Mulan's trying to get her suitcase down from the top of the wardrobe when something small and blue flies off the shelf. It smacks her in the face before tumbling to the floor. The suitcase smacks her in the chest a moment later, but it's ignored in favor of the small blue box.

There's a stampede of wildebeest in her chest. It's about the right size, Mulan thinks. It's the right size for a ring.

Unable to stop herself, she flicks the box open.

It's gorgeous and intricate and delicate and she knows her answer. She knows exactly what she'll say to the man who offers her this ring.
