Plagg could not believe what was happening. The moment he took away the ring of Adrien's fingers and hid behind his bed, the noises of the door opening and people running inside the bedroom were the only thing he could hear. When Gabriel got into the room, Plagg sensed something he had never felt before, as if the father of the miraculous holder finally understood his son needed him more than ever. Plagg was scared, fearing for the life of the hero of Paris. They had been in many fights, risking their lives in order to help those in need, but the worst enemy of Chat Noir was growing stronger inside his mind. Plagg could only feel guilty.

He was Adrien's kwami for god's sake!

Adrien suffers because he is still grieving his mother's death, Gabriel Agreste is definitely not father of the year, Nathalie have been sick and presenting the same symptoms as Emilie, he has to model so his father pays attention to him (at least a little); the only moment when Adrien had freedom would be when he transforms into Chat Noir, nevertheless, even there he would feel weak and like a burden, which would be the reason why he is left out by Ladybug and Rena Rouge. Plagg knew all of this, however, he never expected Adrien to do something like that. Adrien is Chat Noir, partner of Ladybug, the best owner he ever had; this kid was stronger than anyone, but still, he broke, right in front of him, and he did nothing to help.

'How could I criticize his father when I did exactly the same?' Plagg thought. The kwami of the destruction completely neglected his holder feelings, despite them being showed right on his face. Adrien was not weak, he had never been, Plagg knew this since the moment they met; in fact, he might have been a little too stubborn and a headache, yet courageous, willing to do whatever to protect the people he loved.

"Take him to the E.R., right now!" Gabriel screamed.

This surely made Plagg shiver. Adrien was found unconscious in the bathroom floor, covered in blood because he cut his wrists. He hurt himself on purpose and Plagg did nothing to stop him or to help him. Now he was hiding in one Adrien's stinky socks right under his bed, even though he knew he would have to hide the miraculous until Adrien came back. The bathroom was out of the question, since they people would come inside and clean it up and same logic applied to staying under the bed; going to Ladybug's house was out of the question, since that could put Adrien's identity at risk and Marinette might consider taking the Miraculous away given the ongoing circumstances. Plagg decided to take the ring to Adrien's school locker, which, lucky him, his owner never locked it. The moment he did not hear any kind of noise he took the miraculous and got out of the window, hoping for the child to be fine.

But before arriving to Francoise Dupont, Plagg would make a stop to talk to a dear friend.

Although there were no akumatized villains, Tikki and Marinette were extremely exhausted when they got home. The moment Ladybug detransformed, Marinette got into bed without hesitation, not even changing her clothes. 'I can always take a shower in the morning' the hero of Paris always reminds Tikki, just for the kwami to also remind her why they are always late to school. Marinette and Tikki fell asleep as fast as their heads hit their pillows, as they thought they would have an incredible and well deserved rest.

All of a sudden, Tikki heard as something was knocking the door that connected to the rooftop of the Dupain-Cheng's house. At first, she only ignored it, since it could have been the wind, but then she listened closely and realized that someone was calling her name, it was no other than Plagg. To say that Ladybug's kwami was mad does not compare to what was in Tikki's mind.

'What is this idiot thinking' Tikki thought. 'He is putting his holder at risk'

Without any kind of hesitation, Tikki flew to the rooftop, ready to scold his irresponsible partner. Apparently, the incarnation of destruction was smart enough to make the dinosaurs go extinct but he did not have some common sense to protect the guardians of Paris identity.

"Plagg, what in the actual croissant are you thinking?" Tikki asked in a notorious anger tone the moment she got to the rooftop. "Do you have any idea what kind of consecuences this could have? Should I remind you of what happened with Sandboy not so long ago?" She kept going, she was obviously mad, until she noticed something weirder than Trix's illusions.

Plagg was crying. And he had the miraculous of Chat Noir.

"Are you finished sugarcube?" Plagg asked in a tone both sarcastic and sad.

"Why do you have Adrien's miraculous? Should I wake up Mariglu?" Tikki asked. "This is going to become one big issue later on" She thought.

"I just came to talk to you, do not wake Marinette, she must be exhausted" Plagg tried to sound persuasive. "I just needed to talk to you, about something that happened after the kids returned from patrolling" He added.

"Come here, it's a little bit more comfortable" Tikki pointed to a little bunk that was next to some flowers.

They sat together and, in the last moments of the night, Plagg told her everything that had happened. How Adrien cut his wrists, how scared he was, what he had to do to get help and why he decided to hide a few hours in Francoise Dupont. Everything was an absolute disaster and Tikki could feel the guilt coming from Plagg's body.

Tikki, on her part, was left speechless after everything she heard. There was no way Adrien would do something like that; yes, his life was not easy but he seemed like a happy boy. Those thoughts started bombing her mind. It could not be possible something like that happened and she did not know what to do.

"Should I get Mariglu (remember the spell that does not let kwamis say their owner's name)? Maybe she could help, take you in for a few days?" Tikki asked with a very concerned voiced.

"No, please. The reason I came to talk is because I really needed to let this out. Marinette cannot know about this, it is too risky, especially if we want to keep our identities secret" Plagg sounded a little worried. "And because she could take away Adrien's miraculous" He thought.

"Fine, then I will try to see you at school tomorrow" Tikki took a deep breath. "And Adrien is going to be fine, he is a strong kid" she tried to console Plagg.

"Merci sugarcub, I really needed this. Please do not tell Marinette" Plagg begged. "Maybe we will see tomorrow. And just like that, the kwami of destruction took off.

Tikki stayed there, staring at the sky, contemplating the dawn, worried for the child and her friend, preoccupied for Marinette's reaction if she found out that Adrien was in the hospital and the reason behind it. This was not faire for these children, because although they were heroes, they also deserved to feel happy and accepted; they were still getting to know about themselves. But Tikki was certain that Adrien was a strong kid and that Plagg made the right call no to tell the guardian; now the only thing they could do was to wait, hoping that everything would be alright. Nevertheless, waking up in school day means watching morning shows with the latest controversies.
