Part 4

"Gideon is there something wrong with our cameras? We are not getting feed from any of them." Said Thawne

"I am not detecting anything wrong with them." Said Gideon

"Then why am I not getting any feed from any of them?"

"I am searching for answers. But unfortunately it could be due to a problem with the satellite uplink. Or maybe they just stopped working due to a dead battery."

"Fine the problem and fix it! For now show me the future."

A hologram of a news paper article came up. The headline reading.

Justice League Prevents Crisis. Red Skies Disappear.

Thawne punched the wall of the time vault in anger. Things were not going according to plan. But there was still time to fix things. He read through the article that was written by Iris West Thawne. The major change he was seeing was that the Flash doesn't disappear. He had to make that happen. The second there was no mention of the Reverse Flash. If he wasn't there what the hell happened to him. He was not going to worry about that now. Tomorrow he would begin training Barry Allen to be the hero he was destined to become.

Cisco sat in front of his computer tossing popcorn into his mouth as he watched Thawne have a temper tantrum. He was glad that he had paid a visit to Gideon right after getting his memory of the old Earth. Turns out Gideon in the time vault would take orders from not only Barry but Caitlin and himself as well as who she referred to as Oracle. But would not give any other information on who that person was. He picked up his phone and sent a text to Barry.

Jammers working perfectly. Thawne is freaking out. Pissed he can't spy on you.

Good. See you at Star tomorrow for my "tests." We are playing along for now. I will go see Kara after we are done.

Cisco turned off his computer and got to work on a suit for Frost. Or as she goes by now in everyday life Charlie.

Barry walked into the bedroom to see Caitlin in bed reading a paperback book. He smiled. The book was not what he had expected. He had never thought that Caitlin would read any kind of romance book. Let alone romance suspense. She caught him watching her.

"What?" asked Caitlin

"I kind of thought that kind of book would be more Charlie's style. Not yours."

"I am full of surprises. But this is actually too tame for my sister. She likes books that boarder more on smut. The love interest in this writer's books don't do much more then kiss. They more or less flirt with each other."

"I guess it really is your style then."

"Barry, you don't have to be nervous. Until we are both use to our new relationship status all we have to do is sleep. But it would help if we actually shared the bed like the married couple we are. Besides I may not have ice powers but I do get cold at night."

"Then I guess I should join you and keep you warm. Can't have you turning blue on me."

"Funny Flash. Now get into bed."

Barry climbed into bed next to Caitlin. He nearly jumped out again when she pressed her feet against his leg.

"Are you sure you aren't the one with the cold powers?" asked Barry

"Yes. I have small veins in my legs. So my feet get cold easily."

"Cait, it is not that cold today."

"I know. I have been like this most of my life. I know it will take some getting use to. Just like it is taking some getting use to not having Frost's voice in my head from time to time. After the wall DeVoe put up came down I got so use to hearing her voice. When I let her take control before crisis I tried to just let her do her thing without giving my input too much. Some of her going after Ramsey was from what I was seeing."

"We are not going to let him make his blood brothers this time."

"I know. But we should also make sure that if Allegra has her powers that she has good control."

"We will. We maybe should restore her memories. But I want to keep the number down as much as possible. But I do agree about your mom. You and Charlie need answers about your dad and she is the only one with them. Cait do you think the meta cure would work on him?"

"I think so. I know Frost was trying to stop it being made cause she thought that I was going to take it. Once upon a time I probably would have. But not at that time and definitely wouldn't try and get Charlie to take it now. But with a few exceptions I still think it should be a choice to take it."

"Exceptions such as DeVoe, Cicada, your dad and possibly Ramsey?"

"Yeah. But Cisco and Charlie should get some say. Though I am pretty sure that Charlie would be in on all of them."

"Yeah I am sure she would."

"Barry, I think I should tell you something."

"What is it Cait?"

"On the old Earth. I was in love with you. I can't tell you exactly when it happened. But if Ronnie hadn't come back I think I would have told you I had feelings for you. But then Ronnie died again and you pulled away from everyone."

"I thought we could have something after that night we did karaoke together. You were so cute as a drunk mess. But you kind of challenged me to call Linda. Then Ronnie came back and I lost my chance so I thought. When I couldn't save Ronnie, I felt so guilty that you lost your chance at the love of your life."

"After that night when you took care of me. The drunk mess I was. If you had asked me on a date I would have said yes. But you were so convinced that Iris was the one you were in love with."

"Yeah looking back now. Remembering the relationship we have on this earth comparing it with the one with Iris. This is a much healthier one. I had Iris on this pedestal as this perfect person. But now I see how toxic being with her was."

"You were a different person once you got her with her. Not the loveable dork that opened my heart again."

"I am so sorry about how I treated you. The whole Savitar thing was my fault. I promised you I would help you deal with your powers. But then I got blasted to the future and saw Iris die."

"I was never mad that you wanted to save Iris. I was hurt that you weren't there for me. Frost was so pissed off because you forgot about your promise."

"That will never happen again."

"Good cause I don't think it will be your leg Frost stabs this time if you abandon me."

"Right. We should probably get ready to head to Star Labs."

"Yeah. Oh and once we are done dealing with Thawne. We up grade the security big time. No unauthorized people are allowed in."

"Probably should make sure the particle accelerator can't get turned on by just anyone too."

"That would be a good idea. Barry just Be careful today. I know you can't let him know that you can control your speed. But I hate to see you hurt."

"I will try no to get hurt too bad. Though I do have the best and most beautiful doctor to care for me."

"We may be married on this Earth Mr. Allen. But you are not getting any until we go on at least one proper date."

"Then we will do that soon. I will see if I can get us a table at Antonio's on Friday."

"Sounds good."

Barry leaned over and kissed Caitlin before getting out of bed to go start breakfast while Caitlin took a shower.
