(A/N: But Dudley and Kitty aren't the only couple who planned on starting a family. I didn't call this story "Family Starters" for one family! Let's get Chapter 4 started!)

Now let's go back to around the time the story began, and we find that Dr. Rabies and Madame Catastrophe are sitting up in bed, talking.

"I don't get it. We're married like we wanted to be, but I feel like something's missing." Madame Catastrophe said to her husband.

"Well, when you think of what it is that's missing, let me know." said Dr. Rabies. He was happy being married to the villainess he loved. He couldn't really think of anything else he wanted.

"I will." Madame Catastrophe promised as Dr. Rabies fell asleep next to her.

The next morning, when the villains awoke, Madame Catastrophe told Dr. Rabies, "Okay, I have good news and bad news."

"What's the good news?" asked Dr. Rabies.

"The good news is: I figured out what's missing." his wife replied.

"And the bad news?" Dr. Rabies questioned.

"That's the bad news. I want a baby. That's what we're missing." Madame Catastrophe said.

"Why do you want a baby? Don't you know how big a responsibility they are?" Dr. Rabies asked.

"Yes, I do. But wouldn't you like to have someone to carry on our evil ways when we no longer can?" Madame Catastrophe asked.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea." Dr. Rabies said, smiling evilly at the thought.

"You want to have a baby now?" Madame Catastrophe asked.

"Yes!" said Dr. Rabies.

But before they could do anything, they realized that they were hungry, so they had to have breakfast. They did, but they felt it was still too early to try for a baby. They put off trying to have a baby until that night.

"You ready?" Madame Catastrophe asked her husband as they got into bed that night.

"Ready as I'll ever be! Let's do this!" said Dr. Rabies.

As for what they did, I'm not going into detail. I will tell you, however, that they didn't stop until the sun began to rise. They spent a good portion of the following day in bed, catching up on the sleep they didn't get.

The villains didn't know if they were going to have a baby, but Madame Catastrophe was hoping they would. If she did end up pregnant, would her husband be happy about it? Would he even care?

She waited a couple of weeks before testing herself. The test results were positive, but that didn't mean anything. She called the evil vet to set up an appointment and get a second opinion. Her appointment wouldn't be for a good while, so all she could do was hope she was pregnant.

A few more weeks passed, and then came the morning when Madame Catastrophe wasn't feeling too well.

"What would you like for breakfast?" Dr. Rabies asked his wife as he got out of bed.

His question was answered when his wife got up and ran to the bathroom in a hurry.

Concerned, he followed his wife, and he heard her throwing up in there.

"That's not good." Dr. Rabies thought as he listened to his wife.

About 10 minutes later, his wife came out of the bathroom, and he said, "What happened?"

"I wish I knew." Madame Catastrophe replied.

"Maybe you're getting the stomach flu? Should I fix you some dry toast?" Dr. Rabies suggested.

But that was the wrong thing to say, 'cause Madame Catastrophe felt sick again, and she ran back into the bathroom, where she started to throw up once again.

"Maybe she's not hungry." Dr. Rabies figured.

When Madame Catastrophe emerged, she said, "I'm going back to bed. And before you ask, don't mention food!"

"Okay, then." said Dr. Rabies. He fixed himself some breakfast, and after he ate, he checked on his wife. She was resting, and she did that for a good part of the morning.

Around noon, she was feeling a lot better, and she was able to eat.

"I wonder what caused you to feel sick this morning. It can't be the bug going around; you'd still be sick if that was the case." Dr. Rabies said.

"I don't know. I never felt sick like that before, either. Ah well, it's probably nothing really serious." Madame Catastrophe shrugged.

But the next morning, she was sick again. And by the afternoon, she felt fine.

This went on for about a week, and Dr. Rabies said, "You need to see the vet."

"Don't worry. I set up an appointment weeks ago, and I'll be seeing him later today." Madame Catastrophe said.

So she went to the vet and told him what happened. He suspected she might be pregnant.

"I took a pregnancy test, and it said I was pregnant, but I want a second opinion, just to make sure I really am having a baby." Madame Catastrophe said.

"Well, I'll test you, and we should have the results back in a few days." the vet promised.

"Good." said Madame Catastrophe.

However, getting tested by a doctor is kind of expensive, and Dr. Rabies was not amused when he found out how much it cost.

"The doctor charged you how much, just to find out if you're pregnant?! You could give me that money, and I can tell you you're not pregnant!" said Dr. Rabies.

"You can't possibly know that!" Madame Catastrophe said.

"Okay, so I don't know, but I wouldn't want to have to pay that much to find out if there will be a baby on the way!" Dr. Rabies said.

"I know that, but what can I do? All we can do now is wait for the vet to get the results." Madame Catastrophe said.

Well, during that week, they ended up committing a crime to calm their nerves, but they got caught by the T.U.F.F. agents, who threw them in prison. And the vet saw it on the news, so he ended up calling the prison so he could give Madame Catastrophe the results of the pregnancy test.

"That test you took yourself was not lying. You really are pregnant." the vet told her.

Madame Catastrophe was really excited about this, and when the call was done, she turned to Dr. Rabies and said, "We're going to have a little evil one."

"Really?! That's great!" said Dr. Rabies.

The news did not thrill the cops, who overheard. All they could think was, "Oh, great. Wait until the T.U.F.F. agents hear that there's going to be another villain to deal with."

But they don't have to worry about that right now, and neither do we. This chapter is over, and Chapter 5 is coming up, so stay tuned!
