Another part from my Angel/Demon AU. Warning, this does include some angst

Sarada sees two strangers in her bedroom, one was full of light and the other darkness. So the girl did what any normal kid her age would do. She screamed and cried running out of her room and into her parents one screaming that there were strangers there.

Sasuke picks up his terrified daughter and hands her over to Sakura to deal with the intruders as she tries her best to comfort her. He wasn't alarmed, rather expecting it since he could feel their presence from afar. They both could.

"I had a feeling you two would be here." They just give a sheepish grin.

"Hey Sasuke, long time no see." Naruto waves, Sasuke gives a tsk at the blonde, he still hasn't forgiven him after finding out he tried to make Sakura hate him.

"What are you doing here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Ino shrugs and points to her attire.

"We've been assigned to Sarada, both of us." Sasuke makes a face at that.

"You do realise she's three, she's too young to decide if she's going to commit evil crimes of destruction or be a saint."

"Got to teach them while they're young, we're here to encourage her. Well differently of course." Naruto was there to corrupt Sarada and make her choose the path of evil whilst Ino was there to be her guardian and help the girl choose a path that would bring her happiness.

"Then I'm on Ino's side," Naruto gave an 'oi' in protest whilst the other blonde smirked.

"I'm her father, I want what's best for her and I know damn well it isn't you."

"You used to be one of us," Naruto mumbled.

"My point exactly, anyway couldn't you two pick a more convenient time? I have a crying toddler now."

"You know what they're like, if we're late then we're toast," which was true. With every assignment they have, they have to be on time. Otherwise who knew what happened five minutes earlier, if angels were tasked to help someone it would be too late before they get there. As for the demons, well it's more about creating more destruction than they would have.

Sasuke groaned, he wanted to get some rest so they left further discussions for tomorrow and allowed Sarada to sleep between them in their bedroom tonight.

"So, you see Sarada, we're here to guide you. I'm the good one and the other idiot is the bad one."

"Hey, that's not fair!"

"Well, is it a lie?" Sarada nodded, she didn't fully understand the whole concept yet but will in time. For now, it just meant she had more people to play with.

"Yay more fun!" She clapped her hands, Sakura sighed. She's such an innocent girl.

"Hey I have a question," Ino gave Naruto a questionable look.

"If Sarada happened before they turned human, wouldn't that already make her half-demon and half-angel? Like is it possible for her to be one of us when she's already both?"

"Hmm. Hard to say, nothing like this has happened so I wouldn't know for sure. But in the end, she's human now so she'll end up with one of us."

"I suppose… do you think they'll tell her about it?"

This demon was full of questions today.

"They have to, it wouldn't be fair if she never knew and I suppose that will be when we find out too… what kind of person Sarada will really be."

Naruto nodded, on one hand, it would be a perfect day for him. To manipulate and strike her when she's weak, but his stomach churned at the thought. And he doesn't even eat.

At fourteen Sarada understood more about Naruto and Ino's presence in her life. They were her guardians of sorts. Sure Naruto was a demon but he's hardly done anything demonic to her so she just saw him as another important figure in her life.

Well, one that only she and her parents can see that is if need be.

Sometimes the angel and demon would let others see them but they were there for her only so didn't need the public eye.

"Hey, Kawaki!" Sarada called out running towards him. Like Sarada, he had two people watching over him as well. It felt good to have someone to talk to about it.

He waited, allowing her to catch up to him as they both talked about their weird and unique life.

"You said your parents were once an angel and demon right?"

"Hmm, oh yeah. They were but became human after… um, you know being in love and stuff." The young Uchiha didn't really want to think of her parents' sex life.

"So you know what will happen to them?" Sarada gave him a confused look.

"What do you mean?" She stopped walking, so did he.

"They haven't told you?"

"Told me what? What haven't I been told?" Kawaki wanted to keep silent, thinking he may have put his foot in it.

"Kawaki!"

"My guardians have been telling me about them, about their situation."

Situation? What situation?

"When an angel or demon turns human they are banished from ever returning to their own world." He paused, allowing the information to sink in.

"In other words, when they die from their human form… that's it." Sarada could feel her heart pounding and feet tremble.

"What do you mean that's it?!"

"They don't have a heaven… or hell to go to because… because they've already been banished."

"I don't understand, what will happen to them then? Where will they go?"

"They just… they just don't exist anymore…" Sarada left before he could say anything more and Kawaki again kicks himself for having a conversation he had no place in.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sarada came into the house crying and full of rage.

"Sarada?" Sakura immediately runs to her concerned.

"Why didn't you tell me, that you and Dad will… that after you go… I'll never be able to see you again!" Sakura's face drops and she looks away.

"Who… who told you?"

"So, it IS true. Why hide such a massive secret from me?"

"We were going to bring it up… but we didn't know how to-"

"Oh, so that makes it okay?"

"No…"

Ino and Naruto turn up now, seeing as she finished school.

"Yo Sarada, what's-"

"Did you know too?" She faces the two angrily. They were both taken aback but it clicked with Sakura's facial expression on what she meant.

"We did…" Ino answers guiltily.

"And you didn't think to tell me?"

"It's not our place Sarada-"

"Not our place, you're a DEMON! Shouldn't you be breaking these kinds of rules?" Naruto said nothing and kept his mouth shut.

"Maybe we should go," Ino suggested and Naruto nodded.

"I'll give Sasuke a heads up." Sakura smiled in gratitude.

The three now sat on a table in complete silence. Sasuke and Sakura sat next to each other on one side with Sarada on their opposite. Sasuke squeezed Sakura's hand and faced his daughter.

"We should have told you sooner and I apologize for that."

"Apologies don't mean anything, how long do we have? What were you two thinking?"

"We knew the consequences of our mistakes Sarada, it just happened."

"You're not even bothered by this?"

"I didn't say that, like I said your mother and I knew what would happen to us. And we greatly accept them, we just… never thought how it would affect you."

"How could it not? You're my parents, I mean sure I understand that after you die I won't be seeing you anymore but I was also under the impression when I go we would see each other on the other side."

"Sarada…" Sakura tried to say something, but her daughter breaking down in front of her made her look away.

"How could you be so selfish? Do you think I will be fine with never seeing my parents again? Why can't I go with you two, I shouldn't even exist in the first place."

"You're innocent in all this, our sins don't have anything to do with you." Sakura nodded.

"Your father is right, besides we were created. You on the other hand were born, we don't have parents. You have us, we're truly sorry we never thought this through but we love you and just want the best life for you."

Sarada hiccuped and started sobbing, unable to see her daughter in such a state Sakura stood up and ran over to hug her apologizing over and over.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," she started sniffing and crying with her.

"Mama… you're squishing me." Sasuke stood up and lightly put his hand on Sarada's head smiling fondly but sadly.

"We may not see each other in the next life but we can make the most of it now. I promise." Sarada sniffed but nodded. Life really wasn't fair but for now, at least she had her parents.
