Rosemary's POV:
Hello, my name is Rosemary Whites. I was transferred to a school I don't know the name of in Japan from a place I've forgotten. To be honest, I don't remember where I was born. I also can't remember any of my family members. The only thing I know is that my name is American. I'm currently in class right now. I don't know what the teacher, or (as my classmates like to call her Ms. Oka), is talking about, but I know it's pretty boring. Suddenly, I hear someone calling my name.
"Whites-Chan! Can you answer this question for me please?" The teacher called. I was pulled from my daydream and I don't remember what the question was.
"What was the question again…?" I asked. I could hear a girl named Meirei quietly snicker somewhere in the room.
"Oh! The question was-" before the teacher could finish her sentence, I suddenly blacked out.
When I woke up, I saw that everything around me was dark. I don't mind the darkness though. If it meant that I don't have to go to classes and an opportunity to rest without any disruptions, I'm fine with it. However, I kind of feel claustrophobic here. There isn't much room to move and everything is pitch black.
I can't seem to open my eyes either. I tried to speak, the only thing that came out of my mouth was quiet growls. I tried again, but the same thing happened. It seems that I can still hear because I heard some noises outside of whatever place I'm in. I heard people speaking in an unfamiliar language, a loud roar, and a sound that sounded vaguely metallic. And after half an hour, I heard blood splatter. After that, I heard footsteps that seemed to get closer and closer.
Are they going to kill me? Well, it doesn't really matter. Being alive is overrated anyway. Being human is overrated. It seems like I died during a lesson. Was it Classical Japanese? I don't remember.
They picked me up and I heard even more footsteps. Were they running? Suddenly a female voice spoke. "You have 100 skill points. Get the skill Appraisal for 100 skill points?" What is appraisal? "Appraisal is a skill that allows you to know information about something you appraise." Oh. Then yes if it helps my situation right now. "You've gained a skill: Appraisal. Skill points: 0"
Let's try this new skill while I'm still stuck in here to gain new information. I doubt it would do any good though. I appraise what's in front of me. "Egg" "…" That's completely useless. Kind of. Why did I want to appraise what's in front of me again?
I then heard a male voice scream. But why does the voice sound familiar? I was then dropped. I think… all of this is hurting my brain so I think I'll just go to sleep…
