The next morning, the school woke to the sound of nothing as Apple had disappeared during the night and was not there to sing like normal.
"This can't be happening," said Raven as she sat on her knees while clutching a letter that she had found sitting on the coffee table. Cerise and Briar both then rushed into the room, worried for both girls.
"Sorry for barging in, but you weren't answering your… phone," said Cerise as they found Raven on the floor.
"Hey, what's wrong, and where's Apple?" asked Briar as she knelt down beside Raven to check on her. Briar had run into Cerise on the way after both of them woke to find the lack of Apple's typical early morning singing. Raven just held the letter out to Cerise, not turning to face either girl or saying a word to them.
"Dear Raven, I'm sorry for leaving suddenly, but Daring had sent a hext last night saying that we have to leave early this morning as our wedding's been moved up to… two days from the time you read this?!" asked Cerise who was both shocked and mad.
"What?!" asked Briar while standing quickly and snatching the letter out of the hooded girl's hands.
"However, I'm doing this not because I like him but because I don't want him to hurt people, including you who I love the most, Raven; signed Apple," said Briar who was surprised that Apple managed to confess in the letter.
"Wait, does that mean…?" asked Cerise before Raven's magic flared to life around her, scarring Both Cerise and Briar.
"Daring's going to pay for this," said Raven as she managed to stand up while clenching her fists so tight that her knuckles turned white.
"I take it that from your reaction you're going to fight back?" asked Briar with a knowing smile while crossing her arms across her chest.
"Yeah, and I'm going to need help," said Raven as she stood up.
"You can count on me," said Cerise.
"And I'm sure that we can get a few others in on this too," said Briar as she started to hext people like crazy.
