It's a bad night. Mulan has pulled through without painkillers, but she's struggling. When she gets home, she finds Shang seated at the piano. He's playing something jazzy and fun that could be original. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him in greeting before trotting off to the shower.

Twenty minutes later when she's clean and comfortable in some sweats and a camisole, Shang has migrated to the kitchen. He's plating up some seared scallops and a salad when Mulan takes a seat at the breakfast bar. There's a glass of something white waiting for her.

She's not very romantic, but she likes that Shang sees every opportunity for a meal together at home as a date.
