Summary: After a terrible breakup Sakura's daughter Saori sets her up on a date with her teacher.

This is not actually a completed story as it's taking longer to finish than I would like but I figured I could still upload this as it goes with the theme.

"I can't believe you agreed to this."

"You're the one who agreed first," Sasuke pointed out.

"Well yes, but only if you agree. I didn't think you would actually go along with this date." Sakura sighed while playing with the grass. Her daughter and Naruto's son Haruto had set them on a little picnic date as it was all they could afford.

"So, you don't want this?" The way he said it caught her off guard and she blushed waving her arms around trying to correct herself.

"I...I never said that. It's just uh well… you are my daughter's teacher. Isn't that kind of weird?"

"It's not like we're an actual couple, besides you'd be surprised at how many 'dates' teachers have with one another at school." Sakura laughed at that, causing him to smirk. Whilst putting herself out there again wasn't exactly on Sakura's list of plans, she did enjoy Sasuke's company.

"You know, when I told my parents about this date they gladly accepted looking after Saori. Especially when they found out it was you."

'You're going on a date with the Uchiha hotty? Oh, this is fantastic! This will really piss off Akito'

'Ma, I'm not doing this to spite my ex-boyfriend.'

'I know, I know. It's just a bonus.' She shrugged, grinning away.

'Yeah, don't worry about Saori, you just enjoy your date. It's about time you got out there again. Plus he'll definitely be mad after finding out who you're going out with'

'You two are really enjoying this aren't you? You know he's still Saori's Dad?'

Her daughter only shrugged with a, 'I don't care, he deserves it.'

'See.' Her Dad exclaimed, and as such off, she went.

"Your ex really hates me doesn't he?" Although he was used to it, plenty of the fathers hated his guts because their wives/girlfriends would try to flirt with him, right in front of them. Even though he ignored and brushed off all the attempts, they would still shoot daggers at him anytime they crossed paths.

Sakura though wasn't like that, she was loyal to Akito. The same couldn't be said about him though. They've only made polite conversation and they were all about Saori.

"Honestly, yeah. He thought you were trying to get into my pants." Sasuke choked on his drink.

"Excuse me? When was I trying to do that?"

"Apparently you talking to us about our daughter is only an excuse to see me." What?

"Was he always a possessive asshole?"

"Honestly, no. He had no problems with me going out with any of my guy friends, just you." Well, that made him feel better but shrugged it off. There wasn't any point dwelling on it since, in the end, he was the one who cheated on her with a younger woman.

"I still can't believe Saori and Haruto caught us flirting in the market."

"Tell me about it, my little nephew loved to rub it in my face."

"You have a nephew?"

"Ah, two actually and a niece. A nephew and niece on my brother's side and the other devil Haruto. Naruto's son. I see him a lot and he always refers to me as Uncle, it only seems fitting."

"That's actually quite sweet." Sakura gushed, remembering what Naruto told her, to think the first guy she ended up dating again is one of his best friends.

'I could have introduced you to him sooner you know.'

"He's far from sweet."

"I am aware…" recalling all those times he and Saori pranked her again… and again.

"Do you have any of your own kids?"

"Unfortunately no, I haven't had the best experience in dating so I never met the right person."

"But you would like to?" There was an awkward pause, but Sakura figured there was no harm in asking. She wouldn't be opposed to having more kids herself if they got serious as she didn't want Saori to grow up alone

"Yeah… I suppose." Sure, it's not exactly a question to ask on a first date but at least they could be honest with each other.

"I always wanted to have another kid, I was an only child and I know people say siblings can be annoying. But I don't think they realise how lonely it can be. I told myself if I were to ever have children then I would at least have two so they won't grow up alone." Sasuke's eyes soften hearing that, nodding.

"I had a really fun time today thanks," she smiled as he walked her to the door.

"And uh, thanks for driving me home as well. You know I could have just walked home right?"

"I know, but I wanted to." They stood in comfortable silence and Sakura felt herself start to fidget.

Is there where we kiss? Omg, how do you even kiss again? Wait, does he even want to kiss me? I mean I know we got on well but what if he doesn't see it like that? Aaah think Sakura, think.

Fully distracted with her overthinking she didn't notice how Sasuke had made the first move and felt her face heat up feeling his hand gently cupping her face and brushing their lips together. It was chaste and sweet. Sasuke pulled away slowly, coughing slightly and feeling awkward.

"I uh, I would like to see you again. If that's alright with you?" His ears were tinted red and she was sure he was blushing as hard as she was.

"Sure, I'd love that." Giving him a small smile.

"I'll call you sometime," she watched as Sasuke made his way back to his car completely lovestruck. The door opened much to Haruno's surprise and before she could get her keys out.

"Mama kissed Uchiha sensei, Mama kissed Uchiha sensei." Her little daughter teased.

"Wh-what? How do you know about that?" Saori just pointed towards the window.

"Grandma and Grandpa saw too." Looking up Sakura just about caught her parents making a dash for it and sighed, of course, they were snooping.

This is actually based on a soap storyline, well of sorts.

The storyline more so had the cheater with all the luck and the other with all the bad. So I wrote this story as a way to vent 😂

However, as I mentioned previously it is taking longer to write out than I thought so I'll probably post it as a separate one.
