Harvey Yao swings a fist at Mulan when she opens the door. Somehow, he stops the punch before it lands.

'Where the hell did you come from?'

'Rehab,' says Mulan. She's reaching for the lock on the door.

'You know there's a psycho out there with a gun,' says Harvey.

'I need to know.'

It's so quiet Harvey almost doesn't hear it.

'I think it's Shan,' says Mulan. 'I have this horrible feeling in my gut.'

'Okay,' Harvey nods. 'When you're ready, Captain.'

Mulan flicks the lock, steels herself, and pushes the door open.

She's talked Shan down before, she tells herself. If it's him, she can do it again.
