A few hours later...
Roman sits in his round wicker nest chair, messing around with his guitar. He stops playing and sits up.
Wait. It feels like I'm forgetting something.
He shrugs his shoulders.
Oh well... If I forgot then that must mean it wasn't very important.
Patton stands in the kitchen, the scent of freshly baked banana bread hangs in the air. He hums to himself, mixing a bowl of brownie batter.
He looks over to the oven to read the time on the display. 9:47 pm?! Patton couldn't believe how late it was already.
Had the other Sides eaten dinner? Patton wondered, worried about his fellow Sides.
Roman ate some pancakes that he had conjured up for himself, Logan had some leftover tomato soup, and I'm still stuffed from all the sweets I baked.
Am I forgetting anyone?

" VIRGIL!" The Moral Side said, a little too loud. How could he forget about the promise he had made to Thomas?
Virgil lays on his bed, listening to music in an attempt to block out reality. He's about to fall asleep when he's startled awake by a frantic sounding knock on his door.
"Who is it?" Virgil asks groggily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "It's me, Patton." Came to a muffled response from the fatherly figure.
Crap! What am I supposed to do?! Virgil thought, growing more anxious. He didn't know how to keep these strange outbursts at bay. But he also couldn't ignore the side waiting at the door.
But what if he finds out? What if Patton hates me for it? What if-"Can I come in Kiddo?" Patton's question cut through the Anxious side's spiraling thoughts.
Virgil stuttered back a response. "O-oh... Um...yeah, th-that's fine." He quickly ran a hand through his disheveled, grape hair and hope his dark eyeshadow wasn't smudged too badly.
He got up to answer the door, opening it just enough to peer out at his energetic friend. Patton wore a light tan shirt, pastel blue pajama pants with cookies printed on them, and fuzzy blue socks. A pair of round, wire glasses sat atop his freckled nose. Patton smiled cheerily at Virgil.
"Sorry if I woke you Kiddo, I know it's really late," Patton says sheepishly, rubbing a hand on the back of his neck. "I just wanted to check up on you, and to make sure that you're doing okay." Slightly taken aback by the Moral side, Virgil says, "Huh? M-me? I'm fine, why?"
Patton smiles warmly, "You just seemed extra stressed these last few days. I know how hard it was on you when Remus was here. I just wanted to be sure that my dark strange son was doing A-okay."
"Oh yeah, that... I'm fine Patton, I promise." Virgil says, trying to smile. He hated lying to Patton, but he didn't want to burden him with all his emotional baggage.
"Well, alright Kiddo, if you say that you're doing alright, then I believe you."
"I let you get some rest now. Night!" Patton waves, and practically skips down the hall towards his room for the night.
Virgil closes the door and lets out a breath he didn't realize that he was holding. He flops back onto his bed, curling up in his favorite dark purple blanket. Putting his headphones back over his ears and playing his favorite music, he finally manages to forget about the day's events and fall asleep.
A/N: I'm so, so sorry I haven't updated! Things have been extremely busy here lately and it's been really hard to find the time to write. I think this chapter was a little bit longer. I hope you all enjoyed! See ya in the next one!
