74. Handsome

'I like the black,' says Mulan. She's smoothing the lapels and pulling Shang's mouth to hers. 'But it's not about me. Do you like it?'

Shang looks conflicted as he looks at his reflection. He knows his parents expect red. He knows they expect traditional. Mulan said she's never thought too much about getting married, and she can wear red or white, whatever works with Shang's suit.

He's tried three red suits and hated every one of them. Tasunka suggested Vera Wang, and Shang really likes the all black tux.

'Can we try the red waistcoat?' Mulan asks the attendant. 'With the red bowtie and red pocket square?'

'No,' says Shang. 'Just the red pocket square.'

The way Mulan smiles at him tells him everything he needs to know. She likes the all black just as much as him.
