'When did you last sleep?' asks Mulan. 'Shang, you need to get some rest.'

His hands fold over hers, holding her palms hostage against his face.

'I was going to ask you something,' he says. 'You made me forget.'

His eyes are so intent on Mulan's face, roving from her eyes to her lips.

'Get some sleep in your consultation room, okay?'

Her thumb rubs his cheek lightly and Shang can't help but kiss that perfect, clever thumb.

'Take him up to Cardio,' says Su. 'But I need you back here to assess my drive-by once you've got him tucked in.'
