"What about my family?" Roman asked later, when they were sitting on his bed. Roman's parents were extremely sexist and wouldn't let him take art, music, or dance classes or watch Disney movies because they were 'girly'. They definitely wouldn't approve of him marrying a man.
"They don't need to know if they won't accept you, Baby." Virgil told him.
"You sound too much like your dad." Roman said.
"We aren't talking about Patton right now." Virgil replied.
"Does he even know?" Roman asked.
"Not yet," Virgil said, "The only one who knows is your brother."
"Remus?"
"Yeah, and he offered to walk you down the aisle."
"Are we talking about the same person?"
"I don't know," Virgil said.
"Should we tell your dads?" Roman asked him.
"Sure, let's go."
