share of the DX family inheritance,"

Hayworth interrupted his father, "We don't have to get into the details now Dad, I just wanted to let you know where things with me and Mac were at to give you enough time to get everything sorted for us by the time our first baby is born," he said and he started to get up. "I'll leave you to digest the rest of your dinner,"

Hunter continued with his comments as Hayworth started to walk away, "There's no inheritance for you Hayworth," he said and Hayworth stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around to face his father.

"What did you say?" Hayworth said aghast and Hunter stood to his feet and came over to his son.

"There is no inheritance for you," Hunter said. "I switched the terms of the arrangement after you got married,"

"What?!" Hayworth yelled and the other members of the DX family looked over to them wondering what was going on.

Mac came over to Hayworth to find out what happened and she could see from the look on Hayworth's face that it was something bad.

"Hayworth, why are you so upset?" she asked her husband.

"This is a joke right? Ha-ha, real funny Dad," Hayworth said and Hunter shook his head.

"No son, I'm not joking. I really did change the will so that you wouldn't get any of the DX family fortune," Hunter said and he stepped closer to Hayworth, "I did it to protect you,"

"Protect me? But I'm a DX kid, that inheritance is mine, why did you change the terms of the agreement, who are you protecting me from?" Hayworth asked.

Mac's face tightened as anger bubbled up inside her, "I know why he did it Hayworth," she said through angry lips, "he did it to protect you from me. Hunter thinks I married you for your money, so he changed the will to protect the DX family fortune, isn't that right, Dad?" she said sarcastically.

Hunter nodded, "Yes Mac, I also did it to prevent my son from turning into my ex-wife. Stephanie is a spoiled, self-righteous brat who always felt like she was deserving of everything based on her last name," Hunter said and he looked at Hayworth sincerely. "I don't want that to happen to you, I want you to earn your success, just like you earned that Harvard education and you pioneered your own hot dog company. If I didn't pull the rug out from under you and take you out of your cushy trust-fund lifestyle, you would not have the financial stability that you have right now. You did that on your own Hayworth and that's the type of son I want you to be. So, do you understand why I did this?"

Hayworth nodded, "I do Dad but it still hurts. You said I could have the Sandbox so I could move into it when I had a family of my own and you said I could have the WWE so that you would make sure it was in good hands after you retired from the business. I was proud to have that as part of my legacy, now what do I have to show that I'm a member of the DX family?"

"You have your last name and that is worth more than any asset will ever give you," Hunter said. "Being a Helmsley is the greatest thing in the world and you will learn that success, wealth and power does not come easy and it is not something you take for granted son,"

Hayworth held back the tears and considered his father's words, a few moments later, he actually felt empowered by his father's decision to take away his DX inheritance. "Okay Dad, I'll prove I'm worthy of your last name. I'll stand on my own two feet, I'll look after my family and raise my child independently and I'll make you and my wife proud to be a Helmsley," he declared and Hunter smiled broadly at his son.

"That's what I want to hear," he said and he patted Hayworth on the shoulder proudly while Mac tried not to let Hunter's decision to change the family will get to her.

"Hunter can I ask you, since you decided not to leave the Sandbox and the WWE to Hayworth, who will be the recipient of those DX family assets now?" she asked Hunter curiously.

"I don't think that's important, the important thing is your husband is going to build a life for you and your first child on his own," Hunter said.

"Actually Dad, I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to that question," Hayworth said. "Which member of our family will inherit those DX assets now?"

Hunter shifted about in silence trying to steady his nerves, he clearly did not want to answer the question but he was in a corner that he couldn't get out of so he had to answer the question. "I decided to leave both the Sandbox and the WWE to Seth Rollins," he said and HayMac's faces dropped.

"You're leaving the Sandbox and the WWE to Seth?!" Hayworth yelled in disgust. "He's not even a DX family member!"

"Yes he is Hayworth, he's been like a son to me since before you were old enough to lift your first weights. Seth wasn't born into money but he's earned the respect of Shawn, myself and the entire WWE roster. If anyone deserves to have a nest egg for the rest of their lives, it is a man like Seth Rollins, a man who will do whatever it takes to get the job done. A man who would sell the clothes off his own back if it meant he could help out one of his friends or any member of the DX family," Hunter said.

"You have got to be kidding me, Seth doesn't need anything. He's got everything a man could ever want. He's got a beautiful wife, a cute baby with a Gift from God and a great career with plenty of cash to spare. Why does he deserve my portion of the DX family fortune?!" Hayworth cried. "What does Seth have that makes him more worthy of the DX family fortune than me?!"

"It's simple son," Hunter said after glancing at MacKenzie, "He has my blessing and that's something that I will never give to you, after you decided to go ahead and marry this woman when I explicitly told you not to,"

Hayworth clutched his heart and felt like a wound had opened up inside of him and he grabbed MacKenzie and ran out of the club, leaving the DX family wondering what on Earth just happened between Hunter and his firstborn son.

"Hunter, what were you two talking about?" Shawn asked Hunter while Chyna ran after her son with Amy.

"I'll explain on the way home. Let's go back to America and make sure the roster is still there," Hunter said and Shawn furrowed his brow as they left the club with the DX children wondering why Hayworth and Mac had suddenly run away.

Hayworth ran with Mac all the way to the pier with Chyna and Amy running after them.

"Hayworth, MacKenzie stop!" Amy cried out as HayMac headed for the boat that was docked by the pier. "Why are you running away, what did Hunter say to you?"

"Why don't you find Seth and ask him? After all, he's part of the family now and it's clear to me that he's the one my father really cares about," Hayworth replied with tears in his eyes.

"What are you talking about?" Chyna asked her son and Hayworth searched her eyes for the Truth.

"Oh my God," he said suddenly, "you don't even know what he did,"

Chyna looked at Amy, "Baby, get out of the boat, you're clearly upset about something let's all go back to the club house and talk about whatever's upsetting you,"

"Talk? There's nothing that man could say to me that will ever make me forgive him for what he's done to me, to us!" Hayworth said pointing at Mac and himself. "You can call him your husband Mom, but I will never call him my father again,"

Hayworth left in the boat with MacKenzie and Amy and Chyna looked at each other in complete confusion, "Let's go back to the club and find out what on Earth is going on," Amy said to Chyna but Joanie wasn't moving.

"No Amy, Hunter can come find me. I'm going after my son," Chyna said and she hopped in a boat and hurried after Hayworth and MacKenzie while Amy went back to the club house to get some answers from the DX patriarch.

Ritz-Carlton Hotel

Sasha turned to her side as the light on her cell-phone flashed brightly on the night stand in her hotel room. It was Seth and he wanted her to come to his hotel room so they could talk. The idea of having another fight with Seth gave Sasha a headache and she ignored the phone and turned her back to the nightstand and tried to go to sleep.

The hotel phone rang and Sasha decided to answer it, "Hello?" she said.

"Sasha, it's me. Can you come down to the lobby, we need to talk,"

It was Bayley.

"Okay, I'll be right down," Sasha said and she got dressed and went down to the lobby to meet Bayley and finish the thing that they started when Sasha bought the sapphire necklace.

Awhile later, Seth opened his hotel room door and saw Sasha standing in front of him.
He was surprised to see her as she hadn't answered any of his calls.

"You finally decided to see me," Seth said and he gently reached for her hand and pulled her into the room and closed the door behind her.

"I finally came to my senses," Sasha said walking over to the bed. "I realised it was stupid to keep fighting with you on this beautiful Caribbean island. I think we should start over,"

Seth smiled sweetly, "Me too," he said and he kissed Sasha on the head. Sasha wrapped her arms around Seth's neck as he kissed her gently along the neck and shoulders. She turned and saw his navy shorts slung over a chair by the window.

"Do you mind if I close the window?" she asked and Seth let her go and she went over to the window to close it. As Seth checked on Abiyah, Sasha quickly rummaged through his shorts to find the necklace. When she found it, she threw it out the window where Bayley was waiting to catch it.

When the necklace fell into her hands, Bayley gave Sasha a nod signalling her approval and Sasha blew her a kiss and said "best friends forever," before she closed the window and got into Seth's bed.

Bayley headed back to her hotel with the necklace on. "It's time to make the exchange," she said in a text to Sasha. "Are you ready to do this?"

"I'm ready, let's do this," Sasha text back and when Bayley got to her hotel room, Rocky was on the bed waiting for her.

"It's time for us to make love Bayley," he said tenderly and he walked over to his wife and pulled her in for a deep kiss. When he broke the kiss, he noticed something was different. "Your hair is blue," he said surprised. "I never noticed that before,"

Bayley nodded. "Yeah, I thought it was time for a change," she said.

Her hair colour wasn't the only thing that was different about Bayley. There was a transfer that was being made in the spirit right now that would change Seth's life forever.
