Marlene woke up to the sight of Nasku the Ninja staring down at her. "Uh... You need something buddy?" Marlene asked, a bit creeped out. "It is now our turn. You are ten seconds late." Nasku said with a very serious tone. "Shit! My bad!" Marlene said as She hopped out of the chair and headed out to the Arena with Nasku. "Alright folks, this time We have a Newcomer v. Newcomer match! In our left corner We have Marlene Krueger who destroyed Casey Elvelt with an amazing comeback!" The crowd roared with cheers for Marlene, it turned out that they were impressed with her performance. "And in the right corner We have Nasku Goki! Apparently He is some sort of Ninja who thinks He's got what it takes to take down everybody." The Crowd had some cheers, but there were also a bunch of loud cheers from some clan members in the audience. "Start the battle!" The Announcer said, commencing the fight. Marlene and Nasku ran at each other and both of them launched a punch that ended up clashing.
Marlene saw this and tried to sweep Nasku's legs, however Nasku hopped over her sweep and dropkicked Marlene while He was midair. Marlene landed on her back, but quickly got back up. "Come at Me more, Krueger." Nasku said, taking a strange stance. Marlene smirked and ran at Nasku, however instead of launching any specific attack she charged into Nasku, knocking him onto the ground. "Get up ninja dude. We got more to do before this is over, I'm sure." Marlene said. "My name is Nasku... I already told You this." Nasku said as He carefully got up and dusted himself off. Marlene started running toward Nasku again, however Nasku actually flipped over Marlene and launched several rapid punches against Marlene's back. Surprisingly enough though, Marlene turned around and slammed her fist into Nasku's cheek. "You holding back or somethin'? Those punches weren't really that good." Marlene remarked, looking at Nasku in confusion. "I never hold back. I am doing my best." Nasku said, clenching his fist in anger.
Nasku charged toward Marlene and tried to chop her neck, however Marlene caught his hand and slammed her palm into his neck causing Nasku to freeze up in pain for a moment. "You sure You want to continue the fight, Naski?" Marlene asked. "My name is Nasku. Not Naski. I entered to win, so I will beat You!" Nasku said as He ran toward Marlene again. Marlene tripped Nasku and leaped onto his back, pinning him down. "Come on dude, just give up. You had a good start, but You're pathetic now." Marlene said. "I am a Goki Clan Member, We do not give up." Nasku said as He struggled to get out of Marlene's grasp. Marlene began thinking to herself for a moment. "Maybe I should hold back for a bit... Let this guy impress his Clanmates and stuff." Marlene thought. "Yeah that's perfect. Means I don't have to work as hard either." Marlene loosened her grip on Nasku and He broke loose. "See? I'm not done yet." Nasku said as He began running toward Marlene yet again. This time Nasku did a running dropkick.
Marlene let the kick hit her in the stomach, but also caught his legs with her hands and threw him away. "Strange. You're doing better." Marlene lied. "I told You the Goki Clan doesn't surrender!" Nasku said as He took a strange stance. "And now I will show You my Clan's special move just to show You how outclassed You truly are!" Nasku exclaimed as a bright white light appeared in Nasku's right hand. "Eh? What's that?" Marlene asked, actually confused. "This is... The Senpukotoimutosido Wave!" Nasku responded, firing an extremely thin white beam at Marlene. "Okay might actually want to dodge that." Marlene thought to herself as She quickly moved out of the way. The beam hit an arena wall and exploded on impact. Nasku kneeled and was out of breath, it appeared as if it took all of his energy to use the beam. "Nasko come on. You gotta have something left over." Marlene said, slowly approaching Nasku. Nasku got up and staggered toward Marlene, placing his hands on her shoulders.
He gripped her shoulders very tightly and said "My name is Nasku. Not Naski, Not Ninja Dude, and not Nasko. Get that straight." as He did one very weak headbutt on Marlene and passed out. "It seems that Nasku the Ninja wasn't as great as The Goki Clan claimed, Marlene Krueger is yet again the winner!" The Announcer exclaimed. The crowd roared with applause and Marlene kneeled down next to Nasku. "Ya know... I can't help but feel bad for him." Marlene said, taking one last look at Nasku before heading to the waiting room again.
Marlene entered the waiting room and was stopped by a Staff member. "Sorry Miss Krueger but somebody is using Your chair right now." The Staff Member said. "Eh?! Who the hell is using my chair?" Marlene asked. "It's Tuger. He's refusing to get up." The Staff Member explained. Marlene was mad since She had just gotten used to that chair, and headed over to see who this 'Tuger' was. "Alright who the... hell..." Marlene quickly stopped speaking when She saw Tuger. He was enormous, at least 8'0 tall and super muscular. So muscular that it was almost like He wasn't human. "Ah, well if it isn't Marlene Krueger. I've been waiting for You to show up." Tuger said, looking down at her. "How did You... get..." Marlene couldn't even finish her sentence. "Get Your chair? Eh it was open so I sat here." Tuger responded. "What? No. How did You get so big?" Marlene asked, quickly snapping herself out of shock. "Big? You trying to say I'm fat or something?" Tuger asked, his smirk quickly becoming a frown.
"Woah, Woah, no. I mean You're super tall and buff." Marlene clarified. Tuger quickly started smiling again. "Well that's just because I'm naturally gitted!" Tuger responded confidently. "You... Mean gifted?" Marlene asked. Tuger froze for a second. "Yeah gifted. That's what I said." Tuger said, smirking. "Anywho, take Your dumb chair. I got people to stomp then We can fight." Tuger said, getting out of Marlene's chair and heading to the Arena. "I... Am not looking forward to that fight." Marlene said, sitting in her chair and sinking down into it due to Tuger's weight making a massive imprint. Nasku walked into the room and began to walk by Marlene. "Hey! Nasku!" Marlene said, trying to get his attention. In response, He turned to her. "I know a guy who can help You get stronger. He charges money, but He is a pretty good instructor. I can tell You where He is if You want." Marlene offered. "I... Will think about it, Krueger." Nasku responded, exiting the waiting room.
After that short encounter, Marlene proceeded to take a nap so She'd be well rested for the battle against Tuger. Will Marlene be able to beat that gigantic brute? Or will Tuger stomp Marlene like the rest of the competition? Find out next time on Dragon Ball: Lifelines!
