The next day at the BAU, Reid was the first one to arrive at the office. He set his bag down and sat down in his chair before taking out a journal and a pen. He closed his eyes for a minute before opening them again and began writing quickly.

While he was writing, he heard more of the personnel who worked at the BAU come in. As they greeted Reid, he greeted them back but didn't look at them.

He continued writing for another 30 minutes when the team walked in. When he heard JJ, Prentis, Hotch, Rossi, Morgan, and Garcia talking, he stopped writing and put his pen and journal back in his bag and took out a book and pretended like he was reading the entire time.

"Hey there Spence" JJ greeted as she put her stuff on her desk across from the young genius.

"Mm" Reid replied, not bothering to say "hi" back.

"Are you okay?" the blonde asked as she looked at the young genius closely.

"Mhm" the genius replied back, not bothering to say anything again.

"Okay then-" the blonde said as she sat down at her desk.

At this point, Reid wasn't even reading anymore. Then again, he wasn't reading in the first place. But even so, the only person he would think of right now was none other than Derek Morgan.

He couldn't stop thinking about what Morgan told Garcia the other night at the bar. He wished he never followed them to the bar.

"Guys, we have a new case," Hotch said as he walked into the briefing room.

Reid got up and pushed right past Morgan who was walking in front of him and didn't bother to say sorry.

"Hey kid," Morgan yelled a bit. "Say sorry at least."

Reid didn't say sorry and immediately walked into the briefing room.

As the team gathered at the table, Reid stood up and away from Morgan as Hotch began to speak.

"There have been 5 murders in LA" Hotch began as he clicked on the remote to show each victim. "Each victim has been raped, tied, and also been stabbed multiple times in the stomach. LAPD believes that this is the work of someone from 10 years ago who did the exact same thing."

"It seems as though the unsub doesn't care what race or ethnicity they," Prentis said as she looked at each picture.

"Each victim has red markings around their necks…" Rossi said slowly as he also looked at the photos. "They almost look like belt marks."

"LAPD wants us there soon so wheels up in five," Hotch said as he collected his things and walked out of the room.

As everyone got their things, Morgan watched Reid leave the room rather quickly so he grabbed his papers and followed him.

"Hey kid-," Morgan started to say but Reid interrupted him.

"Hey Rossi, do you think I can ask you a few questions on the plane about your newest book?" Reid asked as he grabbed his bags and caught up to Rossi.

"Uh sure-" Rossi said slowly as he raised an eyebrow as he looked at Reid then at Morgan. "But I think Morgan wanted to say something."

"I'm sure it was nothing" the young agent said as he didn't look back and started walking.

On the plane, as Reid was asking questions to Rossi, Morgan walked over to JJ and Prentiss who were playing cards.

"Hey JJ?" Morgan asked slowly.

"Yeah?" JJ replied as she looked up at Morgan.

"Do you think something is wrong with Reid?" the older agent asked as he watched Reid write down the things Rossi was saying.

"I don't think so, why?" the blonde asked as she looked back at her cards.

"He pushed past me this morning and didn't say sorry once then he cut me off while I was in the middle of talking to him" Morgan says almost sounding as if he was angry about it.

"Maybe he's having a rough morning," Prentiss said as she looked over at Reid. "He has been having those lately but I'm sure he'll be better later."

"Right…" Morgan looked over at Reid who was still writing and talking to Rossi.

As the team landed in LA, Hotch began giving assignments to each member.

"Rossi and I will go to the morgue. JJ and Prentiss you guys go to the LAPD, and Morgan and Reid can go to the crime scenes" Hotch said as he walked out of the plane.

When Morgan and Reid were the only ones in the plane, before Morgan could say anything, Reid immediately grabbed his bag and looked at Morgan for a second before looking away and walking out of the plane to the cars.

Morgan quickly caught up with Reid and slammed the door shut the minute Reid opened the car door.

"Let go of the door Derek," Reid said, avoiding eye contact from Morgan.

"Not until you tell me why you're acting weird" Morgan replied as he continued to hold the door shut.

"I don't know what you're talking about Derek" the genius said and he continued avoiding eye contact.

"Yes you do," the older agent said. "You're calling me Derek and you've been avoiding, interrupting, and pushing past me. Something is obviously bothering you. Tell me."

Avoiding what Morgan said, Reid sighed and let go of the car handle before saying, "If you're not going to let go of the door, I'll just get a ride to the crime scene."

Morgan clicked his tongue and moved his hand off the door.

"Thank you" Reid said as he opened the car door and got in.

Morgan got into the passenger seat and went on his phone to call Garcia.

"Hey baby girl," Morgan said as he rested his arm on the window.

Not wanting to listen to the conversation, Reid put on his headphones and started blasting music in his ears as he continued driving.

When they reached the crime scene, Reid got out and sped walked over to the person in charge. As he talked, Morgan walked into the house where the crime scene was and looked around.

After looking around and talking to the other investigators, they left the crime scene and walked over to the car.

"You can head over to the police station, Morgan," Redi said as he started walking away.

"Aren't you coming?" Morgan asked as he watched the young agent walk away.

When Reid didn't respond, Morgan rolled his eyes and got into the car driving to the police station.

Reid continued walking for another 5 minutes before sitting down at a nearby park. He closed his eyes and sighed quietly.

"Why do you have to be like this Derek Morgan….?" Reid said to himself. "Ignoring you is hard enough but when I'm around you, I can't avoid you even though I want to…."

When Morgan walked into the police station, JJ was the first to notice something off.

"Morgan, where's Reid?" she asked as she looked up from the files on the table.

"Oh he's being a bitch so I drove here without him" Morgan responded sounding annoyed. "He's ignoring me and avoiding me and being so fucking rude that I'm beginning to not like him anymore."

"Why is he avoiding you?" Rossi asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know and I don't care at this point anymore" Morgan replied as he sat down. "If he wants to be a bitch and continue ignoring me then he can be a bitch and continue ignoring me. I don't give a shit anymore."

At that moment, the phone rang and Hotch answered it.

"Agent Hotchner speaking" he said as he answered the phone. "Reid? Oh…. Uh, why? Oh. Okay. Sure. Take the time and think things out okay? Bye"

Hotch hung up and put the phone down.

"Who was it?" Prentiss asked, looking at Hotch.

"It was Reid," Hotch replied.

"What did he need?" JJ asked, looking at Hotch.

"He needed to think some things over and wanted to take a break from this case" Hotch replied looking at Morgan. "And Morgan, we need to talk."

Hotch walked into an office and Morgan followed closing the door behind him.

"What did you tell Reid?" Hotch asked as he looked at Morgan.

"What do you mean?" Morgan replied.

"I've noticed Reid has been ignoring you and avoiding you so what did you do?" Hotch asked, closely watching Morgan's actions.

"Nothing?" Morgan answered slowly.

"Are you sure?" Hotch said as he continued watching Morgan.

"Yeah as far as I know" Morgan replied.

Sighing quietly, Hotch nodded and dismissed Morgan.

"Why did you mention Morgan's name Reid if he hasn't said anything to you…?" Hotch thought to himself as he watched Morgan walk back to the others.
