A/N: So I think it's clear, none of you like Kathy and her current antics, but I did warn you that things were going to get bumpy and well…it's on the rise.
Sorry for the delay between chapters lovely readers, life has been kind of crazy and still is but I'm on school holidays now and between writing job applications, I'm writing these chapters for you. I've got a couple written and just need to get edited, so hopefully I'll give you some extra chapters whilst on holiday. Lockdowns mean I can't really go anywhere so perfect writing time.
Let me know what you think of this chapter :)

9. Meetings

In all the times that Elliot had woken up with Olivia, she was always the first one to be awake and often lately, she'd been out of bed before he was even up. However, today was different. The events of last night must have really worn Olivia out as Elliot was the first awake. He couldn't hear Chloe, so he assumed the little girl would still be asleep or at least entertaining herself. Elliot lay on his side, stroking the side of Olivia's face with his thumb, admiring her beauty. Olivia was so incredibly beautiful and he honestly felt like the luckiest man in the world to be able to have her to himself. He wasn't sure what he had done in the world to be quite so lucky but he never wanted to take this foregranted. He was going to stay true to his world, he was going to push for this divorce to go through, because he really wanted to marry Olivia and spend the rest of his life with her. Elliot watched her eyes start to flutter open and felt her hand over his on her cheek. He just loved waking up next to her.

"Good morning" Olivia smiled at Elliot who just leant down and pressed a soft kiss on her lips.
"Good morning" Elliot echoed in response, staying leaning over Olivia, just a little.
"How'd you sleep?" Olivia asked.
"Fine and you?" Elliot smiled, he had honestly slept better with Olivia next to him, then he had for a while.
"Pretty perfectly if I do say so myself. How long have you been awake?" Olivia asked and Elliot saw the worry on her face that she'd slept in way longer than intended.
"Not too long, Chloe isn't awake yet I don't think, I haven't heard her"
"She's been sleeping in longer lately, I think she's growing and therefore needs extra sleep"
"Well, gives us more of an excuse to not get out of bed just yet then" Elliot teased as he leant down and kissed her softly again before drawing the sheets up over them.

Elliot spend the majority of his Sunday with Olivia and Chloe. He called to check in on the twins a couple of times but was told by Bertie that they were perfectly fine and happy, so he didn't need to rush home any time soon. Apparently, Bertie was going to be taking them to the Cinema today, which Elliot knew they would absolutely love. It also gave him a chance to spend a bit more time with Olivia and Chloe, really focusing on Chloe in particular. Chloe had woken up later than usual but had been fully of energy when she did. Chloe was really excited by the fact that Elliot was still there when she woke up and that he was going to spend more time with them during the day. Elliot hoped that Chloe never lost the excitement she had when he was there, and hoped that there would come a day soon, when he would always be there when she woke up in the morning. Elliot hoped he could convince Olivia to move in with him and the twins, one day soon. Elliot knew that she'd already had a conversation in the past with the twins about her moving in and Olivia expressed that she didn't feel there was enough space in his apartment for them all, but that could be fixed quite easily. If there wasn't enough space where he lived now, then maybe they could find a new place together to live.

Olivia, Elliot and Chloe decided that with the weather today being really nice and actually rather clear, they would venture outside the apartment to the park, to feed the ducks. Chloe loved being able to show Elliot where they went to feed the ducks, she pointed out almost every individual duck to her father and Elliot had listened intently whilst Chloe tried to communicate to him about every duck. It was like Chloe was best friends with almost every individual duck and she knew everything about them. Olivia on the other hand, stood back a bit and took in the moment, providing Elliot with a quiet moment with his daughter. Olivia just loved watching the way these two interacted, Elliot was so interested in everything that Chloe was doing and saying. Olivia loved how close Elliot and Chloe were now and that they had a really special relationship. She couldn't help but smile at the thought about how she had found a new love and happiness with Elliot, whilst Chloe had been able to find a father, who loved and cared for her the exact way a father should.

After all the bread was gone and it was clear the ducks didn't need to be fed anymore, the trio had moved in the direction of the playground, to get rid of some of Chloe's endless energy and excitement over today. Elliot had followed Chloe everywhere she went on the playground and pushed her on the swings for ages. He was very careful to push her as high as he felt was safe for her, even when she had asked him to go higher over and over again. Olivia had left them for a couple of minutes to go and grab a coffee for her and Elliot whilst also grabbing a juice for Chloe. Olivia really tried to restrict the sugary fruit juices and things she gave Chloe, btu today was a special treat and she had forgotten to grab the little girl's water bottle at home before they left. Today, felt incredibly natural and the only real thing missing for the group was the twins, Olivia felt like they should have been with everyone at the park but sadly, they were unable to be today.

When the time to leave rolled around, Elliot hadn't wanted to go. He would be heading back to his place whilst Olivia and Chloe went home to theirs and he didn't want to leave them and the perfect feeling they brought with spending time together. Whilst Elliot knew that he had other kids to head home to be with but that didn't make leaving his girls any easier, especially with how magical the past almost 24 hours had been.
Elliot hated how sad Chloe had been when they were leaving the park and he said goodbye. He knew that Chloe would be alright once they were on their way and he was out of sight but he hated that he had to leave at all. It just gave him more motivation to get the divorce processed, Kathy would be out of his close circle and then he would never have to leave Chloe and Olivia.

Across town, Sunday had given Kathy a spare day considering Bernie asked her not to come to look after the twins or to the movies today. Bernie wanted a day that was just her and her grandchildren, Kathy didn't find this fair as the older woman was supposed to be helping her get close to her kids again. She wasn't going to fight it though. Instead, Kathy had spent the day organising her week, there were several things that simply had to change and only she could make sure that they happened. Firstly, Elliot had been too distracted lately and not as focused on his business as he used to be. Kathy had made contact with several of his business partners that she still had connections to and they had told her about how Elliot had been taking a lot of time off lately and missing several of their meetings for different reasons, they also didn't seem to be able to re-schedule a meeting with him. Kathy had even heard about how the new Florida and Toronto hotels were behind schedule in regard to their development due to some changes that Elliot had requested at last minute. This was not the type of man she knew Elliot to be but Kathy could clearly see that Elliot's new relationship with a certain school teacher had been distracting him from what was really important here.

The Elliot she had known and fallen in love with all those years ago was very business focused and determined to make the best future he could for his family. The man she was hearing about now, was not that same man. Instead, he seemed to be more focused on spending time with Olivia and her brat of a kid than his business or own children. Kathy knew that she had to step in and she had to change that, Kathy had to convince Elliot that work was important and the family and business needed to come first. He didn't have time to be off with some other woman and playing happily family with her kid.

Kathy knew that to get Elliot convinced again on what was important, she had to remove any unnecessary distractions from him. More specifically, she had to make sure to get rid of a certain school teacher. She knew that it was highly inappropriate for her children's teacher to be dating someone else's husband. There was no place at such an elite private school, like the one her children went to, for such an inappropriate teacher. Especially when she was so obviously breaking a large amount of the rules the school upheld for its staff, through this relationship with a parent. Kathy was honestly surprised that no one at the school had done anything about it yet and she was going to be talking to the principal on Monday in regards to this, after dropping the kids off. Whilst Kathy didn't have an appointment to this, she knew there was no real way the school would turn down a concerned parent when she shared with them what she knew. Kathy could quite easily get Olivia fired from school or at the very least, transferred elsewhere so that she wasn't around the children and her husband. If she got Olivia out of the picture, then Kathy knew that Elliot would be more focused and she could hopefully put her family back together from this horrible mess. Kathy was sure that if she removed all the obvious distractions and temptations for Elliot and the twins then she could easily get everything back to the way it was before.

The car ride to school on Monday morning was tense, Elliot had been taken back by Kathy being there ready for the school drop off trip. She'd not told him that she would be there and neither had his mother. Richard was happy to see Kathy though and excited to show her his classroom before school. Elizabeth was a little distant but Elliot just kept the little girl close to him, asking her about what she was most looking forward to doing at school today. Kathy had explained to the group that she would pick them up this afternoon as well and take them to their usual afternoon activities, allowing Elliot to stay at work. Elliot didn't understand what this woman was trying to play at, he was very cautious as to what would happen next.

"Kathy, why are you here?" Elliot asked across the car as they rode to school.
"I can't drop my kids off at school this morning? You do it every morning and I thought we could all be there today. Besides, I have a meeting at school I have to go to" Kathy replied.
"With who? Is it my teacher or Lizzie's?" Richard asked and Elliot felt his heart jump in his chest, he hoped it wasn't Olivia as he'd not been told about a meeting. He didn't think that Olivia would have a meeting with Kathy without him, especially if it was about Elizabeth and she would have told him if they had a meeting.
"Neither, it's actually with Mr Harrison" Kathy replied.
"The principal? Why are you having a meeting with our principal?" Elizabeth asked as Elliot stayed quiet but he was really confused by Kathy's actions now. He'd not been told in advance that there was a meeting with the principal.
"Well, Mr Harrison wants to talk with me about a few things at school. Don't worry, you're not in trouble but as your teachers are very busy people and I cannot meet with them, I am meeting with Mr Harrison instead" Kathy tried to explain before changing the conversation again to Dickie and his basketball game later this week. Elliot didn't know what Kathy was trying to get at but he didn't like the sound of her having a meeting with the principal without him knowing.
"Am I expected to be at this meeting? Because Kathy you know I have a board meeting this morning" Elliot asked
"No, I knew you would be very busy so I scheduled this meeting by myself, don't worry, I'll let you know if there is anything to talk about" Kathy smiled sweetly but Elliot didn't feel relief in that. In fact he felt more concerned about what she was going to try and do. He just had to hope that it was nothing major and this would be nothing more than a simple meeting.

Many walked into 2B with a concerned look on her face, Olivia figured she was coming in to talk about something they were teaching today and had a question in regards to it. However, that was not the reason that Mandy had come into the classroom at all. Many had been in a meeting with Rod Harrison, the school principal when a woman who addressed herself as 'Kathy Stabler' barged in and demanded a meeting. Many had no idea what was going on but from the look on this woman's face, she had to tell someone about this meeting as there could only be trouble from it. The meeting was either going to be about Richard or Elizabeth, so Olivia had to know to be prepared.
"Mandy? What's wrong?" Olivia asked, as she looked up from her desk.
"So, Mr Stabler's wife is back?" Mandy asked quizzically.
"Uh yes, she apparently came back last week, Elizabeth has been really unsettled by it. How's Dickie?" Olivia asked, wondering what his reaction had been.
"He's fine, in fact, he's been rather excited that his mother has returned. But Mrs Stabler – Kathy, is currently having a meeting with Rod" Mandy explained.
"What?" Olivia asked, dropping her pen from her hand, she was listening closely now.
"I was in a meeting with Rod about one of the boys in my class and Kathy comes barging in demanding a meeting. Has something happened?" Mandy asked, like Olivia would know exactly what was going on.
"Was Mr Stabler, Elliot there too?"
"Nope, just his wife"
"I'm sure it's nothing, maybe now that she's back in their lives, she wants to get brought up to speed on how they're going"
"But wouldn't that be more a question to ask us?"
"Mandy, I have no idea. As far as I've heard from Elizabeth, her mother is back and that makes her feel sad but I haven't heard anything else. Elliot stabler has not written or requested a meeting in person with me about anything, so clearly this can't be too major? Surely if there was something going on, we'd be having a meeting?" Olivia tried to encourage the other woman. Whilst it felt like her heart was pounding outside of her chest, she had to remain calm and act like there was nothing else going on as no-one at school knew about her and Elliot's relationship. Mandy nodded and apologised for the interruption but Olivia shook her head and thanked her for letting her know.

O: Are you having a meeting with the principal? Apparently, Kathy is here is here this morning Olivia texted to Elliot the minute that Mandy was out of sight, she had to know what was going on.
E: No, Kathy apparently scheduled it without me as she knew I have a meeting this morning. I don't know what it is about either as she only told me about it this morning when she came to drop the kids off. Don't worry, whatever it is and whatever happens, we'll work it out xxx Elliot quickly replied and she knew she couldn't reply to him now as he had said he had a meeting. But Olivia knew that she couldn't rest until it was all sorted out. There was nothing she could think of that Kathy would cause issues for her about. Elliot and Olivia had stayed away from each other when Kathy was around…except for the museum. But Olivia couldn't be blamed for that, as they were in public and Elizabeth had been the one to approach her. It's probably nothing, nobody knows about you and Elliot, you've kept that private and Kathy is probably just having a meeting to check on her children Olivia tried to calm herself down, she still had a long day of teaching to get through and she couldn't let her concentration slip today.

A/N: Hmm, Kathy having a meeting with the principal…this may not end well? But maybe it's nothing right? I guess we'll have to wait and see. She is certainly on the war path now! Leave me a review and let me know what you think of this chapter!
Until Next Time ;)
