Chapter 3

Kelly beeped her car horn, and Haley came out of her house with an infectious smile on her.

"Hey!" Haley shouted.

"Want to go for a walk in the woods?" asked Kelly.

"Sure, what's up Ironman daddy being an aft?" Haley asked.

"We had that same fight," Kelly remarked as they walked into the woods.

Haley frowned.

"How can he be so narrow-minded? I mean Thor, God of thunder, and Loki, the God of mischief, plus hello Wanda, Vision, and Banner being grrrr The Hulk. I bet he's jealous because you have hero issues with someone else," Haley replied.

Kelly frowned.

"What?" Haley asked.

"I had that dream again," Kelly said.

Haley glanced over at her friend.

"Where you have powers protecting Optimus Prime?" she asked.

"Yeah," Kelly said as she stuck her slender hands into her front jeans pockets. "I mean, it's so vivid like crazy the same thing happens, and the crazy thing is I have the same powers as Wanda. Plus, this peculiar being not sure what it is; it looks like a silhouette of a man, but he has fire for hands, and it's just creepy," Kelly said.

"Did you tell your dad?" Haley asked as Kelly's expression said it all.

Silence...

"Are you kidding? Seriously, Hals? He never listens to this type of stuff; besides, he'll just say that it's a dream," Kelly remarked.

Haley sighed as they continued to walk in the woods, going deeper.

"What if this dream means something, Hals?" Kelly asked.

"Then maybe we should try to see if we're supposed to find him," Haley said.

Kelly couldn't help but allow a sigh to escape her lips.

"How do we find him, Hals? I'm not even certain this is a dream or what it is," Kelly questioned.

"Because you're being shown the same things over and over again, it has to mean something," Haley replied firmly.

Kelly thought about it.

"Alright, but we're going to have to keep this between us; no one can know," Kelly insisted.

"Operation sneakiness, I love it!" Haley exclaimed as they bumped fists.

Silence...

"Hey, why don't you come to stay over at my house tonight?" Haley offered.

Kelly smirked.

"To hang out and make plans?" Kelly asked.

"You know it!" Haley exclaimed.

"Okay, let's go back to Avengers headquarters, and I will pack up a duffle bag, Okay?" Kelly replied.

Haley smirked then.

"Let's go back to the car," Haley said.

"Alright," Kelly replied.

However, as the two girls walked away in the open field, the spinning shields appeared, and out of them came Optimus Prime stopping and suddenly transforming.

"Where am I?" Optimus asked as he suddenly was confused and scared.

The worn-out and disillusioned Autobot Commander didn't know what he would do because he had no way off Earth, and he knew Cemetery Wind would never leave him alone. He lost so much. He lost friends, allies, and family all because they protected him.

"Primus, please help me," Optimus kept saying over and over again, wanting and needing help anyone's help.

Kelly stopped a minute, something within her urging her to go back. Haley had been talking but stopped when Kelly stood immobile.

"Kelly?" Haley asked.

Silence...

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I...I don't know; I feel this strong urge to go back where we were," Kelly replied.

"Okay, let's go," Haley stated as they headed back.

Both girls froze in their tracks when they saw Optimus Prime; he looked so sad.

"He is real," Haley whispered as she saw Kelly walking toward him unafraid.

"Optimus?" Kelly questioned as his helm snapped up his bright azure optics locked with the human femme.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"My name is Kelly, and this is my friend Haley," she replied.

Optimus nodded as Kelly walked closer.

"How did you get here?" she asked.

"I do not know; I was on a regular road. I do not know how I got here; humans were hunting me," Optimus explained.

Kelly glanced at Haley then back toward the terrified Autobot leader.

"Cemetery Wind, right?" Haley asked.

"Yes," Optimus answered, his optics still locked with Kelly.

"You're safe here, and this is a different dimension from yours," Kelly said.

"Kelly will protect you, and so will I," Haley remarked as Optimus frowned but slowly nodded.

"Alright," he said softly.

"Did they hurt you physically?" Kelly asked.

"Slight injuries. I am exhausted more than anything else," Optimus replied as Kelly nodded.

"Can you transform?" Kelly asked.

"Yes, I can activate my holoform as well," Optimus said.

"Alright, I think that may be the best thing to do regardless of anything else, mostly because we don't want anyone knowing about you," Kelly said.

Optimus nodded and quickly transformed. Haley touched Kelly's shoulder as Optimus activated his holoform.

"My family's cabin in the woods we can keep him there; my family is gone, so it belongs to me now anyway," Haley said.

Kelly nodded then.

"We make sure you're safe," Kelly said. "Follow us; we'll take you there," Kelly said as the girls went into his vehicle form, and Haley gave him directions to the cabin.

And possibly a new life.
