A few minutes later, Ashlynn had brought Raven to her room which was far from the ballroom and would give them the best privacy to talk.
"So, what is it?" asked Ashlynn who was sitting on her bed as Raven sat on the bench of her vanity.
"I can't believe I'm about to say this," said Raven, who was obviously nervous. The witch then took a deep breath before she spoke.
"I've had a crush on someone who's attending your party for a while now, and I overheard something that bothered me, that's why I was going to leave," said Raven.
"Wait, I thought you were dating Dexter," said a surprised Ashlynn.
"We only went on one date, and I only did that to try and get over the person I do like since they'll never like me back," said Raven.
"And that didn't work out so we've just been friends since," she said while gripping the skirt of her dress to try and stop her hands from shaking.
"Well who is the guy?" asked Ashlynn.
"It's not a guy," said Raven who had started to blush. By this point, Apple and Briar had started to walk toward Ashlynn's room looking for her.
"She's been gone for a while, I hope nothing's happened," said Apple.
"Okay, then who is this girl, maybe I can help you," came Ashlynn's voice from her room which had the door left open just by a crack. This made Apple and Briar stop right outside the room.
"She's the girl that was complaining to you for only having her wedding party to look forward to," said Raven as the blush deepened even further.
"Whoa, you mean that you like Apple?!" asked Ashlynn who was more surprised than ever before.
"Have for a long time now, and now you can see why I can never confess," said Raven. A shocked Apple then ran off with Briar behind her, missing out on the rest of the conversation.
"I understand what you mean, but Raven, you can't hexpect to just get over something like this," said Ashlynn.
"Yeah, it was kind of bad on my part to date Dexter to do that, huh?" asked Raven who had a guilt ridden expression.
"Does he know?" asked Ashlynn.
"He knows that I'm actually gay, but not that I'm love with her," said Raven.
