Chapter 15: Exposed

Arriving at school Anna couldn't help but feel confused and even a little worried.

'What on earth is-?' She wondered as she bit her lip.

Walking down one corridor, she was aware of the eyes upon her. So many people watching her and whispering. Anna didn't like this, something was definitely not right here.

She shook her head. 'Urgh, what is this? What are they doing, why are they-?'

She soon got her answer when one of the girls who was whispering approached her. She had a rather unsettling look on her face.

"Wow Bowen, I never imagined you'd be so...slutty." She remarked, derision dripping from every syllable.

Anna started at that, blinking rapidly. "Huh, what-?"

The girl scoffed. "Oh please, don't act so innocent."

Others laughed and also scoffed and began making similar comments to her. Anna was shocked and dismayed by this, becoming overwhelmed by the harsh taunting.

"What did I even do?" She cried out. "How can you, I'm not a-"

"Stop lying, everyone's seen it." The first girl remarked.

Still horrified Anna also couldn't help but be confused and that was making her get even more worked up. Grimacing she managed to finally get away, still confused as to what they were talking about.

As she managed to slip out of the corridor and into the main lobby, Anna couldn't help but wonder just what had led to this, the change of her classmates had been so sudden.

She shook, trying to wrap her head around things. ' I don't get it, this isn't, why would they act so cruel. I've not done anything and...wait, no...NO!'

Her eyes widened and shock turned to horror as she saw the noticeboard and realized what had happened.

"No." She choked out, eyes beginning to cloud with tears.

For despite her thoughts, she found she had been mistaken about Tonya. She was not all bark, she had indeed followed through on her threats. There was no doubt about it; Tonya was behind this. To get revenge on Anna for daring to break up with her, she had produced copies of Anna's nude selfies to her and posted them on the noticeboard, and most likely around the school too for everyone to see.

"Oh my, what do we have here, hmmm?" The biting voice cut through Anna like a knife.

She turned to see Tonya standing there, smirking at her darkly.

"T-Tonya, you-"

Tonya snarled. "Don't even start bitch, you know full well you deserve this, you brought this on yourself. I am your girlfriend and you had no right to try and break up with me. You had no reason to break up with me."

"This is exactly the reason, look at how you are treated me, I-" Anna protested.

"I'm treating you as you deserve." Tonya snarled. "You dare to think you could break up with me, after I gave you everything, to even let you date someone as perfect as me. This is your reward for daring to defy me."

Anna began to Tremble. "But, but I, they...everybody…"

"Aww, now everybody knows what a worthless slutty piece of trash you are, flaunting your body like that." Tonya scoffed. "How about that; guess you're now just gonna have to live with it; as if anyone wants you to."

The words were too much for Anna, unable to take anymore, with everything piling up on top of her, Anna turned and ran, tears already spilling and Tonya's haunting laughter echoing in her ears.

Realizing right away who was responsible and why, Sophia led the way, the boys right behind her as they attempted to find Anna. But hearing the cruel laughter they discovered they were too late.

"Shit, shit…" Sophia muttered.

She hurried onwards, Carl and Mikey hurrying after her.

"Sophia, wait." Carl tried to get her attention.

But she was too busy glaring at the smug looking Tonya, Carl and Mikey were angry and sickened by what Sophia had revealed. The spreading of the pictures was beyond disgusting and it was clear Sophia was even more enraged than they were.

"Hey bitch." Sophia snapped.

Tonya turned, eyes wide with anger, then widened upon seeing Sophia.

"What, Sophia, what are you-?"

"Don't play dumb, Tonya." Sophia snarled. "I can't believe you'd be so monstrous as to do this to Anna."

Tonya blinked. "What, Anna, Sophia, this isn't-"

"This is my business when you mess with someone I care about!" Sophia snapped. "You needlessly hurt her, just to satisfy your ego, that is beyond disgraceful."

Tonya grimaced, realizing that they were drawing a crowd, a crowd that had seen the photos already.

"Sophia, I really don't think we-"

She never got finished for at that moment, Sophia lashed out, slugging Tonya across the face and knocking her to the ground.

"That's what you deserve for what you did!" Sophia yelled as Carl and Mikey tried to hold her back. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself for acting like this. You ALL should be ashamed for being such idiots. I wonder how'd you'd like it if it was one of you!"

Her words were like a ripple, looks of concern, horror and anxious glances spread through the watching students while Tonya struggled to get back to her feet, clutching at her face.

Sophia shook her head, she had more important stuff to think about. So, pulling herself out of Carl and Mikey's grasp she left them behind, and Tonya, and hurried in the direction she had seen Anna going. She soon found herself in the girls bathroom.

"Anna." She called out, getting no reply. "Anna?"

She was getting worried as she approached the only closed stall and, noting it wasn't locked, pushed it open.

"ANNA!"

For Anna was lying there, pale as death, with her wrists slashed.
