Summary: They were enemies but also traitors to their own kind. Angel/Demon AU

"What do you want?" Sakura spat without looking at the said Uchiha. Hadn't he done enough damage or did he want to torment her some more? I mean he is a demon, it's in his blood.

"To talk, I heard that they've taken your wings away." He sat down next to her on the bench as she scooted away looking down in shame. It was true, after all, she's carrying his baby.

No angel was supposed to perform such an act, let alone with a demon. It was a big taboo and now she's here faced with the consequences.

When they found out, they took her wings and made her human. Sakura was never to return, which probably didn't sound like much but as she was created to be an angel Sakura didn't have a clue on how to live as a human nor did she have anyone for support.

How was she going to bring up a baby in this world?

"I'm an outcast now, you completed your assignment so just go!"

"I was never assigned to you."

"Then what was all that gloating you said about manipulating me, how this whole scheme of years worked to banish me? You expect me to trust you now?"

"When did I-" It took a moment for it to sink in.

"Naruto…" Sasuke's aura grew dark, darker than what it usually would be. Now Sakura was confused.

"Naruto?" Sasuke let out a frustrated sigh but figured she deserved the truth.

"They said I was getting too attached. I was becoming soft and you had an effect on me… I guess technically speaking they weren't wrong."

"So they threatened me, told me that they would do something about it themselves. I didn't believe them, they were all talk and no bite. Well, at least I thought." It pained to think that they went out of their way to transform into him and make her hate him.

"So you don't…you didn't plan this?" Then everything they shared, the secrets, the touches and kisses. Was it mutual?

"I didn't plan for this, not any of it." They only happened to come across one another because they kept getting assigned to the same places. Sakura was to protect and help the little one's crossover and Sasuke was to cause havoc. Neither one was looking out for the other, they did that on their own and well… it escalated.

He tried to reach for her but she pulled back.

"How do I know you're not just saying this?" Tears were welling up in her eyes, she wanted to trust him but how could she?

"Do you really think I would be here if I didn't care? I don't want to care, you are an… were an angel. I'm in just as much trouble as you." He tried reaching out for her again and thankfully she let him and allowed him to cup her cheek wiping away her tears.

"I'm sorry."

Just as he was about to lean in and kiss her, Sakura scurried back and almost fell off the bench in the process.

"Wait, if you kiss me then you'll be just like me. You'll be banished and turned human."

"That's the point idiot." Sasuke rolled his eyes, even without wings she was still being considerate towards his feelings. Trying to stop him from making the same mistake as her, but then didn't they already make that mistake together?

Why didn't she get it through her big head that this is what he wanted, just be with her? If it meant he became human and living the rest of his days as one, with her he'll do anything.

"I-" Sakura tried to come up with an excuse, anything, but nothing came up.

"If you kiss me, there's no going back, you know that right? You'll have to put up with me and look after this little one too." She said as she stroked her pregnant stomach fondly.

"I know," to any passersby they looked as though they were a couple who had an argument and were getting back together again, except it was much more than that. Way more.

"Now will you let me kiss you?" She nodded bashfully, at the feel of her lips on his Sasuke could feel everything drain from him. His powers, wings, everything of who he was and broke it off panting heavily.

He had a heart now? How odd.

"Are you okay?"

"Ah, it felt weird…" However, now it means that it's just the two of them. Sasuke stood up holding his hand out to her.

"Let's go," Sakura gave him a weird look but took his hand. "Go where?"

"Anywhere, I need to find a job to provide for the little one. Besides, someone owes me a favour."

What Sakura didn't know was that being with her wasn't his only crime. Amongst their meetings and banters Sasuke had uncharacteristically done good deeds for humans. He helped fix broken relationships and even saved people. Of course, they knew about it and warned him off but he brushed them aside and did his own thing.

He knew she was partly the cause of it, every time he saw someone in pain he thought of how she would feel and fixed things knowing it would make her happy. In some ways, Sasuke saw it as selfish since he did it for her, not them. But who were they to know any better?
