Rosemary's POV
I was woken up by a loud thud. What's happening again? Am I gonna die? That's nice I suppose. Maybe next time I won't get reincarnated at all...
I hear a voice say "Dark wyrm? Like a dragon? I guess I'm not becoming a dragon slayer anytime soon. Might as well stash it somewhere until I can figure out how to break it." So whoever said that must be planning to eat me. It's either that or they tried to break into my egg (I think) but failed. Well, since there's nothing I could do, let's just wait.

Rosemary's POV:
After a little while, I felt something hot. Very hot. Like an open flame. Is that dangerous? Well, whatever it is, it is helping me hatch. Should I try to break out? I feel like I should. Yeah, I'm gonna break out of this. Why? Because I feel like it.
I start using my hands (or rather claws) to push near the top of the egg. It felt somewhat weak. I applied some force and it started to crack.
I continued to push until I could feel the top giving out. I then used as much force as I could to crack out the egg I'm in.
When I finally popped out of the egg, I saw that I was surrounded by a lot of white stuff. And the white stuff is on fire right now. Was I in a spider's nest? Cool, I guess. Except for the fact that it's currently burning.
I also see some humans who are way bigger than me. The humans stared at me for a moment before charging at me with metal swords. I thought about whether I should run away or just stay in the egg. I decided I was too lazy to run and just stepped out of my half-broken egg. The humans attempted to attack me, but I somehow managed to dodge all of their attacks.
After a few minutes of dodging, one of them attempted to grab me. I was really annoyed so I bit a bit of his hand off. He cried out in pain and backed off to nurse his injured hand. The others charged at me once again one by one. I aimed at their necks and killed them all. I ended up with a few cuts and burn marks but apart from that, I'm completely fine.
The Mysterious Voice said "You've gained a skill: Fire resistance. Skill: Fire resistance has risen to level 2. Skill: Bite has risen to level 2. Skill: Claw has risen to level 2. Obtained the skills Heretic Magic Lv.1 and Heresy resistance Lv.1 because of the title: Merciless."
My skin started to crack. I emitted a yellow light and when it died down, I couldn't see the burn marks and scratches anymore. I could also see my skin had shed during the process. Is this what they call molting?
Meh, I don't care. I'm hungry. I want to eat the humans I've killed. If this world allows me to level up skills, maybe I can upgrade Appraisal? But first, I need to get out of here. Though getting cooked alive might not be so bad.
Suddenly, I felt something sticky wrap around me. I was then dragged somewhere. After some time, I was let go. I looked around to see that the thing that dragged me was a spider around my size. I appraised it. It only said "Spider." Not very helpful Appraisal.
"Hello there," I said.
The spider reacted and she said: "Can you understand me?"
I nodded my head.
"That's good. My name is Wakaba Hiiro, what about you?"
I blinked. "What was my name again? Oh, right, Rosemary Whites. Just call me Rose or Mary I guess. Also, your name is too hard to remember, so I'll just call you Kumoko. Now, what do you need me for?" I asked.
"Well, I want you to help me get out of here! I've been stuck here for several days! I really want to see the outside world again!" She said,
"I don't care. I've been awake for only 2 to 3 hours and I'm going to assume that you were the one who attempted to eat me? So, I'm not going to help you." I said in distrust.
"Ehhh?! Why not?!" Kumoko asked.
"I don't feel like it," I responded. "However, I'll follow you because your name sounds somewhat familiar, and you seem mildly intelligent or something."
Kumoko's eyes seemed to light up when I said that. "Okay! I want to get stronger! Do you have Appraisal?"
"I do. Why?" I said.
"What level is it at? Mine is at level 4," she bragged.
"Mine is at level 1. I've only appraised 2 things so far. How do you level up appraisal?" I asked.
"You need to appraise different things. Try appraising the wall, the floor, and any monsters we find."
I simply nodded. "I'm hungry. I should have eaten those humans when I had the chance. This is all your fault, Kumoko. Feel guilty." I said bluntly.
