After overhearing what Raven had said to Ashlynn, Apple and Briar had gone to the garden outside.
"Well, this sure has been an interesting night," said Briar as Apple stood facing a tree. Both of them were out of breath from running all the way out there.
"She likes me, she actually likes me," said Apple who was blushing a deep shade of red and a faint smile on her face.
"I get it, but what are you going to do about this?" asked Briar.
"What do you mean?" asked Apple as she turned to face her BFFA. .
"I mean are you going to finally tell the girl that you've loved her for years now or not," said Briar who was standing there with her arms crossed across her chest.
"She might like me, but what right do I have to be with her after everything I've done?" asked Apple as her face changed to one of sadness.
"I mean I'm the one whose been pushing her to follow a destiny she doesn't want and has been hounding her for a stupid cursed apple that I didn't even want," she said.
"So you're just going to allow your guilt of how you've treated her to force you into marrying someone you don't even like?" asked Briar.
"You of all people should know it's not that essay to confess to the person you like, I mean how hard was it for you to ask Faybelle out?" asked Apple.
"Point taken, but not only did she say yes after I finally did, we have been together for the last five months and are even planning to come out soon," said Briar. Apple then looked down at the ground while contemplating what to do.
"Alright, I have a plan of what we can do," said Briar who felt bad.
"We can go ask Ashlynn for some help with this seeing how she's the one that Raven came out to, but it means that you have to come out to her," she said.
"I guess that makes sense," said Apple.
"But after the party and once we're back at school, I don't want to put too much stress on Ashlynn tonight," she said as they walked away, unaware of a shadowy figure that had heard everything.
