Lisa was making progress every day with her therapy and recovery. She was able to use a cane after a month of therapy. During that time, Lisa had been dating King George. She didn't really like him, but she felt it was what she deserved. George wasn't very nice to Lisa. He'd complain that her back always hurt more than she did. Lisa eventually ended the relationship, but George wasn't going down without a fight. Lisa, on the other hand, decided to right a wrong. She asked Ella to help her.

A few days after breaking up with George, Lisa got out of Ella's car and made her way up the driveway to Marco's. She stopped when she was a few feet from the garage. Marco's back was turned to her. "I'm glad to see you are much better," he said without turning around.

"How did you know it was me?"

"Your perfume," Marco said.

"I need to talk to you."

"Talk," he still didn't turn around.

"Marco, please turn around and look at me."

"I'm in the middle of something, but I can hear you."

"It's been a month since I've seen or heard from you."

"I've been very busy, but a phone works two ways."

"Look, I'm sorry. I made a mistake. I knew it then and I know it now. I didn't feel that I should be with you since I was a villain."

Marco turned and looked at her, "you've finally accepted who you are now." Lisa started to walk closer to Marco. She stopped and gripped the table when she felt a pain in her back. Marco put down his work and rushed to her side. "What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself?"

"No, this just happens sometimes."

"Here," Marco guided the woman over to a rocking chair and helped her to sit.

"Thank you," she whispered.

"Where's Ella parked?"

"What makes you think she drove me?"

"I doubt you can drive and I also doubt that you walked all the way from your house."

"She's down the street."

"Call her and tell her to drive up here to pick you up."

"I can walk back."

"You can call her or I can go get her."

Lisa took out her phone and sent her daughter a message to drive up to Marco's driveway. Marco helped her get settled in Ella's car.

"How'd it go?" Ella asked.

"A lot better than I thought it would."

"I told you."

Lisa looked at her phone, "he just sent me a message about a date."

"You better go this time."

"I don't plan on making the same mistake twice." Lisa sent a message back and the two started planning for their date. She was still recovering, so going out wasn't going to be an easy thing. Wherever they have their date, they'll be happy just being together.

Two days later, Marco went to the Tremaine house to cook dinner for Lisa. The rest of the family went out before he arrived. He knocked on the door and was surprised when Lisa answered the door in her wheelchair. He eased himself in and placed the bags on the floor before kneeling in front of her, "what happened?

"I'm just very tired. I've done a lot of walking the past few days."

"You could have canceled."

"You were coming here so I didn't see any reason to."

Marco stood, "do you want me to help you onto the couch before I start cooking?"

"No, I'm fine."

Marco picked up his things and went to the kitchen. Lisa followed him, "you don't have to stay in here if you're not up to it."

"I want to."

Marco and Lisa talked and laughed all through dinner. He stayed with her until her family was home. "So," Ella said as she wheeled her mother into her room, "how was your date?"

Clorinda and Tisbe joined them. Lisa had a smile on her face, "that good, huh?" Clorinda asked.

"He's so sweet and thoughtful."

"He's one of the nicest people here," Ella said.

"Hopefully this time I don't blow it."

"Yeah, we'd really like this to work," Tisbe said.

"If for some reason it doesn't and you go back to George, we've decided that we'll have you committed," Clorinda said.

"He's the last person I want to see," Lisa said. "Oh, Marco is taking me out for breakfast in three days."

"Let me know the time and I'll help you get ready," Ella said.

The girls said goodnight to their mother once she was settled in bed. That night, for the first time in ages, Lisa fell asleep with a smile on her face.
