Summary: Everyone has a tradition, and with Sasuke and Sakura it was the festivals.

"I can't wait to see our little baby, Mikoto rubbed her stomach. There wasn't a bump as they only found out about her pregnancy recently and excitedly told their son a couple of days ago that he was going to be an older brother. Itachi watched closely, still not understanding how a baby could be in his mother's stomach.

Did she eat it? His father wouldn't say anything.

"We should get going now, don't want to be late for the festival."

"Sure honey," she smiled grabbing hold of Itachi's hand. "Let's go, sweetie."

"Congratulations," the young Uchiha couple had bumped into the Harunos. Mebuki and Mikoto had gone to the same school together.

They weren't friends, just old classmates but it's nice to bump into familiar faces. Especially when they had something in common.

"Thank you! I'm kind of nervous, especially with him as the father." Pointing towards Kizashi.

"Aww, you don't mean that. I would be a great father. I'm already researching into Dad jokes."

Mikoto giggled whilst Mebuki rolled her eyes as Fugaku gave a smirk.

"Oh yes, because that's really going to be useful."

Itachi watched on, as the adults talked not really getting what they were saying. The blonde woman had also eaten a baby. She had a small bump to prove it.

"A little birdie told me you're expecting another, can't keep your hands off each other eh?" Mebuki nudged Mikoto with her elbow winking. Fugaku coughed awkwardly covering Itachi's ears not wanting him to hear such adult content. He just blinked up innocently.

"Yes we are, I'm so happy for him to have a sibling."

"Well, congratulations then. Who knows, maybe our babies will be friends in the future." Kizashi laughed.

He wasn't wrong exactly.

"So cute," Mikoto squealed seeing the young pink-haired baby in her arms. She blinked showing her bright green eyes smiling at her.

Both the Uchiha and Harunos had come across each other again at the festival, only this time with a little family member. Fugaku, Kizashi, and Itachi had gone to get food as the two women sat to chat.

"Your daughter looks adorable," Mebuki commented gushing.

"Oh no, he's a boy," Mikoto giggled.

"Oh, I apologise," flushing at the mistake.

"No need, a lot of people have been mistaking him as a girl. Even Kushina." The two laughed causing him to stir.

"Sorry Sasuke, did we disturb you?" His mother's voice soothed him. He looked up at her showing his big black eyes then towards Sakura. The two stared having noticed another like them before Sasuke yawned and went back to sleep feeling tired. Mebuki and Mikoto chatted happily the night away.

"Mama, where are you?" Sakura looked around not being able to find her parents.

How hard was it to find a man with cherry blossom shape hair?

Sakura wanted to cry and was close to tears before a beautiful black-haired woman knelt down before her.

"Hello there Sakura, are you lost?" Sakura sniffed rubbing her eyes that started to water.

"How… how do you know my name?"

"Oh, I'm a friend of your mother's, Mebuki. Let's go now, they must be worried sick."

Sakura nodded taking her hand, she seemed nice enough. Although her mama and papa told her to never talk to strangers. But she knew her mother's name, so that had to count for something.

The stranger took her to who looked like her family; a young boy came over to them.

"Mom, look what I got." He showed her his fish before his eyes met Sakuras.

"Who are you?" The girl blushed before hiding behind his mother's leg, heart fluttering.

"This is Sakura. She's a little lost and we usually bump into her parents at the festival so I'm sure we'll find them." Mikoto chirped happily nudging said girl towards her son.

"You two are the same age so do you think you can keep her company for a while whilst me and your father search for them? Itachi will keep an eye on you two." Said boy nodded. Sasuke wanted to object, as he wanted to spend more time with his brother and father but seeing as she lost her parents, Sasuke felt bad and obliged.

"Sure," he took the girl's hand pulling her towards the stall he and his father were at earlier.

"You should try this, if you catch them you get to keep the goldfish," Sasuke explained the rules as Sakura nodded and listened. She did have a go earlier with her father but was terrible at it.

Mikoto smiled fondly at the scene and left with her husband to find the girl's parents.

Sakura tried and failed miserably to catch anything but it felt nice just to be with Sasuke. When she heard her mother's voice Sakura instantly dropped the poi and ran towards them.

"I'm sorry I got lost, I thought I would never see you again." She cried into her mother's leg, Kizashi bent down to pick his daughter.

"Well, you were smart enough to stay with the Uchiha's." Patting her lightly on the back in a comforting matter. "Let's go and get some food. Would you like that?" Sakura nodded into her father's shoulder as both couples parted ways.

She peered over her father as she waved bye to Sasuke and he waved back, happy to have found a friend.

"Sasuke-Kun!" A 13-year-old Sakura ran happily and clung to his arm.

"Let's do Kingyo Sukui like last year," she gave him a pretty smile before dragging him towards the stall.

"You don't need to pull me," he muttered but allowed her to anyway.

"Hmm, they seem to be getting closer," Mikoto, grinned as Itachi snorted.

"Well, they are in the same class."

"Oh shoot," it escaped again. Sasuke smirked. "Still can't scoop it?" Sakura pouted at Sasuke's teasing knowing full well he had seen her fail multiple times. Even after all these years, it was mortifying.

"I'll do it!" She tried again and again. Nope. This is getting frustrating.

"You're doing it all wrong, let me." Sasuke guided her hand and she blushed at their proximity. Of course, he didn't notice because this is Sasuke. Finally, she caught one, well they both did. It still didn't exactly count as a win, but it would do for now.

"You can keep it," Sasuke spoke as he effortlessly caught his own. Damn him.

The two had locked eye contact and Sakura felt her face flush, she did always have a crush on Sasuke. Knew it from the first moment her eyes laid upon him. Would it be weird to confess now?

They did go to the festival together, every year since his parents found her.

"Uh, Sasuke-Kun I-"

"Hey there you are, stop leaving me out of things." Naruto appeared out of nowhere behind them, startling the two. Sakura bonked him on the head.

"You idiot! You scared me half to death." Naruto rubbed his head groaning. Sasuke sighed, his friends were so loud.

"We should get going, don't want to miss the fireworks." The two hurried along after him.

Now at 18, this was the first festival Sakura attended which Sasuke didn't. He had gone to college in following in his father's footsteps to become an officer. And whilst Sakura did understand that it had been his dream, this didn't make it any easier.

She bumped into Mikoto and Fugaku making polite conversation with them. Her parents had gone to get some food.

"I know it's tough, I miss him too. But we'll see him again soon." Sakura smiled sadly, Sasuke didn't keep in contact with her much probably busy with his studies and who knows what else. Again fully understanding, he has a new life now. Sakura just wished he could respond to her every now and then.

She didn't even get to confess to him beforehand.

Now at 23, Sakura was also in college. However, came back for the holidays to see her parents and to enjoy the festival. She missed the previous ones as no one said being a doctor would be easy.

So much for traditions, Sakura thought but it won't stop her from enjoying this year's festival. Looking around and finding her favourite stall.

Goldfish scooping, Sakura grinned ready to finally catch one for herself.

"Come on, come on," and once again failed.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Annoyed didn't even begin to describe how the young girl felt. Did someone have a vendetta against her?

"Still terrible at catching goldfish?" She recognised that voice from anywhere, and low, and behold Sasuke was standing behind her.

"Sasuke? When did you… Mikoto never mentioned anything about you being back."

"Ah, I asked her not to. Since you would be here, I wanted to surprise you." Sakura stared in disbelief but then she punched him (lightly although it did hurt still) on his arm frowning.

"You really couldn't just send one text back?" Her brows furrowed but then a big grin broke out and she hugged him. "Just so you know, I still hate you for not messaging me but I understand that life gets busy."

He rolled his eyes, it had been so long but almost like nothing changed. The two knelt down as they continued their usual tradition with the golf fish.

"I caught it!" Sakura beamed.

Finally!

Maybe Sasuke had been wrong about nothing changing, but then it wasn't a secret that they were both attracted to one another. Over the next months, the two had been keeping in contact and even met up from time to time.

So when the kiss happened under the fireworks neither was shocked more like nearly expecting it? Although it must have been shocking to Sakura to some degree as he was the one who initiated it.

A pretty pink blush adorned her cheeks and Sasuke felt like a fool for not doing this earlier. He took her hand in his, at least now they were moving forward with their relationship.

"Eh? You're getting married? Since when have you two been together?" A Kizashi cried astonished over the fact his daughter had a boyfriend and now engaged in one night. She even had a ring.

"Uh, for a long while now?" Sakura sheepishly smiled. The two liked having their privacy and well now, with their well-paid jobs it only seemed right to pursue their relationship further. Sasuke figured before they move in together they should get married, to spare Mr. Haruno.

"I think that's great news." Mikoto beamed, Mebuki nodded and Fugaku gave his son a warm smile.

"Ah, we have so much to do now. We have to send out invites, the food." Mebuki ranted on listing everything.

"Itachi needs to know as well," Mikoto commented.

Kizashi stared at his wife in disbelief. "Are you really telling me your fine with our daughter randomly getting married? We didn't even know she HAD a boyfriend."

"Oh please, she's not marrying a stranger and I thought you wanted grandkids?" Kizashi almost choked.

"No, she's far too young."

"Mama look what I got," a young black-haired girl showed her goldfish to her mother happily grinning.

"Good job Sarada," Sakura could see the smirk Sasuke sent her way, of course, Sarada would take after him in that aspect.

"We should go now, your grandparents found the perfect spot for the fireworks, and Uncle Itachi is here as well with Izumi. They might have some sweets for you." Sarada bounced excitedly to see both her grandparents, Uncle Itachi and Aunt Izumi. She also wanted to show them her new fish.

"Let's go," quickly running ahead before Sasuke could get up.

"Don't go off too far honey," Sakura shouted sighing, was this what her parents had gone through with her?

Sasuke made his way over to his wife kissing her on the forehead lightly causing Sakura to blush. It was rare for him to show affection in public.

"We should go before she gets lost as someone else did at her age." He teased, lacing their hands together.

"Yeah, yeah okay," she agreed annoyed but blissfully content with their life now.

I couldn't stop grinning writing this, I love fluff. Anyway, I've written a poll which you can find on my profile.

I've been debating on writing an M/M SasuSaku fic with NaruSasu being ex-lovers, I got an idea/story in my head but I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in the fic considering the drama going on between the two fandoms atm. If you don't know a lot of NaruSasuNaru fans have been very misogynistic and horrible towards the SasuSaku/Sakura fans on Twitter. It's disgusting.

This is why I'm second-guessing the story, although I haven't written anything so hopefully when I do the drama has settled. I wish people can just get along with ships aah. Anyway enough with the negativity. Let's continue on with SasuSaku Month^^
