One week after the floors are buffed, Mulan decides to paint the walls Pearl River. She puts her headphones on and listens to Rachel Platten on repeat. The night is swallowed by paint fumes and too many glasses of wine.
The following day she makes a lasagne with corn chips instead of pasta and eats it while watching Debra Messing attempting to seduce Dermot Mulroney.
Su Sun sends Mulan a text, asking if she's looking after herself.
Tasunka sends his Netflix recommendations.
Delun Ling sends updates on two of her patients.
Shang Li sends a video message of his six-year-old niece. She's got Shang's pink stethoscope and she's checking the vitals of her gigantic plush unicorn. The video must have been filmed by someone else, because Shang is kneeling to the side of little Vivian Gwok, defib at the ready.
On Tuesday, Mulan goes to work with paint still in her hair.
