The guys had been out on a quiet patrol, when they suddenly noticed Foot activity all hurrying in the same direction.
"I wonder what party they're late to," Raphael commented dryly.
"We better check it out. I noticed some Purple Dragons going in the same direction," Leonardo stated.
"It can't be good then," Donatello replied. "It never is when they're all involved."
Let's go, Dudes," Michelangelo said. "Lead the way Leo!"
They roof jumped a bit, being careful to stay unnoticed as they followed the Foot ninja to their unknown destination. Noticing the huge crowd of soldiers on the one rooftop from a distance, they wondered just what it was they had surrounded.
A high-pitched shriek escaped through the night, and Michelangelo gasped as he stood straight in high alert. "Lenni!"
"What are you talking about, shell for brains? The girls are back at the lair with Master Splinter," Raphael told him.
"Mikey?" Leonardo questioned. "Why…?"
"They've got Lenni!" Michelangelo insisted, as he took off without any more hesitation.
"He does know her screams best," Donatello reasoned, as he quickly took off after his brother in orange.
Just as they got close enough to see just what was going on, Hun thrust a small mutant turtle out over the side of the roof by their leg. They all froze a moment, shock and fear hitting them like a ton of bricks; they heard another little voice then. "NO! LET HER GO!"
Lenni had been scrambling to get away, but the big oaf had suddenly grabbed her by the leg and thrust her out over the edge of the rooftop. She let loose another ear-piercing shriek, as she stared down at the ground that was quite the ways below. "NO! NO! PLEASE! I'LL BE GOOD!"
"Too late for that, freak," Hun replied as he gave her a shake, looking back at the other turtle girl. "Now tell me where your lair is, or I'm throwing her away."
"We don't know!" Danceingfae insisted. "We've never been up here!"
"I'm done playing games," Hun said, as he tossed the smallest turtle tot off the side of the rooftop.
"NOOOOOOO!" Danceingfae screamed, as she tried to lurch towards her sister, only to be pulled back. "LENNIIIIIIIIIII!"
Lenni could feel herself falling as she screamed at the top of her lungs. Having been dangled was bad enough, but now she was going to end up a pancake! Her little hands reached out for something – anything – that they could possibly grasp, but found nothing. Suddenly, something rammed into her and instead of falling down, she was now flying sideways. She gasped, as the wind was knocked out of her, and she had no idea as to just what was happening.
Landing carefully on a lower rooftop, Leonardo set his baby sister down so he could check her over. Seeing her tossed off the roof like she was nothing but trash had angered him and terrified him all at once. "Lenni? Lenni, are you okay?"
Finally finding her breath, the turtle tot stared up at the one who had just rescued her. "Leo?" Her lower lip trembled, her body shaking, as sobs escaped her small frame.
Crouching before his baby sister, he checked her over quickly once more, as she stood there crying. "What were you thinking? How did you get up here?"
"I's just wanted to be a good ninja!" She wailed, as she flung herself at him.
He hugged her tightly, glancing upwards, hoping his brothers were able to save whichever one of the girls had been up there with her. He stood holding her, ducking back into the shadows. It may be best for those on the high rise to think the turtle tot was long gone. "Shh… I've got you."
The others had jumped into action the moment their brother in blue had gone for the falling turtle tot. They were not amused at all that anyone could be so cruel to little kids; mutant or not. Moving swiftly, they hurried to rescue the little female still currently in the hands of the Foot.
"NO! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Danceingfae screamed at the muscular man, who was grinning evilly. "SHE WAS JUST A BABY!"
"I warned you what would happen, if you didn't tell me what I wanted to know, you little freak," Hun replied, as he advanced towards her. "You will be next, unless I decide you'd be better off with Master Shredder. Now tell me where those other turtle freaks are!"
"You rang?" A voice piped up. "Pretty sad you gotta mess with a couple of kids to find us."
All eyes turned towards the one who had spoken, the little turtle still on the roof looking absolutely relieved. "Raphie!" She saw her big brothers step forward and noticed there were only three of them – where was Leo? "You're gonna get your butts kicked now, you big ol' meanie-heads!"
Raphael licked his lips in anticipation. "Let's do this…."
Weapons were immediately drawn and the battle exploded into play; the ones holding onto the turtle tot, began moving backwards, trying to escape with her. They knew if they got the little mutant to Master Shredder, they would be rewarded greatly.
"I don't think so, Dudes…" Michelangelo was suddenly behind them, his nunchucks whirling as he glared at them. "You're not taking my sister. Not today."
Danceingfae shrunk a little, as she had never seen her brother in orange look so angry; seeing him take down the Foot Soldiers, had her struggling harder against the ones who held her. "LET ME GO!" She stamped on their feet and fought for all she was worth, finally breaking free. Scurrying towards her brother, she ducked behind him, just narrowly escaping the hands that were trying to grab her once more.
Michelangelo fought harder than he ever had before; they were not getting his little sister, not if he could help it. They had already tossed one aside like yesterday's trash, and he would be damned if he let the same happen to the tot behind him. Back flipping out of the way, he snatched the little one up as he did so. "Hold on," he instructed, as he pressed her against his plastron. Feeling her arms latch around his neck, he used both his chucks to quickly take out the remaining Foot that were advancing towards him. Soon as they were down, he placed an arm under his sister, to help keep her in place. "We're getting out of here…"
Donatello took down some Purple Dragons, as he hurried to where his brother in orange stood with the little one. "We better move. They may not be down long."
"Raph! Let's go!" Michelangelo called out to the red wearing turtle.
Raphael growled as he knocked Hun flying. "You ever touch my sisters again, and I will kill you!" Joining his brothers, the three of them quickly vacated the area with their little sister.
"Lenni…." Danceingfae cried as they escaped. "They threw her…."
"Leo's got her," Raphael cut her off. "She's fine."
"Though, maybe not once Master Splinter gets a hold of her…." Donatello shook his head. "You girls have a lot of explaining to do."
