As everyone re-entered the great hall, Team Healer began taking stock. Injuries were assessed and treated if necessary.

Elisa was sitting on the edge of a cot as her various bumps, bruises and scrapes tended to. She was still trying to process that it was over, but even though everything with Apate seemed to be well and truly over, she still had an uneasy feeling.

Maybe it was the storm, Elisa mused. They'd had a brief reprieve …somewhat… during the fight with Apate, though how much of that had been natural and how much had been some kind of supernatural intervention was unclear. All Elisa knew was that the moment the last of them had crossed the threshold, the wind and rain had begun in earnest.

"The girl will be fine," Doctor James said, wiping an arm over his brow. "She's sleeping. Deeply. But she's reacting to pain stimulus and all of her stats are good across the board."

"Good," Elisa said with a sigh. "Let me know when she wakes up. I'd like a chance to talk to her."

"Get in line," Doctor James muttered, before moving on to begin the process of disposing of the things that were not reusable and repacking the items that were.

In all honesty, she'd had enough supernatural stuff for the day, so she wasn't even going to ask.

"Elisa?"

Elisa looked up to the concerned face of Skyler.

"Skyler," Elisa greeted the petite woman. "How's Brooklyn?"

"He's fine," Skyler said, sounding uneasy. "Seriously, he's fine and he shouldn't be. His arm was broken and…" she waved those thoughts away. "He was really hurt. They all were," Skyler gestured around the room, "even if you'd never be able to tell it by looking at them now."

Elisa looked, and sure enough, the gargoyles and the smattering of New Olympians (most of whom Elisa hadn't met yet) were talking. Some were animatedly relaying information from the fight, while some were more sedately holding conversations.

"But that's not what I came to talk to you about," Skyler said softly. "I did a head count, and…"

There was a commotion in the hallway as Liam's voice preceded him into the room, "Hey guys?" he called out. "Does anyone have a big can opener?"

"Very entertaining," came a sarcastic reply.

Elisa turned to stare as Liam wheeled in a very beat up Steel Clan robot. The truth hit her just a beat before Fox began running for the dented and sparking form.

"Xanatos?" Elisa burst out.

"Greetings, detective," his voice sounded hollowly from the confines of the damaged suit. "I am afraid that I may be in need of assistance."

Goliath strode forward. "Allow me," he said, and inserted his claws into an already made gash and slowly, with an ease that still left Elisa in awe, he slowly peeled the metal away from David Xanatos's body inside. Piece by piece was removed until only the helmet remained.

Goliath took a little extra time with that process, taking great care to take it off without further injury to the man inside.

When the faceplate was finally able to be removed and the focus was shifted to the removal of the rest, Xanatos took a deep breath.

"Thank you for the assist, Goliath," Xanatos said. "It was getting a little…stale… in there."

"Alright," Skyler said softly, calling Elisa's attention back. "That's one that was missing, but there's still two more."

"Two more…what?" Elisa asked. "Missing?"

"Unaccounted for," Skyler nodded.

"Who else?" Elisa asked, sliding her damp jacket back up her arms.

"Maggie and Claw," Skyler said quietly. "No one has seen them since the fight ended."

Elisa searched and found Talon who was looking around the room frantically. She waved him over and he hurried to her side.

"When did you last see Maggie and Claw?" Elisa asked briskly.

"Just before I was knocked out cold." Talon replied.

Elisa nodded, then raised her voice. "I know you're all probably tired and want to rest for a while, but we've got a few of our own missing."

As the others hurried to get closer, Elisa relayed the information. She looked at her watch. Because the storm was blocking any and all light at the moment, she only just realized the time.

"We have an hour," Elisa said. "One hour before sunrise. Let's go find our lost and make sure they are alright."

Goliath nodded and began dividing up the clans. The New Olympians wouldn't be much help since they didn't know the layout of the castle, but they split up and each chose a group to follow in case their aid were needed.

Within minutes, a group had found the pair huddled at the top of one of the towers. Both were injured badly, but Claw was the worst of the pair. Maggie, visibly exhausted and looking worse for the wear, suffered from a strained wing strut that had kept her grounded.

Claw was unconscious and, according to Maggie, had been that way since they had both been struck with the same blow that had initially hurt Talon.

Afraid to leave him and unable to fly, Maggie had stayed with her fallen friend.

The gargoyles carefully transported the pair to the makeshift medical station where a frantic Violet was pushed out of the way so that Margaret and Doctor James could have a look.

"Possible break, right arm. Open fracture to the right leg, skin broken and bleeding profusely," Margaret called out, and with one hand above the injury to apply pressure, she was already reaching for a supply bag and tossing its contents. Finding a large package of gauze pads, she tore the thing open by gripping one corner with her teeth and pulling with her free hand. As the cellophane top peeled away, she took a handful and pressed it on the gaping wound.

"Abdomen's rigid," Doctor James said grimly. "We've got internal bleeding here. We need to get him down to the medical floor."

Violet, hearing the extent of her father's injuries, was already on the move. With internal bleeding and an open fracture already almost an hour old, moving him again was not only dangerous but unwise.

She grabbed the handle of her protective case and hurried back to the group.

"Here," she said breathless from fear, worry and the mad dash back and forth across the hall. She opened the case and all but shoved the syringe into the doctor's hands.

"Is that the last one?" Dominik Vaussier asked, sounding almost horrified. "But we won't have any left to use… Ow!"

Violet didn't look up or acknowledge the outburst. She knew what using this last dose on her father would cost. Not just in money, but in the sheer amount of hours in manpower.

"We'll reschedule the meetings," Dannika hissed to her brother who was still rubbing his shoulder where she'd slapped at him. "We have our notes and the experience to replicate it. Now shut up."

Doctor James, having witnessed the effect the syringe's contents had earlier that evening, didn't think twice. He took it and expertly slid the needle home, pressing the plunger home and sending the healing contents into his patient.

"We have to hurry," he said, handing the now empty syringe back to Violet. "If this thing works as fast on him as it did with Talon, we need to get those bones realigned before they begin to heal crooked." He looked at the gargoyles then, "I may need your help. I need someone to hold him down, because this is going to hurt like hell. Then I could use some added strength to help me pull and reset the leg."

As a unit, the clan hurried forward to aid their fallen friend. While Claw had been unconscious to that point, the pain of having his limbs pulled so that the bones could be realigned woke him and while he had no voice to scream, he gave a mighty whoosh of breath and tried to swing his good limbs to fight off his tormentors.

"A little more… there," Doctor James instructed and grabbed a pair of splints to brace the limbs. "Got 'em. If that miracle cure works like it did earlier, in a few minutes we can take him down the elevator and put him in some actual casts until we know those bones have set."

Claw was panting on the floor, eyes wide and looking more than a little dazed.

Violet took his hand and squeezed. Yes, their relationship had been more than a little strained, but she wasn't ready to lose him. She gave a soft sob when she felt the answering squeeze.

Fox came back into the room then, her phone held in the air. "Violet, I was just notified that your brother is downstairs. Because of the, shall we say 'disturbance', up here, he was asked to remain in the lobby area. He didn't like that, so he is cooling his heels with security. Shen is on the phone," Fox said, handing the portable handset to Violet. "He's asking to speak to you, Violet."

Violet sent Fox a pleading look, and shook her head. She was exhausted and more than a little emotional right that moment.

Fox lifted the handset back to her ear. "Violet is a little busy at the moment, Shen. Yes. Send him up."

Grateful, Violet bent over her father's form and waited with the others to see just how much her healing enhancement serum worked.
