Chapter 2
~~~a bit earlier
:Optimus, what are we going to do?: Ratchet commed over to his leader.
The two girls were in the room with them, having been startled when the youngest had jumped up onto his hood.
:Don't transform. Any of you.: Optimus said back. :We mustn't reveal ourselves yet.:
They waited, watching as the humans interacted. Optimus could tell that Epps and Lennox were getting annoyed by them. He watched carefully as the two soldiers left, leaving them alone with the troublesome humans that he wanted brought to him. They weren't what he was expecting.
Ratchet tensed a bit as the youngest was back over to him. He nearly jumped and transformed when her squishy and moist human glossa swiped his hood.
:Optimus!: Ratchet complained. :Please, can we do something? She licked me! She fragging licked me!:
:Patience Ratchet.: Optimus reminded. He repressed a shudder when the oldest femme traced his flames. She wanted them to transform and talk.
:How do they even know about us?: Sideswipe asked.
:I don't know.: said Optimus, surprised when the oldest had leaned forward and kissed him.
He transformed after the human stepped back to give him some room. Anika squeaked a bit when the Hummer transformed second, followed by the others. She went back to her sister, gulping a bit at the scolding glare the medic gave, a wrench in his servo. Optimus knelt down to one knee, getting closer to the two.
"How do you know of our existence?" Optimus demanded.
"That is a very long story," said Jessica.
"True that," Anika agreed. "I'm Anika, and this is my soul sister and best friend Jessica. No need to tell us who you are since we already know."
"Look, we agreed to go with Lennox and Epps cause of something very important," said Jessica, then explaining their realm and how they watched a movie and ended up here. "I think we were sent here to help you. Sentinel is evil. He has teamed up with Megatron to get you. They will try to make the government think you are evil and send you away. You can't trust Sentinel."
"He even killed Ironhide with cosmic rust," Anika added in.
The Autobots were surprised by this. They hadn't heard from Sentinel in many years. His ship had gone down while transporting the space bridge, which would have won them the war. He was killed.
"Hate to break it to you, humans, but Sentinel is dead," said Sideswipe.
"His ship was shot down by Decepticons," said Ratchet. "There is no way he could have survived."
"You have to believe us," Jessica said. "Please, Optimus. Sentinel is still alive, on the dark side of Earth's moon. He was discovered by the first men on the moon. They kept it secret. Just ask Mearing about it."
"And how do we know you are even telling the truth?" Optimus asked, feeling slightly annoyed by these humans.
"Well, for one, Megatron killed you after he abducted Sam and took him to some old power plant and got information about the Cybertronian glyphs. Then he went with Jetfire to Egypt to get the Matrix of Leadership and bring you back," Anika said with a matter-of-the-fact tone. "That happened in the second movie from where we are from. Now do you believe us?"
Optimus looked to his soldiers, thinking over what they had said and told him. Should he believe them? What if they were lying? But there was a chance they spoke the truth. They did know about his death and revival.
Optimus frowned, mostly because Lennox told him about the burning of the handcuffs, and the unflattering stories written about him and Ratchet.
"Then answer me this why do you two hide secrets such as burning of handcuffs and writing stories that are unflattering about us?" Optimus demanded.
Jessica glanced away then.
"I was the one who did that," Jessica answered the leader as his azure optics went to her.
He glared at her.
"Show me, now!" Optimus ordered as her mouth opened in shock.
Jessica knew she wasn't allowed to tell others about what she was. Anika was the only one who knew, as she bit her bottom lip and glanced at Anika.
"I can't," Jessica whispered as Optimus glared at her.
"You are making it very hard to trust you both," Optimus remarked.
Jessica glanced up at him.
"We told you about what already happened, Jeez, don't be thick," Anika said as Ratchet almost blew a gasket then.
"You will both show our leader respect, is that clear?" Ratchet snapped as Jessica and Anika both jumped.
"I can't tell you, Optimus, please," Jessica said.
"They should be put in the brig," Ironhide growled.
"And, what about those?" Optimus snapped as Jessica glanced over to where he pointed.
Jessica frowned then walked over to the giant piles of papers, she picked them up and found out they were her stories!
"Where did you get these?" Jessica asked as Optimus narrowed his optics.
"So, you are not going to deny them?" he demanded of her.
"No, why would I?" she asked. "I wrote them." Jessica said truthfully.
"You wrote them?" both Ratchet and Optimus demanded as she lifted an eyebrow.
"Yes, I did," Jessica said as Anika smirked.
"How do you know about interfacing?" Ratchet demanded as Optimus looked at Ratchet than at Jessica.
But Optimus wanted to know exactly how this human knew about his past with the Council.
"You will tell me what I want to know, do I make myself clear? You will never leave this base until I feel you are not a threat," Optimus remarked.
"God, you may be hot but you are the most stubborn being I ever met!" Jessica yelled stunning Optimus.
"Hey, whoa, sis, chill," Anika said, going up to her sister and grabbing both arms. She lowered her voice, not that it mattered to the bots since they could hear her anyways. "I think we should tell them."
"Sis, you know I can't," said Jessica. "I can't tell my secret."
"If we want to help save them, then we will have to. We have to trust them so they can trust us," Anika said.
Jessica wasn't sure. She looked down at the papers of her stories. She and Anika had both seen what she had written. They both had special gifts, but they weren't supposed to say because it could endanger whoever they told. But they did need the Autobots to trust them. She looked to the Autobots, and then back to her stories.
"I'll go first to make it easier," said Anika, turning to the giant mechs. "I am a healer. Both my sister and I have powers. Mine just specialize in mental and physical healing."
"How is that even possible?" Ratchet asked.
"Well, I can show you if you have anyone injured," said Anika.
"We do. 'Hide, Sides, help me get them," Ratchet said, wanting to see for himself. If this one was telling the truth, then maybe the other would tell as well.
"Sis, what are you doing?" Jessica asked.
"Trust me," said Anika.
:Ratchet, what are you up to?: Optimus commed his medic, optics never leaving the two girls.
:Seeing if they are telling the truth or not. I doubt the one saying she is a healer can do it.: Ratchet commed back. :It won't take me long Optimus. I'll return soon.:
They waited for a small bit before Ratchet returned with the other two, four gurneys being wheeled in with some medical equipment attached. Anika looked at them, surprised but not at the same time. She should have expected this. Jessica gasped, a hand going to her mouth at seeing their conditions.
"I thought they had died," said Anika.
"Same. Maybe they somehow held on," Jessica suggested.
"Well, I'll give it a try," said Anika.
"Wait," Jessica said, grabbing her sister's hand. Anika looked back to her. "You know what happens if you use your healing too much. You have to be careful. Our mentor warned us about using them too much."
"I know what he said sis. But we have to gain their trust," said Anika. She turned to Ironhide, who stood next to who she knew as Chromia. "I'm ready. Wanna give me a lift?"
Ironhide hesitated, but reached down and picked her up, setting her down next to the blue femme. Anika looked at the damage. She grinned, knowing it should be easy enough. She hoped at least. Anika placed a hand on Chromia, closing her eyes and concentrating. A soft blue light left her and encased Chromia.
Ironhide waited anxiously. He secretly hoped that this worked. When the blue glow faded, Anika looked to see the damage all fixed. She smiled, seeing Chromia's optics online. The blue femme sat up, looking around.
"'Mia?" Ironhide asked. "Chromia!"
The femme was surprised when Ironhide pulled her into a close hug, kissing her. When they separated, Chromia smiled at her mate.
"Well, hello to you too sexy mech," Chromia said. "But how?"
"Hello, me is how," said Anika. "Now for the others."
Anika jumped to the next one, Arcee. She did the same before moving onto Elita-One and then finally Jazz. Ratchet, Optimus, and the other remaining Autobots were absolutely stunned silent. Anika panted, feeling drained, but she managed to climb down and back to her sister.
"You okay?" Jessica asked.
"Yeah. Just fine," said Anika with a smile. She looked back to Optimus. "Is this enough proof?"
"Yes, but that still does not explain your sister," said Optimus. "I want to know how she knows this information in the stories and what she is as well."
"I'm a slayer," said Jessica finally and quickly. "I can fight and I destroy demons and evil. I can have visions and that's how I know. We just thought you were fiction, so saw no damage, okay? Cause until today, you were fiction to us. I just decided to put it in my stories. Happy now?"
Jessica stormed away from them. Anika stared after her sister. She understood her fear. She looked up at Optimus.
"Ya know, she's got a major crush on you. You're her hero. Might want to show her some kindness," said Anika. "She would do anything for you Optimus. Let her cool down right now. I want to know if you will trust us now."
Optimus didn't know what to say. He was stunned into silence. He looked over to his troops, needing to make sure they were safe. They were more than just his soldiers in this war. They were his family.
"I'll let you think it over," said Anika, going off to her sister, who had gone outside.
Jessica was outside and tears had hit her hard. She was annoyed. She knew it was important to convince Optimus but he was so stubborn and didn't seem to believe them anyway.
And, if that was the case they broke the number one rule that her trainer had taught her. And, if Anika knew the truth of what would happen if the wrong people knew about her slayer powers. She was a bit annoyed with Anika as well, because she was quick to reveal what she knew she shouldn't.
She sensed Anika next to her then.
"Hey, I know that you're…" Anika started to say until Jessica snapped back at her.
"Let me tell you something we could have convinced them without telling them. You were told, and yet you blab our secrets to the first one who wants to know!" Jessica yelled.
"Sis, I just…." Anika tried to say.
"No, I don't want your excuses, Anika, he doesn't believe us it is very clear," Jessica snapped. "Just leave me alone for a while," Jessica ordered as Anika felt sad then.
She didn't mean to hurt her sister. She started to turn away and go back inside when she saw her sister walk further outside. Jessica's eyes lit up glowing a bright blue, and realized something was going on.
Anika started to walk toward her sister when she froze in fear as she saw a very dangerous and deadly demon known as the beast pulling apart the guards in the front of the base.
She heard the base alarm, and she knew Lennox and Epps would be called. She ran back inside just as Lennox, Epps were walking in with Mearing and her assistant.
"Lennox, keep your men out of the fight," Anika said.
"It could be Decepticons," Graham said.
"It's not trust me, only Jessica can handle it," Anika said as Lennox narrowed his eyes but flipped the camera switches and they all watched the older sister fighting the beast.
Jessica was graceful in battle but deadly.
"You will not stop the future from happening, he will rise and Optimus Prime will fall," the beast snarled as Jessica closed her eyes and when they opened they glowed bright blue her hands glowing bright red.
"You seriously talk too much," Jessica snapped as she used her sword and beheaded the beast.
Jessica looked at the men on the ground and her heart went out to them and their families. She hated death. She hated anything evil. Then she thought about what the beast said he will rise and Optimus would fall?
Her mind went to the movies. The Age of Extinction with Lockdown going after Optimus and who put the bounty on him. Then in The Last Knight Quintessa made it appear like she was trying to prevent Unicron from waking, but what if she was doing the opposite what if she was waking him instead?
And, she needed Optimus out of the way in order to do it, but then she remembered how quickly the humans betrayed Optimus and hunted him and his Autobots. What if they were brought here for another reason? What if they were supposed to be brought to their own realm?
She had remembered by The Last Knight even Lennox and General Morshower were against the Autobots allowing Megatron to hunt them down as well. But for the beast to be involved someone who was human had to be controlling him but the question was who and why?
Jessica came back inside, looking a bit tired. Before she had gotten back inside, she had a vision showing human betrayal from the government and Cemetery Wind. But they were hunting for more than just the Autobots. They were after the Decepticons as well. Upon entering the hanger, she didn't like the looks Mearing was giving the Autobots that had been injured and were now healed up.
"What the hell was that?" Mearing demanded of Jessica. "And who let you two in?"
"That would be me," said Lennox. "Optimus wanted to question them."
"Well, now we have soldiers dead," said Mearing. "Now I have more work to explain this to the president and those soldiers' families. I want them out of here by the end of the week."
"Yes Ma'am," said Lennox.
"Enough with the Ma'am already," Mearing said, storming out of the room.
Jessica looked down, feeling the burning words of Mearing. She was accusing her and Anika for the soldiers who had died from the beast. Anika decided to try to lighten the mood up a bit for her sister.
"Whew, judging by the heat from Mearing, I would say I'm dining with the Phoenix now," said Anika, waving a hand as if to cool herself.
She stopped and looked at Jessica.
It took a bit for Jessica to process the joke before she started to laugh. Jessica shook her head at her little sister, grinning.
"Got you to laugh," said Anika.
"Yes, you did," said Jessica. "But we got more serious problems now sis."
"Like what?" Anika asked.
"Well, Sentinel will be brought here. No stopping that. But we have to get them and us out of here," said Jessica. "You remember Cemetery Wind and the human betrayal, right? Well, they'll betray them sooner. If we don't get them out of here now, some of them will die, including Ratchet."
"No! Not my medic," Anika said. "What do we do sis?"
"Cade Yeager will help us. He knows what has gone on and knows the Autobots are good. And we have to get the Decepticons," said Jessica.
"Yeah, and how will we convince the Decepticons? Megatron will kill us the moment he sees you," said Anika.
"Oh, I won't be the one to do that," said Jessica.
"Then who?" Anika questioned. Jessica grinned at her sister.
"You will," said Jessica.
"Awe, why me?" Anika whined.
"Cause, payback is a bitch. You let me sleep on the couch," said Jessica.
"I said I was sorry about that," said Anika.
"You're still doing it. You got a way of convincing him," said Jessica.
"Oh. That. Okay," said Anika.
Jessica nodded, knowing her sister could convince the Decepticon leader to join forces with the Autobots. She turned back to look at each Autobot, heart clenching at the idea of any of them dying. She had to get them away from here somehow. She walked up to Optimus, hoping he would listen.
"Optimus, the government is going to betray you really soon. Anika will get Megatron and the other Decepticons to join us. But please, before any of your troops die, we have to leave and now," said Jessica. "Sentinel will partner up with the humans, and later Lockdown will when Sentinel fails and gets killed. I can't explain too much since we are pressed for time, but we must go."
"The humans are our allies. They have been since we arrived here," said Optimus.
"Well, they changed. Even Sam, Mikaela, and Carly despise you guys. I saw how they were looking at the Arcee triplets and Jazz. They were disgusted and wanted them to remain injured so they could be killed. They know your biology. They can easily take you out," said Jessica. "Please Optimus. I have seen the future. You stay here, any of you stay here, you will end up dead and melted down for spare parts."
"We have no way off this planet. The humans disabled and dismantled the Xanthium," said Leadfoot.
"Plus, Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs are still on their way here," said Sideswipe. "Not to mention Wheelie and Brains are with Sam and Carly."
"I'll take care of Wheelie and Brains. Is there a safe location you know of Optimus?" Jessica asked.
"Yes," said Optimus.
"Then go there now. Make sure the humans don't know. We'll meet you there," said Jessica. Optimus hesitated. "Trust me. Before it is too late to save yourself and your family."
"Very well then," said Optimus.
"Let's go then sis," said Anika, going back to the vehicle Lennox and Epps took them in. "Heh, idiots. They left the keys on the dash."
Jessica and Anika got in, the youngest driving to where Sam and Carly lived. Jessica hopped out, just going in. Anika could hear some shouting before Jessica returned with the two minibots in her arms and Sam chasing her.
"Hop in," said Jessica.
"You can't just do this!" Sam protested.
"Yes, I can and I just did. Unlike you, we care about the Autobots Sam. I know you hate them. So does Carly and Mikaela," said Jessica, getting in. "Drive sis."
Anika pulled out, driving away and leaving Sam in the dust, literally. Anika looked over to her sister before glancing at the confused and slightly frightened minibots.
"Where to next?" Anika asked.
"The Decepticons to get Megatron's ass," said Jessica.
"Okay," said Anika.
The Decepticon base….
Barricade saw the vehicle and scanned it two human femmes along with the two minibots Wheelie and Brains.
::::... Lord Megatron we have visitors….:::::::
::::::... Autobots…::::::
Barricade told him who it was and for some reason Megatron was intrigued, and decided to allow them safe passage into their base. Anika stopped the vehicle when Barricade transformed and watched as they went into the base. They all got out of the vehicle along with the minibots who seemed a little leery of the two girls.
"Hey, why did ya take us away from Sam and Carly?" Wheelie asked.
"Because we did you a favor humans are going to start hunting Autobots and Decepticons," Jessica said as she knelt by them and pulled them both in for a hug. "We aren't going to hurt you, any of you," Jessica added as she glanced at Megatron.
Anika explained what was going on and who they were to the warlord, and then she did a peace offering Starscream picked her up and placed her into Megatron's claw.
When she was close enough she put her hands onto his faceplates.
"Alright, hold still," she said as she closed her eyes and allowed the glow to start it's healing power.
The others watched in wonder as Megatron's body was completely changed, not just his face. He resembled the Megatron from The Last Knight, and as Anika finished healing him. She collapsed in his claw. Megatron looked startled then.
"What is wrong with her?" Megatron asked Jessica.
"Sometimes if we overuse our powers, it can drain us," Jessica said as she watched how Megatron watched her sister.
She couldn't help but smirk then.
"We have to get to the hiding spot where your brother is now, Megatron, it's important for this now," Jessica said.
He nodded.
"Alright," Megatron said. "We join with my brother now, and let this war be ended," Megatron said.
~~~With the Autobots
Optimus waited for the two humans. He had hoped that they would be able to get his brother and his Decepticons to join them. Despite Megatron letting evil take him over, Optimus was missing his brother. Megatron was important to him. Had been since back on Cybertron before he let the Fallen's influence take over.
Optimus shook his helm. He didn't want to remember those right now. He looked to his family, wanting to keep them safe. He couldn't lose any of his family. He had lost so much already. He only had Ironhide, Chromia, and Ratchet before Bumblebee was added into the mix and he adopted the scout. And naturally Megatron. But then his world crashed when the Fallen was added into the mix.
The sound of engines alerted them. Optimus could see the two human femmes with the Decepticons following. When they arrived, Optimus couldn't see the vehicle they had stolen. Jessica got out of Barricade with the minis before helping Anika out of Megatron, her sister still weak from her healing.
"Where is the vehicle?" Optimus asked.
"Gone. Starscream disposed of it so that those fleshlings cannot track us," said Megatron. "It is good to see you once more brother."
"The same to you," said Optimus. He was surprised when Megatron pulled him into a hug.
"The youngest explained the situation before healing me," said Megatron. "Sentinel is dead the moment I see him. I thought I had killed him long ago, but it would appear not. I won't let him touch you."
"Thank you, Megatron," said Optimus. "Now we must wait for Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs. They will be here later on tonight. Once they come, we will get ready to move out."
"Sounds good," said Megatron.
~~~NEST Base
"So they left," said Mearing.
"It would appear so. Those two girls must have said something to them," said Lennox.
"Too bad," said Epps.
"That won't matter. I will be able to find them."
The three humans looked up to the large mech that had come to them.
"And how will you do that, Sentinel?" asked Mearing.
"I have my ways," said Sentinel. He would wait to find them before going after them.
~~~with Autobots
With the arrival of the last three, they were all set. Optimus had decided to remain there for the night since Anika needed to recover. Jessica had seen him away from the others, staring up at the night sky. She wanted to say something to him, to help him. Something was bothering him. She could feel it.
Jessica followed him then.
"Optimus?" Jessica said as he glanced down at her.
The Autobot commander wanted to talk to her but she had a tendency to be snarky toward him.
"I'm sorry for how I acted toward you before," she said as the leader knelt by her sitting on the ground reaching for her.
Silence hit Optimus while he held her.
"I….I saw things in visions I didn't understand then but now I do, you were hurt badly on Cybertron, weren't you?" she asked as he sighed.
"Yes, I was told I wasn't good enough…. Then I was brutally raped by the Council and Sentinel Prime, the ones who governed our planet," He explained.
She touched his faceplates, and the touched startled Optimus to the point he didn't understand why his spark was reacting like it was. He had never been intimate on his own accord before none of the femmes wanted him on Cybertron.
He wanted to be happy. His brother was always popular with the femmes, but not him. He was never liked.
"I…..I never was liked by the femmes, it was because of the Council they told what they did to me. They called me an…." he started to say until she answered for him with tears in her eyes.
"An abomination," she whispered.
He looked at her making a sad keening sound while fluid gathered in his optics.
"Yes, and they also said I was worthless nothing but a drone," he said.
She reached up and kissed him causing him not to understand what to do, but she kept up on him making the Autobot commander want and crave more from her.
But would she truly love him, would he truly be happy after all these years of pain?
