Full Title~ A Fallenclan Challange- Roleplay Character Study: Not Right. Welcome, to this surprisingly quickly written challenge, the Roleplay Character Study Challenge to be exact, and the character it's focusing on, is my beloved Lilith. I hope that you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this!

Lilith stared ahead into the darkness, her usual empty eyes were blank, her body was rigid. Something... Was wrong today... Like all days? Chimed a voice dripped silver-tounges and coated in ice. She didn't respond to the voice, her eyes growing distant, it was reminding her of the day that something... Awfully tragic happen to her parents. A shudder ran down her body, it started with her ears, before slowly making its way down her spine, black fur rising and falling in unison, paws shivered, and it ended with a slow flick to the tail.

A devilish smile crept onto her face, something akin to rage and content filled her eyes, with as lighting she lept to her paws, snarling. Pearly white fangs flashed in the dim light and her claws practically glowed. Emotion left her eyes once again, the only movement was her tall frame going up and down as she walked forwards, eyes glazed and set on nothing. A dry and humorless laugh bubbled up from somewhere deep below, a rueful smile making its way, eyes blank, and not even an ear flick.

She looked at where she had put Liraz's tree, it was in front of her, Another obstacle, what are going to do? Are you going to lose the game? Quietly, she shakily walked over the small tree, it didn't even brush up against her underbelly. She took off running, a mere black blur in the darkness, her legs began to burn, though she only flattened her ears in response. Blood rushed through her system, Blood... The voice mused. Yes, I need blood, not the fire-gods, me.

That's when she knew it, all that she wanted at that moment was to feel someone's life drain before her eyes, blood splashes her legs, and bristle her fur. Lilith continued to her path, making no change for her mission until she made a sudden left turn and began the trek up to the surface. Her eyes never wavered, the pace never faltered, never speeding up or slowing down, it calmed the tick, tock, tick, tock, of her heart.

Moonlight washed over her pelt and she breathed in the fresh air, with a twitch of the whiskers, desire to... She wasn't sure, Lilith took off into the nearby forest, quickly stumbling across a cat. She slunk across the ground and up a tree, careful not to rustle it as she stalked the cat, similar to how she stalked prey. She was glad that it was nighttime, she didn't want to face the sunlight, at least not yet... She narrowed her ice-blue eyes and focused on her target.

Plump, silver tabby, young she-cat by the looks of it, fishing in a creek, casting nervous glances over their shoulder, If only you had been asleep... She thought, before landing on the ground with a soft thump. The cat whipped around, bright green eyes growing large as they saw what had made the noise. Lilith stared at them, a million thoughts racing through her head as she walked up in front of the cat.

"Hello?" The tabby asked, tilting their head to the side, worrying filling their eyes. Lilith's eyes slowly but surely lit up, a slight breeze ruffled her fur, she straightened up, flicking her tail back and forth once slowly, before it turned into a slow lash.

"Lilith..." She whispered slowly, letting the vowels turn and twist in her mouth before she breathed them out.

"Is that your name?" They asked cautiously. "Mines Creek, um, if you don't mind I should get back to my family before they start missing their eldest daughter..." Creek added with a bit of pride in her voice.

As the she-cat turned to leave Lilith began to hum, then some words slipped into her mouth despite herself, "Tick, tock, the time is running out." She answered to herself.

"Um, Lilith?" Creek asked, freezing before turning back around, real fear in her eyes, it was only the tiniest fraction, though it grows within the seconds.

Lilith closed her eyes, crying out and she stumbled back with another cry, memories, emotions, thoughts, and more flooded her senses. The smell of her father's blood, the weight of nothing on her shoulders, free from all, and trapped by everything.

"And that's where you made your mistake," She said icily, her eyes opened wide, passion-filled them to the brim, a smile of pure joy, a stance filled with innocence, and an excited purr rumbling. All of it was still so similar to that day, eerily so. "You said my name!" She cried out with joy, her fractured mind was giddy, she lept at the horrified Creek. They tumbled to the ground together, landing in almost the same exact stance as before...

She was top, tail lashing, and claws dug in, stoic yet terrified cat below her, she leaned down and purred, rubbing her head against Creek's neck. She could feel the frantic heart beating, though Creek hadn't made a sound. Tick tock, will this end like before? Tick tock, how will you react? Lilith shivered happily, though surprising there was no madness in her eyes, and even more surprisingly no guilt. Only joy and kit-like innocence danced in her gaze, in the shape of burning flames filled with passion.

Lilith's smile grew larger, and she started to play with the she-cat, waiting for Creek to strike her match, and she meant that quite literally. A claw moved towards the silver and black ear, close enough to feel the little she-cat hold her breath. It wrapped around the delicate skin, she curled her paw, one nick, two nicks, three nicks forming, Well, aren't you going to take it off? A voice scoffed, Or are you too weak, or are you too trapped in chains?

Slightly purring, she let go of the ear, watching it curiously as blood slowly dripped from the cuts she had made, the crimson trail made its way down the side of the she-cats head, drying quickly from exposure to air on Creek's right shoulder. Weak, not even stronger enough to break an ear? I thought you were stronger than this? What do you call this? Because it certainly isn't anything impressive, not even sure if you can be called my precious Night Monster anymore...

Flattening her ears, she tried her very best to ignore the voice, though it seemed to be harder than she wanted. A little growl of frustration escaped her throat, and the tabby flinched from beneath her. Lilith smiled, a weak smile, and hesitated before leaning down beside Creek's other ear, she could feel the she-cat freeze in her grasp and saw that her eyes were growing larger.

"It's going to be okay," She soothed in an emotionless voice, eyes growing glassy, Is it though? A disappointment like you is going to be okay? Lilith felt her spine stiffen and she jerked her head up, snarling, Creek relaxed ever so slightly, before shifting her shoulder to get into a more comfortable position, well that's what she assumed.

Lilith sighed, she was quickly becoming bored, and the silver she-cat could feel it, she scanned the tabby's body for her next target, Creek's eyes were squeezed shut, and impossibly tight. Without a second thought, she whirled around to snap at the black tail-tip that had stilled, her teeth only pierced the skin, not breaking the bone, and she purred.

A small gasp sounded out from behind her, whipping around Lilith smiled, Creek's eyes were still shut, though her mouth was open, the smile mellowed, no longer having to celebrate her victory. The blood was starting to show just on the tip of her claws, a devilish light came to her eyes, lashing her tail she smoothly jumped off of the silver tabby.

"Why are you letting me up?" Creek said nervously, shooting up from the ground, wincing from her injuries and the blood that rushed to her head. Lilith only returned a small smile and a wink. Bright green eyes filled with concern and fear, black tail-tip coming to rest on the ground, with matching flattened black ear-tips as well, taking it as a sign, Lilith began to walk around Creek in a circle, slowly.

Creek stilled, murmuring under her breath, which happened to spark something inside of Lilith, she slammed into the younger cat, knocking her down again. Lilith's eyes were large, tail lashing, ear flattened, instead of Creek. On cue, the silver tabby shifted her shoulders again, and ivory claws dug into the shoulder deeper than previously before bright green eyes were dulled and glassy with pain.

"Don't call for help from your dead!" Lilith cried out, clearly distressed, Creek stared back at her in surprise and confusion, as she tried to blink away the tears. "No, you should only call for help, from, from, from..." Lilith struggled to find the right words, any normal time she would've sported a genuine smile and say, 'Make sure to pray to the fire-gods!' Before ending the cat's life, but now... It didn't seem quite right...

"Maybe you don't deserve to die!" Lilith hissed, a cruel smile she sported instead, ice-cold. Flicking her tail, and tilting her head to the side almost innocently, she used a claw, unsheathed, to forcefully lift Creek to look into her eyes. Another claw was used to shift to the side so the tabby could see her nuzzle the grey-furred neck, Hmm, should I make do on what I said, and give her something worst than death?

Cautiously, Lilith hopped off of the younger she-cat to watch if she would move. Creek, in fact, didn't move, irritated at the pathetic tabby, Lilith slashed at the she-cat's right back leg, the same side as the ear injury. Bringing her paw down on it again, the silver tabby had little time to react, she didn't listen or acknowledge the gasps coming from her plaything or cries of pain.

As quick as lighting, Lilith snapped at the leg in the same spot, remembering something that Creek had said earlier, Really, that's all you can do, and I thought that you were supposed to be fierce. A louder cry, a louder gasp, and a stiffening body as the leg perfectly broke, snapped in half. I guess that big sister Creek wouldn't be doing much hunting. Though no amusement was evident on her face.

"Yet up," Lilith order coldly, taking a step or two away from where Creek lay. The silver tabby nodded swiftly and rushed to stand up. Lilith took in the one victim that had escaped her reach, of being killed at least. She could suppose that Creek was pretty, in a unique way, to say the least, nothing compared to her, or Liraz of course, but still...

Glossy silver fur, marred with black tabby stripes, painting her ear-tips and tail-tip black as well. Some white was zig-zagged down her underbelly, and her paws, giving her more of a dainty look. Large, bright green eyes set in the fur, above a black nose and long white whiskers, Nothing impressive, but not boring at all. A small smile etched its way onto her own features as she noticed the nicked ear dried with blood, broken leg and the overall way that Creek held herself.

"I..." Lilith started before trailing, it's not like she was rushed, Creek wouldn't dare move from her spot and risk her own life like that, after all, she had... Family, Lilith closed her eyes and let out a soft breath.

"I hope that we can meet again, under different..." Lilith struggled, not yet opening her eyes, she wanted it to be true, without any tricks or lies, a few more moments passed before she felt ready to answer, and she could hear Creek shifting her paws.

"I hope that we can meet again, under different circumstances," Lilith said finally, opening her eyes to reveal a soft smile, and tired eyes that were still as piercing as ever, though there was more she wanted, had to say. "It was my honor to meet you, and I wish the best for you, for the rest of your life, Creek..." She finished, her tail began to flick back and forth in tune with the tick, tock, that was still running through her mind.

Creek's eyes widened in surprise, though she dipped her head in response to Lilith's words. Creek proceeded to close her eyes as well, and somewhere deep in the back of Lilith's mind, she was overjoyed that Creek trusted her enough to close them in front of her, especially after what had happened.

"I can't say that I necessarily hope that we will meet again," Creek said, pausing. "But if it did happen, I won't say that it would be a bad thing, Lilith..." She added almost wistfully, her eyes full of sadness as she gazed at her attacker, though her eye was as bright had they had been before the attack and a bittersweet smile on her face.

Lilith purred softly, "I can understand that," A moment of silence was held as they reflected and studied each other, both wondering what was going on in the other's thoughts.

"I should get going," Creek said, at last, her broken leg was lying limp beside her, and the pain was visible in her eyes, though somehow a smile graced her face at the same time.

"Of course," Lilith said, dipping her head and taking a step back. There was much to talk about between them, and yet, nothing at all to speak of. "Tick tock, our time has run out..." She added in a mere whisper. Creek though had heard it, and the smile on her face grew larger.

"Tick, tock, our time hasn't run out," The silver tabby sang, before she smiled one last time at Lilith, and turned around and limped out of the clearing, and back to where her family slept, peacefully unaware of what had happened.

Lilith nodded numbly after the she-cat, not closing her eyes she tried to track the minty and rainwater scent of the strange she-cat. Her words were replaying in her head, Tick-tock, our time hasn't run out. Once the she-cat had left, she wandered back to the entrance back into the firestarters camp, though instead of going back down, she sat down and watched the sunrise. Something is not right, today...

An: I was originally going to make this into a normal post, then it became a little longer than I'd like. So I put it aside, found a challenge that I could work with, and tada! The title, not right, was to signify that something was 'not right' with Lilith, or in her opinion, not everyone else. The strange voice, or mean one, was actually her mother's, and it's the same reason she's not doing what it's taunting her for. Since Lilith is identifying with being a female, her mother's voice in her head, the beat from when she killed her father playing her head, etc. I wanted to show what happens when she hears her name, and Creek was originally going to die, but I wanted something worse to happen to Lilith. Yes, I know, my characters just love me, and maybe to death. For those of you in Fallenclan, and for those of you who are curious, this takes place the night Nox made her first kill. And since that happened, it made her remember this, since unconsciously, Lilith thinks that Nox's kill was wrong, or not correct, even though she had been clear she had wanted Nox to break her promise in the first place. She also subconsciously links it with her parent's deaths, thus making her act a little strange... Well, different than usual, from being a playful and crazy killer, can't say I'm sorry. Anyways, that's it from me! ~ Mist
