[The three Eds are walking, sweating and panting.]
Eddy: "Guys let's turn back, we've been walking for hours."
Ed: "But Nat is still gone."
Edd: "We haven't found Nat Eddy."
Eddy: "But I'm tired."
[Edd turns to face Eddy]
Edd: "It is our duty to help her."
[Eddy scowls]
Eddy: "What happened to her wasn't our fault!"
Edd: "So you're saying it was hers?!"
Eddy: "That's not what I meant!"
Edd: "Then what did you mean exactly?!"
Eddy: "Forget it! I'm going back!"
[Eddy turns to walk away]
Edd: "Fine! So be it!"
[Eddy walks away while Edd and Ed walk forward, as Eddy walks he suddenly stops and looks back, as he sees them walking away his face softens.]
Eddy: "Guys wait!"
[Edd and Ed stop as Eddy catches up.]
Eddy: "I'm sorry ok?"
[Edd and Ed face Eddy]
Eddy: "It's just that being nice is still new to me since I'm used to being a jerk."
[Ed hugs Eddy]
Ed: "You're still my friend Eddy!"
Eddy: "That's...great...Ed."
[Ed let's go of Eddy]
Edd: "It's alright Eddy, however I would still like to know what you meant."
Eddy: "What I meant was that Nat doesn't need our help because she can handle herself."
Edd: "That may be true but we should still look for her to make sure she is alright for she could be hurt or worse!"
[Edd starts to tear up]
Edd: "And if anything were to happen to her..."
[Tears start rolling down Edd's face, Ed starts to tear up as well, Eddy places a hand on Edd's shoulder]
Edd: "We have to find the girl I love Eddy."
Eddy: "We'll find her Double D."
Edd: "You will come with us?"
Eddy: "Yes, even if it means I have to face my bro again, finding Nat is worth it."
[Edd smiles]
Ed: "So beautiful!"
[Ed hugs Edd and Eddy]
Eddy and Edd: "Can't...breathe...Ed!"
[Nat is doing all the things she did in her room: she's swinging on vines, smelling the flowers, and swimming by the waterfall, overall having the time of her life.]
Nat: "Oh Daisy I'm having so much fun!"
[Daisy points at the collar around Nat's neck, Nat looks confused for a moment but then feels her neck.]
Nat: "Oh this? I'm not sure why I'm wearing it...maybe I should take it off."
[Nat removes her collar, when she does Daisy stares with a shocked expression, Nat notices.]
Nat: "Daisy? Are you ok?"
[Daisy doesn't move]
Nat: "What's wrong?"
[Daisy just points, Nat stares confused and decides to look at her reflection in the water, when she does she is shocked.]
Nat: "What?! What happened to me?!"
[Nat suddenly looks off into the distance, after a few minutes of doing so she starts to cry.]
Nat: "No...I've blocked that out for so long."
[Daisy suddenly approaches Nat, she looks at her concerned.]
Nat: "I-I'd rather not talk about it."
[Daisy leans her head on Nat's lap, giving her a pleading look.]
Nat: "...Ok."
[Nat takes a deep breath, she points to her neck.]
Nat: "I have history with this, history that scarred me for life."
[Nat wipes her tears]
Nat: "When I was small girl I lived in a quiet neighborhood and had this really good friend...or so I thought
You see when "this" happened to me I ended up wearing a scarf to cover it due to shame
When my friend asked me why I wore a scarf all the time I told him I would tell him but he had to promise not to tell anyone, which he did
As I showed him he ended up running away from me
When I went outside the next day I saw that everyone in the neighborhood was outside and staring at me
I just stood there confused but as I was doing so my friend came up from behind me and pushed me to the ground
After doing so he pulled my scarf off and exposed my neck to everybody
Everyone looked at me with horror like I was some creature or parasite
Afterwards they all started yelling things at me such as calling me a freak and not fit to roam the earth
Then as I lay there crying the kids came over to me and started kicking me while I was on the ground
[Nat starts to cry again]
My parents ended up coming outside to help me and they brought me inside
But because of that day all I did after that was stay inside my house where it was safe and constantly asked myself what I did wrong."
[Daisy starts to cry as well]
Nat: "So now you know."
[Daisy nods as Nat puts her collar back on.]
Nat: "Since I was depressed all the time my parents constantly stayed home to comfort me, as a result my mother taught me self defense and my father taught me kindness."
[Nat sighs]
Nat: "But unfortunately since they spent so much time at my side, they spent less time at work which caused our funds to decrease...and so it came to a point where they couldn't afford the house anymore and we had to move."
[Daisy simply listens with fascination, Nat then chuckles.]
Nat: "Y'know, I didn't think I'd be telling all this to a monkey."
[Daisy scowls]
Nat: "But from what I've seen, you're a very special monkey."
[Daisy smiles]
[Nat smiles but then frowns]
Nat: "Now I know that I don't live here, which means I should go back."
[Nat hugs her knees]
Nat: "But what good have I done being there?"
