Mangle Tangled [Overly Affectionate Animatronics – no pairings]
'Why do they keep sending me in here?' Fritz grumbled to himself as he crawled into the central hub of the ventilation system. He was the tallest technician yet they always left the vent jobs to him. With a frustrated huff, he pressed the first vent button, wincing at the loud groan from the opening door, those definitely needed lubricating again.
Resetting the buttons, he flipped the switch for the next vent, then reset the buttons on that panel. As the third opened, he caught a glimpse of white disappearing around the corner. He grinned, 'I see you Mangle.' The broken fox animatronic enjoyed running the vents, popping out where ever they liked and startling the staff. Oftentimes Mangle would drape over the technician's shoulder as he worked, chattering in their broken voice. Fritz was surprised it had taken so long for the fox to appear. Shrugging, he finished resetting the final panel and the doors began to close.
Suddenly a series of loud bangs from the vent behind was the only warning he had before a heavy form crashed into his back, knocking him to the floor and clocking his head against the wall. Audio garbled by static chattered in his ear as a white muzzle nudged his cheek. "I'm ok beautiful. Just a little bruised."
Carefully rolling over under Mangle's disjointed form, he gave the fox a wry smile. Rubbing her head between the ears, he smiled as the fox perked up a bit, "Cut things a little too close this time huh?"
He never knew static could sound embarrassed, but Mangle somehow managed.
"It happens to the best of us," he reassured them. "Now let's undo this twister puzzle we're in and get out of here okay?"
