"Why does Mom always buy you flowers?" A little Sasuke asked as he looked up and down the fresh batch, Mikoto had just brought.
"Isn't that for new couples only? Besides I thought the man is supposed to buy the women flowers?" Now being 6 years old Sasuke's curiosity grew and grew and with that, more and unusual questions came tumbling out.
They were used to it after Itachi.
A rare and small smile formed on Fugaku's lips. "Each couple is different Sasuke, besides I like them. It takes me back to our first date."
Sasuke nodded feeling satisfied with the answer. It was rare for his father to talk about his feelings, especially about his mother. He could tell how much his father loved his mother with the look on his face.
"Besides, being a ninja you never know how much time you have with your loved ones. You should make the most of it while you can."
Again, the young boy nodded heeding his words. He wanted to be a ninja too but knew it would come with consequences.
I hope I can find someone like mom.
"Mama's always buying you flowers when you come back. What are you two? Newlyweds?" Sarada giggled in a teasing tone.
"Ah, well it's not like we had time to be a normal couple." Sasuke's eyes soften as he looked at the flowers Sakura had personally picked out. If he recalled, those were the same type of flowers he'd given her on their first date.
"Besides I like them."
"Hmm? Never really pegged you as that type of guy."
"Enough with the teasing Sarada."
"I'm not teasing, just merely making an observation." She shrugged giggling running away.
Sasuke sighed, she definitely took after him.
Based on the manga where Sakura went to Ino's flower shop to get flowers for Sasuke. I think it's so cute and I'm sure Mikoto did the same.
