Happy New Year, hope you are ok. Please leave a review!

Sam watched Jack make his way to the table she was sitting at. There were many items on his tray. "Both ice-cream and Jell-O?" She chuckled as he put the tray down in front of her. "You're spoiling me!"

"You better get used to it." Jack sat down, moving the chair closer to Sam, so he could put his arm around her shoulders. He pressed a light kiss on the top of her head. "What we don't eat we can take with us."

Sam grabbed a spoon and the chocolate/vanilla ice-cream with sprinkles and leaned into Jack's embrace. She moaned with appreciation after the first taste. "That's good." Then she noticed Jack was just staring at her. "What did you get for yourself?"

"I'm fine." He smiled, tugging a rogue lock of her long blonde hair behind her ear. It must have tickled, because she made that cute little noise she always does.

"Come on, pick something. It's really good." Sam encouraged him, taking another spoonful of ice-cream. It was nice sitting so close to him, just enjoying the warmth of his arms. "Please."

"Alright. I'll take this little thing." He moved to grab it and the other fork, so she found herself enveloped in this scent. She could stay like this forever, but they really needed Janet to perform an examination on the baby.

Sinking even further into the chair, she pressed herself into his body. "What, the free sample?"

"It's not a free sample, I just liked the box. And it is ice-cream, so it cannot really be bad, can it?" He laughed, pressing his lips to hers.

"Hmmm…Strawberry."

"You're very sweet yourself, you know?" Jack offered, planting another kiss on her cheek. "Sam…" Suddenly his face got serious. "We'll be alright. Everything will be alright."

Another beaming smile appeared on her face. He loved those. Making her smile was so much better when he could act on his feelings, hold her, and kiss her and other things. When her smiles were all he could get, he thought they were so bright and special to him because he couldn't get closer to her. But they weren't any less bright or special now when he could trace her lips with his finger and then kiss her until they were both gasping for breath.

And now there was going to be a baby Carter, all cute and little and smart.

"Jack? Do you hear me?" She playfully hit his shoulder.

"Sorry, what?"

"What are you thinking about?" She smiled, eating the last mouthful of her ice-cream.

"Nothin'." He said in that playful tone of his, putting his ice-cream down and hugging her from the side. "I love you both." He whispered into her ear.

"Love you too." She fidgeted a little in his embrace, trying to get comfortable in that little metal chair.

"Do you want to go?" He asked, as if he was reading her mind.

"After you finish your mini ice-cream. Yes."

"Well, you can help me, you know…" He brought the plastic box closer to her and watched her looking for her spoon. "You can use mine, here." With that he scooped up a big portion of the strawberry ice-cream and directed it to her mouth.

"Mmmm. You have good taste." She purred, enjoying the momentary peace. She knew after they left here, there'd be a lot of tests and meetings. They'd have to come up with the plan how to handle the pregnancy, and that was assuming Janet's tests wouldn't reveal anything worth worrying about.

"Of course I do. I chose you." He whispered again, his warm breath tickling her ear.

She let out a soft giggle, trying to push her worries aside.

"Wanna go now, then?" He asked here, noting his ice-cream was already gone.

She nodded, reaching for her coat while Jack packed all the leftovers in a paper bag with the shop's logo on it.

"You all warm and comfortable?" He asked her, frowning at how silent she was. He could tell she was worried, he just wasn't sure about what exactly. Yeah, this was a new situation and they were going to have to deal with it and that was somewhat scary, but he hoped she knew he'd be there for her no matter what. "Sam?"

She looked up at him with those beautiful blue eyes that always made his heart melt embarrassingly short time after their first meeting. He still couldn't understand she wanted to be with him for real. He was so lucky.

"I'm fine." She said, in a tone that showed she definitely wasn't, but didn't want to talk about it and walked out of the shop.

He sighed and shook his head and then followed her.
